Why refrigerate butter? I must eat too much of it.
If that's possible

Good idea. My mom had one for corn on the cob: Take a big plastic cup (like the ones from McDonalds or Hardee's. Just one taller than the ear of corn). Fill it 3/4 of the way with water and then pour melted butter on top. Dip the ear of corn in the cup and as you lift it out, it will leae a perfect "film" of butter on the ear. Add some old bay for some good spiciness. Great for picnics. Better yet, skip the corn and stick with crabs....

Heya Poopshits,
I'll stay away from the monikor debate, got no dog in that hunt.
The butter on corn idea? That's greatI'm gonna try that tomorrow.
Don't know about the Old Bay tho, I'm old school: corn, butter, salt. - 8/25/06, 2:54 PM

Well,
If my REAL moniker was up there, the Old Bay and Crabs would make more sense. I just thought maybe I pissed Roger off and he changed my handle....

I pop my stick of butter in the mircowave for 20-30 seconds on 2. I usually stand it on end for even warming. Get it right and it's still cool but spreadable.

This is a small problem and simple before you even put your tost in the toster you slice off two thin pats of butter or however many you need when you first go into the ketchen. Then lay it on the warm toast about 30 seconds spreads fine. no problem.
