An email sent to students by a University of Maryland official that cites the Trayvon Martin shooting as evidence "it is legal to hunt down and kill American children in Florida" is being blasted as the latest evidence of a left-wing bias on campus.

The email, from William Dorland, director of the school's Honors College, starts by welcoming students back to campus, but then quickly veers into politics.

TYRANNY OF THE URBAN MAJORITY

KING NUMBERS: THE TYRANNY OF THE URBAN MAJORITY
by PATRICK HENRY

Res Ipsa Loquitor

Note:

Dear patron of our humble website,

The only hope then is secession, not from the United States, but from Maryland. Even though a new state would not be able to avoid the mandate of uniform apportionment, it would not matter. The ten counties (Harford and the Eastern Shore) would be of one mind on many issues, including respect of property. If this is not a sufficient reason to secede, then what is?

Bye, Bye Maryland!
Before you take the time to read the following essay, please note that the first few paragraphs concern federal law suits and the issue of constitutionality.  While interesting to masochists like myself, these paragraphs are not necessary to read and understand the purpose of this essay, though, they will give you an undeniable advantage over any liberal Democrat from the Baltimore-Washington corridor when discussing the topic of the tyranny of Maryland’s Government.  Those wishing to skip my Constitutional soliloquy, please start reading at paragraph number 5.

I happened upon this treatise, and as also happens from time to time I found it epiphanic.  While nominally discussing the plight of Marylanders under the heavy boot of state Democrats—quite disproportionately, and illegally as it turns out— the whoseits and whatsits are applicable to everybody. I am told that constitutional law is not taught in any of the state's law schools, so I am already one-up on Maryland's liberal mountebanks  in that regard.  Here below are a few snippets.  I'll put the entire article into the Defining Articles library for easy future reference.

One of the most overlooked and misunderstood aspects of the United States Constitution are Sections 2 and 3 of Article I; these set out the guidelines for selecting members to the United States Senate and House of Representatives.  Ever since the infamous court cases of Baker v. Carr (1962) and Reynolds v. Sims (1964), most Americans, who have any interest in government and politics, have come to the mistaken belief that Founding Fathers of our country intended for the legislative leaders of this country to be apportioned with mathematical scrutiny in adherence to the motto, “One Man, One Vote.”  In practical terms this means that every Congressional District must contain the same number of citizens, as well as the Legislative Districts in each State having a uniform number of citizens.

The Chief Justice during these two erroneous court decisions was Earl Warren who, like so many Justices of the Supreme Court in the past half century, must have slept his way through law school when the professors were teaching Constitutional Law.  Either that, or they were not taught that historical context is vital to understanding the Founders’ intentions.  Where did the Warren Court get their authority?  Apparently, the 14th Amendment.  With all due respect to those it was trying to help, viz. blacks, this is the most poorly written and abused Amendment in American history.  The Warren Court decided in Baker v. Carr that the “Equal Protection Clause” demanded that states apportion their Congressional Districts uniformly.  Interesting, is it not, that while States are allegedly commanded by the Constitution to apportion their Congressional Districts in said manner, the Federal Government was allowed to maintain the policy that all States, no matter their size, were permitted two senators.  Hypocrisy?  Or was it a terrible or deliberate misreading of a section of an Amendment whose spirit was to protect blacks?  The answer is: Yes!  To Both
[...]
second, the mere thought that the letter of the 14th Amendment implies a revision of Article I, Sections 2 and 3 of the Constitution is a ridiculous premise, ipso facto; likewise, the thought that the spirit of the 14th Amendment was to promote anything other than the fair treatment of blacks is ludicrous as well.  Certainly, if it could be clearly proven that individual States were intentionally disenfranchising blacks with insidious congressional districting, meant to take away their voice in government, perhaps there would be an argument.  But if that is the case, not only would such geographical districting be very difficult to achieve, how would those ends be any different from the gerrymandering for other unethical reasons that have existed since the 1800s?  Or, why was the Senate left untouched?  One could argue that majority white States that are small in population (e.g. Wyoming) get the same number of senators as large, multi-ethnic, urban states (e.g. New York).  At the very least, racism aside, the 14th Amendment was never meant to be used in any apportionment case based solely on population discrepancies between districts. U.S. $ponsors Event Featuring Ex ACORN Chief Trashing Whites

Res Ipsa Loquitor
Oh, the Humanity

President Obama and more than a dozen U.S. government agencies participated in a Washington D.C. conference that featured a keynote speaker—a black activist who headed the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN)—who made racist remarks about whites.

