Little Lord Lindsey tries to be relevant

GOP 'made some pretty poor choices'
Little Lord Lindsey Graham

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) said that Republicans "made some pretty poor choices" in choosing their Senate candidates this fall.

Graham, in a Senate floor speech on Saturday, made an aside comment underscoring the frustration the GOP faced after some Tea Party-aligned nominees fell short in their campaigns.

I have nothing to add.

The Feds Have Been Tracking
Our Credit Cards in Real Time.

It's painful to awake each day, knowing full well what's ahead.
The revelation sheds a little more light on the Justice Department’s increasing power and willingness to surveil Americans with little to no judicial or Congressional oversight.

Federal law enforcement agencies have been tracking Americans in real-time using credit cards, loyalty cards and travel reservations without getting a court order

Ah, for the good old days of the Clinton Administration and its paltry new lie every day, and new scandal every week.  Sigh.  I'd say that impeachment of Holder and Obama is now unavoidable.  That, or justifiable open rebellion (based on 2000 years of unenslaved human behavior).  These are very bad people we put in office.

NEWT WITS

“We are not going to deport 11 million people,” Gingrich said Thursday as he kicked off his first forum on Latino issues. “There has to be some zone between deportation and amnesty.”  Newt keeping high-flying Republicans grounded in reality.

The US will not use nuclear
weapons ... even if attacked
with biological or chemical weapons!

Way to negotiate numb-nuts

When in American history have so many pols failed to understand what real people tried to pound into their thick skulls?  What makes them think we want to be grounded? - and what does that mean? I have questions for  Newt:

ME
NEWT
What if we really want to expel illegal aliens?  Is it smart to begin the debate by saying "We Won't"
People need to be grounded in reality.
"Reality?"
It's not practical
Says Who?
Everybody with sense
Like Michael Chertoff?
There will be exceptions
Like the 81% of actual citizens who agree with what he said?
They don't understand the logistics involved, or the consequences.
Consequences?
We need outreach to Latino voters
By being unprincipled?
You've been listening to too many Teaparty crazies.
You're considering a run for president in 2012.  I'm wondering.  Is it that you know, like John McCain did in 2008, that you have zero chance of getting conservative support, and like McCain must pander to the Democrat Media Complex so they engineer your nomination ?
Did you know that our air traffic control radar still uses vacuum tubes ....

Dem Senator:
Negotiating with Republicans "Almost"
like Negotiating with "Terrorists"

Wise White Owl

Negotiating with Republicans Almost like Negotiating with Terrorists

That would be, not that it matters, Senator Robert Menendez (D-NJ) speaking.  Like you, I've spent years trying to decide whether this type of outrageously hypocritical statement made by Liberals -
  1. are cynically designed for effect?
  2.  represent raw ideological beliefs?
Consider: Menendez's statements might fulfill Alinsky  Rule 2

  • : Never go outside the experience of your people.  The result is confusion, fear, and retreat.
All of us have friends and relatives whose head would explode if someone like Menendez told the truth about anything, so there's that argument for contrivance.  On the other hand, even the dullest Democrats (Patty Murray, Barbara Boxer, et al.) are too quick to utter what we think of as "The Big Lie," which sometimes leads me to think they really believe their own s*it.

“Do you allow yourself to be held hostage and get something done for the sake of getting something done, when in fact it might be perverse in its ultimate results? It’s almost like the question of do you negotiate with terrorists.” Sen. Robert Menendez

That quote by Menendez, I think, is a good example of  Boomerang Self Personification (BSP).  Always accuse others of that which you're already doing; it incorporates both  possibilities. Does it really matter though?  When you're dealing with Communists, the Taliban, or Party Line Democrats it's kill or be killed (hyperbolic where necessary).  Bottom line, I'm introducing a new topic, "They may actually believe this s*it!"
