Adolphus Busch IV resigns NRA membership
Because his Belgian Owners Made Him?
Known in the business world as "Bud Light"

I'm sorry, it seems Bush Busch 4 is little more than a coupon clipper anymore.
  • After Anheuser-Busch's acquisition by InBev, August A. Busch IV was replaced as the subsidiary president by Dave Peacock.
My gut tells me he's seeking relevance with the smart set that used to dote on him.

Ridiculous comment of the year – Andrew Cuomo connects climate change and bombing

Res Ipsa Loquitor

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo connects the Boston terrorist bombing and climate change as the “new normal”:
The runner up comment goes to Brad Johnson of Forecast the Facts:

The only poison here is Brad and Andrew’s distorted worldview of seeing the climate change bogeyman in every weather event.

“It’s a terrible situation in Boston. And, unfortunately, … one gets the sense that this is more reflective of the ‘new normal,’ if you will,” he explained. “So much of society is changing so rapidly. We talk about a ‘new normal’ when it comes t0 climate change and adjusting to a change in the weather patterns. ‘New normal’ when it comes to public security in a post-9/11 world. Where these random acts of violence, which at one time were implausible, now seem all-too-frequent.” [Source: ]

The Notebook

The Notebook

I'm not naive.  The Notebook, book and movie, had my wife—and every other woman—all atwitter in 2004, so they all saw it.

The movie focuses on an old man reading a story to an old woman in a nursing home. The story he reads follows two young lovers named Allie Hamilton and...

MoSup saw it with her mother.  It probably won a bunch of awards?, but still, I know there are lots of people like me who never bothered (... reading a story to an old woman in a nursing home?  Puh-leezz).

I watched it a few days ago.  Didn't know what it was when I stumbled across it, so I scheduled it to record later that day.  People who like the smell of  beer and cordite will like this movie - if you're over 50 anyway.  Can't speak for the young pups. It's a good story, with handsome people acting good, and it will rekindle your own sweet memories.  Just watch it when nobody else is around. You'll want to squeeze Rachel-McAdam's guts out.

Interesting.  Not a word about him helping Nazis find Hungarian Jew hidden treasures.  Nor,  that he has personally financed just about every leftist group in the United States.  Nor, his role in crashing the US economy (just in time to save Obama's election).  Nor, his bitter attacks on Christianity.

While not wishing death on anyone, I will not miss him when it does catch up with him.

I am not trying to infer that all Moslems are terrorists.  I am saying that Islam is incompatible with democracy, and is to be feared as much as, if not more than, communism or the Democrat Party..