It gets better; American taxpayers helped fund the annual event, put on by the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation (CBCF), a group that aims to improve the socioeconomic circumstances of African Americans and other underserved communities. Each exhibitor paid $2,000 to participate in the yearly showcase which is billed as one of the largest gatherings of African American professionals. [...]

Bertha Lewis, the former CEO of ACORN, the famously corrupt community group with strong ties to Obama, took the stage. [Full Judicial Watch]

Lewis urged blacks to support increased immigration as a way to gain political power against whites. “We got some Latino cousins, we got some Asian cousins, we got some Native-American cousins, we got all kind of cousins,” Lewis said. “Cousins need to get together because if we’re going to be [part of the non-white] majority, it makes sense for black people in this country to get down with immigration reform.”

Lewis continued: “Everyone, even all white folks in this country, acknowledge that in a minute, [the] United States of America will be a new majority, will be majority minority, a brand-new thing.” In 2012, “for the first time ever in history, African-Americans outvoted white Americans.

If establishing White Americans as the enemy is trashing, then that's what she's done. What a disgrace, but not at all surprising from this President. It's also a disgrace that ignorant, ill educated felons like Bertha Lewis are  the spokesmen Obama turns to.

In the first place, that Home-Boy coalition she waxes on about is a contrivance.  Blacks hate Asian guts, because through industriousness they own much of the commerce in Black neighborhoods.  For their part, Asians sneer at Blacks, and refer to their welfare checks as "Black Gold."  Hard core West coast Hispanics hate everyone. Native American cousins indeed.  And her  “for the first time ever in history, African-Americans outvoted white Americans,"
is a purposeful lie, or more likely a product of her self imposed fecklessness and stupidity.

If it was Obama's intent to divide American along  racial lines, and it manifestly was, he's succeeded admirably.

The 'fallen' were left to be washed away by the tide at the end of the day
Res Ipsa Loquitor

A pair of British artists have created this stunning installation of 9,000 silhouettes on a D-Day Landings beach to mark international Peace Day.

The project, named, 'The Fallen' is a tribute to the civilians, German forces and Allies who lost their lives during the Operation Neptune landing on June 6, 1944.

The design was the brainchild of Jamie Wardley, 33, and Andy Moss, 50.

Together with a team of volunteers the pair travelled to Arromanches beach, Normandy, to create the silhouettes, which were individually drawn into the sand. [Full]

"Peace Day" sophistry aside, this is an excellent companion piece to the opening 30 minutes of "Saving Private Ryan." We are so used to the hyperbolical use of numbers that it takes pictures like those to drive home the horror of D-Day beaches, and 9000 casualties.

A curmudgeonly aside.  It is my misfortune that MoSup watches the Today Show each  morning.  Before I could skedaddle today, I was treated to  Matt Lauer 's segment "Zimmerman's wife holds her ground."  Evidently she is filing for divorce from the beast because, who knows; he broke the iPad with her evidence. She did mention that she'd  "lost 40 pounds, " and was ready to "move on."  Right.  Anyway, Lauer did his damnedest to get her to say that he lied about "targeting" the Trayvon thug, to no avail.  They just will not give up on this. But here's the linkage to Normandy.

I can see a  1940's Matt Lauer interviewing widows and mothers  every morning about how they feel about the death of their husband/son.  "In retrospect, do you  feel it was worth the loss of your loved one for this cause?"   Because that's what they've done during every war since Vietnam.  And it's why women feel that Liberals have their six. Sheesh.

Oh good lord ...

Is is possible that several hundred thousand Marylanders from Montgomery and P.G. Counties have fled to Virginia?  How else could a shifty ex-Clinton enabler like McAufful even be in this race (he's+5)?  I mean, wtf?

Virginia, under the stewardship of Governor Bob McDonnell and Attorney General Cuccinelli built a thriving economy  second to none. And they successfully challenged Obama initiatives like Obama care.  The Tale of Two States says it all.

McAufful is a savvy politician and skilled con-man, so what does he know that would prompt him to see enactment of a Colorado style gun law in Virginia as a plus? Mayor Bloomberg certainly thinks he has leverage on McAuffle, and maybe he does?  Or, does McAufful have the election results in hand?  I'm just asking.

