B-52 News

B-52 News

Major Ensign Mary from Michigan gets some practice time in.  Mary is a B-52 student pilot with the 3rd Amazon Barn Brigade.  When not attending drills, Mary is a professional shopper. Job well done Major-Ensign.
I want to thank Barn Ambassador Jake for lending us his personal jet trainer over the weekend, so we could get some much needed flying time in while the B-52 is being painted.  Amb. Jake is an exporter-importer, architect, and marine biologist who will be named Governor of Quebec after we seize it.

I know that cockpit well. Can we still call it that with women pilots? Maybe it is a box office now. Anyway, I spent my 20 years flying in them.

Whatever that girl is flying, it isn't a B-52. I spent years with B-52Ds, Gs, and Hs. (They still fly over my house daily.) Note that there are only 4 throttles and 4 sets of engine instruments. Probably one of those new fangled C-17s.

Believe it or not, 17's have a stick, not a yoke.

that particular cockpit is on the Navy P-3C Orion ASW aircraft. I've got about 3600 hours as a tube rat working the electronics in the back. But I never had a pilot that looked like that.

I had closer to 7000 hrs in all models when they MADE me retire.
