Chapel Hill Killer Registered At and Voted From Mental Hospital
Dozens of mentally disabled registered in stepped-up efforts by state [to impose its will on the electorate]

Recent stepped-up voter registration efforts at state mental hospitals and facilities for the developmentally disabled resulted in the registration of Wendell Justin Williamson, who in 1995 killed two people in Chapel Hill and was judged not guilty by reason of insanity. Election records show Williamson, a patient at Central Regional Hospital in Butner, was registered on Sept. 13 as an unaffiliated voter. TODAY'S QUIZ
ROGUE GOVERNMENT

Res Ipsa Loquitor

Here's today's quiz (to which I have no answer).

Our constitution famously created three co-equal branches of government, the better to keep one rogue branch from taking over.  I can cite numerous cases where the legislative branch have trumped an executive branch action, and vice-versa, but for the life of me, I cannot think of a single case where the judicial branch has been quashed .  Can you?  If not, what does that mean (I can answer that).

RED YAWN

The Original

I saw a promo for the remake of  Red Dawn.  I was unimpressed.  I cannot imagine that Red Dawn 2 will capture the public's  imaginations the way the original, low rent production did.  I don't know who the protaganist invader are this time (They were the Soviet Union's Cuban puppets last time), but I suspect the Tea Party?  No?  Then who?   The only protaganists that could genearte like enthusiam this time around I think, are  the Congressioanl Black Caucus, Moslems, or Hollywood producers.  WOLVERINE!
In gathering the video clip above, I discovered the new villain areNorth Korea.  Hollwood is evidently unaware that the Il family are an enormous joke anymore, having been forever marginilized by the film Team America.

The group hosting international election observers said Thursday that state officials in Iowa and Texas are needlessly blocking access to the decades-old process the United States already has agreed to, an official said Thursday.

Thomas Rymer, a spokesman for the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe, said the group will abide by election laws after officials in those states warned about possible criminal prosecution if the observers came within hundreds of feet of polling places.

With the exception of small patches of cancerous cells, Texas refusal to relinquish her sovereignty is really no surprise.  Iowa's is.  HurraH!