Here's the Richmond Time's endorsement "McAufful is the Better Choice"

"The good news is that both candidates for governor have offered plans for public schools. I've studied both plans closely, and I've concluded that Terry McAufful has the better plan to raise student achievement."

That's it?  A better plan to raise student achievement gobbledygook?  I fear Virginia is about to be Obama'd.   And I will have lost my escape hatch.

EVER stay in a terrible hotel? My worst was a hotel in Bombay (now Mumbai). The sheet had stuck to the mattress. I made the mistake of peeling a corner back. At once, hundreds of ants escaped. I did not pay the bill. This 4Chan member had an experience in Motel 6, Mishawaka, Indiana

These pics were taken at 3AM on a rainy night in Sept. 2013. Checked in after a 15-hour drive and was greeted with the grossest room ever. Left after 40 minutes to pitch a tent in the rain, and have not received a refund or any satisfactory action. Will never again trust Motel 6, and will make sure as many people as possible see these photos.

The TV remote control was enough to send me scurrying.  Is the Motel 6 chain still around?  Yes.  Yes it is, and so is Mishawaka #4412.  Since the above review was posted 25th, September,2013(yesterday), I'd say somebody Motel6 must be a lair.

McConnell Backs Obamacare against Tod Cruz

Mitch McConnell Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things

MELTDOWN! GOP BOSSES' PHONES UNPLUGGED

Res Ipsa Loquitor
Mr. Cruz Goes to Washington

Following the epic, 21-hour speech by Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, supporting the defunding of Obamacare, either voters made so many calls to establishment Republicans that their phone lines melted, or those GOP leaders took their phones off the hook.

Even in this age of digital wizardry and limitless voicemail, callers could not get through at all to Sen. Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky.

A message said the senator was experiencing a high volume of calls and directed members of the public to call back later or visit his website.

It was the same story with the man who was the face of the GOP in the 2008 elections, former GOP presidential candidate Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz.

His phone was off the hook, too. Callers got a message stating his voicemail box was full.

The Arizona senator apparently had other matters on his mind during the Cruz speech, tweeting, “Final episode of #Broadchurch tonight – one of the most entertaining shows on TV right now.”

That prompted conservative commentator Michelle Malkin to tweet, “Meanwhile, McCain is tweeting about a TV show. See the problem here, America?”

Callers to Minority Whip Sen John Cornyn, R-Texas, also got a message saying the line was busy, but at least those callers were sent to voicemail.

McConnell announced Monday he does not support the attempt by Cruz to defund Obamacare. [Full]

   Economic Warfare: Fire Starters

This is a likely cause of the 346 homes lost in the Waldo Canyon fire in Colorado Springs...and now 510 homes in Black Forest at Monument, 12 miles north of Colorado Springs.

This is why the Feds waited so long to tell us what started the Waldo Canyon fire in Colorado. The public still have not been told what was used to start the fire.

It is becoming quite obvious, to me, that we are at WAR on home ground.  We need to realize this and, all of us, begin to Watch, Respond and Defend.

Cuzzin Rick

Okay, in my mind I'm thinking how we respond and defend if we .. what?  Catch a swarthy fellow lighting tinder in the forest?  Say we dowhat's the preferred response—in this pussified society we live in?

I haven't watched the entire video yet, but I don't expect answers.  Wait.  I know.  We can pretend it's January, 1942, and look at it from that perspective.  Are there certain bodies of people who present a serious danger?  Are our borders secure? Extrapolate.  In situations like this, I tend to fall back on
Mr. Goodwrench's admonition:  "Pay me now, or pay me a whole lot more later."

RECYCLED TANKS

I admire their ingenuity, but at the same time imagine we'd do the same thing,  given the opportunity.  Except.  Except the EPA (still a greater threat to the USA than them Congs ever were) would declare them hazardous material and order them  ground up and stored in sealed barrels in  some salt mine. And make the manufacturer pay for it. Am I right?

Camp David Victory?

I am DEFINITELY not an Obama fan but I must say this is very impressive.  Give it a look and a listen.

The attached Obama short speech was delivered spontaneously and without the aid of his ubiquitous teleprompter, apparently while vacationing at Camp David.

