Defend yourselves by any means necessary

Brutal Mexican drug gang crosses into U.S.

Zetas butcher victims to spread message of fear

ITEM
Mexican drug leaders have made a decision not to bring their violence north of the border because it would jeopardize their sophisticated business model. (September 2009)

ITEM
This is a clip from a documentary about the Mexican drug cartels.  It sums up in 90 seconds what we're up against.  Check out Rolling Stone's Investigation  (first posted last September) for a look into how sophisticated they've become, and how utterly pathological they remain.  Looking at how we're dealing with al-Qaeda terrorists in this country will tell you how much chance we have of ending the threat.  Which is why I should be running Homeland Security. (Sunday, January 31, 2010)
ITEM
how bad of an incident will we need until the power that be finally fortify the border? I am not talking sending unarmed National Guard, but installing concertina wire, minefield, and free fire zones?

A murder here and there is not enough. Will the banditos cease and slaughter an entire town before we get serious?
ITEM- TODAY
The (useless) U.S. Homeland Security Department has said that Mexican drug cartels, including the Zetas, have infiltrated 276 U.S. cities and represent the nation’s most serious organized-crime threat. (Brutal Mexican drug gang crosses into U.S.)

GAH! Our worthless government will get us all killed - if we let them.

Guess Ms. Incompetano was right, the borders ARE safe; it's these 276 cities IN the US we have to worry about.
Open season on Zetas, no permit required.

Black Jack Pershing may be dead, but there is a breaking point. We haven't played Cowboys & Zetas yet.

I agree Casca but we're never going to be playing with President Motown at the helm.

When we get some one in there with some balls, like Sarah or Col West, we'll need to get about a 50-100 mile buffer zone on the Mexican side, build an Escape from New York Wall and then start to work on these killers already here.

And while we're at it, every illegal needs to be deported.

Move the USMC Scout/Sniper school from Quantico to Brownsville. Every 10th confirmed and you get a "96". Take half of the billets from TSA and instead of having union idiots scratching their ass in the airport, Homeland Security has to hire Border Patrol. Any homes caught selling, growing or trafficking in the U.S. get razed by a Caterpillar D9 much like the Israeli policy. This includes section 8 and government housing.

This is getting very close to making an important point. In every flow control or pest control project, the 1st step is to establish an Action Level.

If your gas tank is leaking, will you pay to fix it when it loses A) 1 gallon/year, B) 1 gallon/month, C) 1 gallon/day.

Similarly, how many mice can you tolerate in your kitchen before you pay for an exterminator? A) 1 mouse/year, B) 1 mouse/month, C) 1 mouse/day.

The 2nd step is to establish an envelop. This is important, because we must always assume that the area outside the envelope has an infinite number of pests. Until the envelope is sealed, it is impossible to reduce the number of pests down to the Action Level.

Step three is to trap/kill the pests. Since a sealed envelope resists the pressure of replacement pests, economical reductions can be made to reach the Action Level.

Just to be plain, this is exactly why any kind of immigration reform is doomed before the border is sealed/barricaded/mined until it becomes practically impenetrable. There is always pressure. Only when the holes are sealed and the flow is turned off, can we achieve actually reductions in the number of resident illegal aliens.

Nothing ever gets done until it HAS to be done and with an over-reaction.

Nothing will happen until a city gets incinerated and then the guard towers with snipers using low-light scopes will suddenly appear all along the borders.

I don't know if it's the Zetas here in Arizona but I do know the fuckers are having shootouts in the desert about 10 miles south of my home in the City of Maricopa. No amount of blowing rainbows up my ass will change the reality for those of us who live within the drug corridor between the Arivaca area where illegals cross and Phoenix Metro. This guy is a shill.

The answer to all of the gangster violence of the prohibition era was to repeal it.

Is this the solution to this problem? I don't know. It does seem to take the violence out of the equation, but may open the door to more social problems. In the case of alcohol, ending prohibition was definitely the way to go.

Countries like Portugal have shown that the same solution may apply to drugs as well.

Rodge,

I have been monitoring and translating Mexican drug war news since April 24th of last year for Rantburg.com, including original news analysis.

You can find articles I have written in the past in these archives here. The list is updated every five days or so.

Why did the Rolling Stones 'guy' disregard the 4 border states, skip over Louisiana and Mississippi, and look into Alabama?

If he had done his homework he'd find that the Dixie Mafia has a very firm hold on the drug trade, and retaliation trade, in the Deep South.

That vid was rather 'mossy' IMO
