Mad Men Run Amok

MAD MEN run Amok

   At The Cinema

Series Two of "Sherlock," the greatest series ever made (alas, just three 90 minute episodes per series), is now available on NetFlix.   Bringing the iconic detective from the late 19th century into current day 21st century is so well done that I find it  more appealing than the original.  Great, great fun.

Obama's Wad

President flashes wad of cash  ...

Res Ipsa Loquitor I think this is what people knowledgeable  about Obama's Chicago days saw in yesterday's Drudge pic

Yes Virginia, there is a deep rooted difference

Kids are told there are no differences between boys and girls. They are told there is no such thing ultimately as right and wrong. Values are relative. Truth is relative. Morality is defined by individual choice. If that isn't a recipe for sexual harassment and other forms of sexual and physical abuse, I don't know what it is. - Rush Limbaugh

Obama’s Muslim apology tour card

Obama’s Muslim apology tour deserves a Hallmark card sentiment

You Know What You Did!
Res Ipsa Loquitor

I strolled into my neighborhood Hallmark store looking for an appropriate card to send to some Middle East Muslims expressing my condolences for grievances they may have against my country and against Jews who might have offended them throughout the years. I saw the birthday cards, the grieving cards, those celebrating weddings, and others, but none fit my search. Neither did the clerk recall ever having seen such a card. I called her attention to the many apologies that President Obama has made to Muslims, and she agreed that there would seem to be a need for cards of this nature. I walked out shaking my head, wondering why American ingenuity did not understand the market that exists for such a card.

Muslims seem to be a special breed of people to this president. [Alan Bergstein cont]

On the subject of stupid people ...

Oh Yeah!?!

After #8 ranked West Virgina (Mountaineers) edged Maryland on Saturday, this discussion thread caught me attention.

Mountaineer#1 - "that place laid the foundation for who I am. A lot of outsiders make fun of it and say negative things about West Virginia. Fuck them" - Jerry West

Terp #1 - I think Maryland ultimately wins, because, at the end of the day, we don't have to stay in West Virginia.

Mountaineer#2  - Tax

Terp #2 - They got us on taxes.... MD taxe code is awful

Terp#3 -That is why I now live in Texas

Terp#3 - SC for me

Mountaineer #3   Oh God yes

As a West Virginian now living in Maryland… thank God I don’t have to pay MD income taxes (military)

Meanwhile, each passing day brings more media discussion about Md Gov .Martin O'Malley's (The White Obama) chances in the 2016 presidential race.

If anything ever happens to Obama, Biden will be the dumbest man in America

Last night on 60 Minutes:

1.) The buck stops here, to some degree --

"As president I bear responsibility for everything, to some degree ... "

Let see how this might play elsewhere in history. "We shall never surrender," Churchill said, "to some degree." Or: "Tear down this wall," Reagan demanded, "to some degree." Or possibly: "I'm the decider," George W. Bush said, "to some degree." Or how about another formulation: "We shall return!" General MacArthur declared, "perhaps." Some how these statements no longer sound as strong.

2.) How quickly can Obama contradict himself?

When it comes to regulations, I've issued fewer regulations than my predecessor George Bush did during that same period in office. So it's kind of hard to argue that we've overregulated." ...
But thirty second later, Obama warned Bush's strategy of rolling back regulations wasn’t a 'recipe for success.'"
