AUGUST 31--In a confidential memo to fellow staffers, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee’s diversity director last year outlined “best practices” when dealing with the "radical" Black Lives Matter movement, including the avoidance of phrases like “all lives matter” and “black on black crime,” which “anger BLM activists” and are “viewed as red herring attacks.”

The November 2015 memo, authored by Troy Perry, notes that the document “should not be emailed or handed to anyone outside of the building. Please only give campaign staff these best practices in meetings or over the phone.”

The Perry memo was posted late Tuesday evening to the WordPress blog of “Guccifer 2.0,” the hacker who has taken credit for intrusions into the DCCC and Democratic National Committee computer systems.

Since writing the BLM memo, Perry (seen above) has left the DCCC for a job with Hillary Clinton’s campaign.

Noting that presidential candidates “have struggled to respond to tactics” of BLM, Perry advised that House candidates and campaign staff “should be prepared.”

To that end, Perry counseled that “If approached by BLM activists,” staffers should meet with group members and listen to their concerns, but not “offer support for concrete policy positions.” Perry recommended that Democrats “Be a Partner & Lead From Behind” since leary BLM members “don’t want their movement co-opted by the Democratic Party.”

Reid calls on FBI to investigate if Trump ....

"If you're trying to change minds and influence people it's probably not a good idea to say that virtually all elected Democrats are liars, but what the hell." TRKOF

Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid has asked FBI Director James Comey to investigate whether GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump is conspiring with the Russians to swing the election, and whether Russia is using the campaign "to advance the interests of Russian President Vladimir Putin."

Reid pointed to the recent hacking of the Democratic National Committee emails as well as the House Democratic campaign arm, which has been blamed on the Russian government.

Homeland in charge of elections ???

Homeland (Obama) eyes special
declaration to take charge of elections

A White House policy directive adds, "The federal government also has a responsibility to strengthen the security and resilience of its own critical infrastructure, for the continuity of national essential functions, and to organize itself to partner effectively with and add value to the security and resilience efforts of critical infrastructure owners and operators."

Even before the FBI identified new cyber attacks on two separate state election boards, the Department of Homeland Security began considering declaring the election a "critical infrastructure," giving it the same control over security it has over Wall Street and and the electric power grid.

At the time, Johnson did not mention specific security issues, but the FBI has since cited one hack and another attempt.
The latest admissions of attacks could speed up that effort possibly including the upcoming presidential election, according to officials.

"We should carefully consider whether our election system, our election process, is critical infrastructure like the financial sector, like the power grid," Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson said.

"There's a vital national interest in our election process, so I do think we need to consider whether it should be considered by my department and others critical infrastructure," he said at media conference earlier this month hosted by the Christian Science Monitor. [Arghhhhhhhh]

Let's get this straight.  A government that fights tooth and nail against any effort to require voter ID, and have expanded the early voter system to a month before the election (making it impossible to monitor); and are now facing the possibility, if not likelihood, of massive voter revolt,  now decide they must protect this  "critical infrastructure"  by turning the process over to ... themselves?

Suggestions? Ahem.