Listen carefully to his words.
Give credit where credit is due, he actually makes more sense than anything he has said as President and prior to that while on the campaign trail, and it clearly defines his real international concerns and plans for the Middle East, Russia, China and the EU.
P.S. He also looks much better without the TV makeup!

Now this makes perfect sense doesn’t it? Obama’s NSA snooping exempts one part of America from their spying. Muslim mosques. You couldn’t make this crap up if you tried. Mosques being off limits by the NSA isn’t something that was started in the Bush administration either. Exempting Mosques from the NSA began in October 2011 and they are off-limits to FBI agents. Kind of defeats the purpose of ‘protecting America’ by snooping when 95% of terrorism in this country is from Muslims.

Since October 2011, mosques have been off-limits to FBI agents. No more surveillance or undercover sting operations without high-level approval from a special oversight body at the Justice Department dubbed the Sensitive Operations Review Committee.

Remember back in the 70's when one of those Maha-rooshie sects began to settle some city in WA, or ID (or thereabouts)?   So many of them located that they had a majority and soon controlled the city government.  All legal, right?  But the displaced townies were beside themselves; outcasts in their own city.  Sixty-Minutes did a segment on it.  Anyway, that's what I thought of when I saw this map,  Consider

Black on White Crime

                                                          Provoking Racial Unrest

White Girl Bleed a Lot

America is the midst of an epidemic of racial mob violence and the media refuses to report it.

In my book, “White Girl Bleed a Lot,” I documented hundreds of examples of black mob violence in more than 70 cities big and small throughout the country.

Many of the episodes are on YouTube. I also documented how the media and public officials ignore, condone, excuse and even lie about this wave of lawlessness.

[...]

So here are (currently 395) links to racial mob violence throughout the country

(sample)
  1. Chapter 36 and 37: Other attacks from around the country
  2. “What’s going on at the Country Club Plaza?”
  3. “Three shot on Country Club Plaza, Mayor James 50 yards away”
  4. “Police Say Fight In Rehoboth Beach Was Gang Related”
  5. “32 gangbangers arrested in hate crime roundup for targeting Whites and Latinos”
  6. “Motive Unclear In Attack By Group Of Teens On 16th Street Mall”
  7. “Police Seek Robbers In Baseball Bat Beatings”
  8. “Denver police grieve shooting death of officer at park jazz concert”
  9. “‘Borderline riot’ at Alabama Adventure theme park sends police in, park guests out”
  10. “Police Shut Down Wave Country Due To Unruly Crowd”
  11. “Fights in downtown Greensboro renew talk of curfew”
  12. “Downtown Greensboro ‘Flash Mob’ Beating Investigated By Police”
  13. “Police: No ‘flash mob attacks’ in Greensboro”
  14. “Reporters Attacked By Mob Of Blacks At IHOP”
  15. “$5,000 reward offered for arrest, conviction of park killer”
  16. “Vallejo city worker brutally attacked by mob”
  17. Family thinks teenager did not attack Vallejo worker
  18. Media censored seven hate crime mob attacks in Grand Rapids

,Editor’s note: Some of these links will have images and language that is objectionable:

This is not unplanned.  There is enough actual, and anecdotal proof out there to show that Obama and his Eric Holder have used their offices to foment black on white crime, and then excusing it— even to the point of quashing indictments—to a point where one can only conclude that it's policy.  I call it Helter Skelter, .after Charles Manson's plan to divide by causing race riots, and then ascend to power.  He was no less nuts than these two, and just as evil.  So far though, he's the only one to be tried.

Rand Paul Scores

Res Ipsa Loquitor

Arguing federal workers should not get special treatment, Rand Paul says he does not want taxpayers subsidizing the personal health care plans of any federal employee — including Chief Justice John Roberts — anymore.

With some in Congress arguing lawmakers and their staff should not get subsidies to cover their health insurance as President Obama’s health care law goes into effect, the Republican senator from Kentucky told The Daily Caller on Sunday that he’s going to start pushing a constitutional amendment that goes even further.

Paul’s proposal — outlawing any special exemptions for government employees — would mean all federal workers would have to purchase health insurance on the new Obamacare exchanges instead of getting taxpayer-funded subsidies. Some critics say those subsidies amount to special treatment. The Obamacare health insurance exchange opens Oct 1. [Full]
