election depression

Beans for Me
Since the election this site has lost 800 viewers/day.  I really don't care since donations are the same (lol).  I can only ascribe it to severe news depression on their part.  My Joe Namath-like prediction may have packed the house, but unlike Joe I didn't follow through, and so I let them down.  Joe's in the Hall of Fame, and I eat beans. (Did you know that in his entire career, Namath only beat about 10 teams with a winning record? ) . For what it's worth, I feel the same way much of the time, but I'm confident we'll regroup. So let's have fun with these nincompoops while we can.

Oh bullshit.  I don't even believe that.  I want to fight with knives.

I think it more likely that your traffic has dropped because folks don't know which site to go to. Make a decision, already!

I still check here every day, and often, so I can't be attributed to it :-p.

Actually though, I was getting kind of surprised at how many new people were commenting here. When I came along there were maybe two who always posted, then the odd 3 who posted whenever something really caught their eye...then suddenly people I've never seen before were starting indepth conversation :-\. Professor Rodger is all growed up.

Wow- 800 a day? That surprises me- it seems like there are more and more commenters that I don't recognize so I would have guessed your traffic was up.

On the bright side- I think the trolls have dropped- must be the new can of TrollBGone you got. I haven't had to threaten to fulfill my duties as Samurai AG in quite a while.

I visit as often as before- just haven't felt much like commenting lately. Still mourning the VA Senate race I guess.

Joe Willie Namath is only one of the two good things to have ever come out of Alabama. The other good thing to come out of Alabama is the road to Georgia.

Oh, I am sorry. I have teken the last few days off of work.

You see I am the office gossip and I go from cubicle to cubicle all day and, as part of my gossip, I usually get them to look at your site.

And so the 800 fewer hits is probably me...

Don't bring a knife to a gun fight.

Joe Willie (from Pennsylvania) signed to play with Maryland. After taking the SAT 3 times, he still didn't qualify for admission and MD's coach, Tom Nugent, didn't want him to end up on a team he would have to play, so he called Bear Bryant ... and that's how it happened. True story.

Part of it might be because of the Christmas season people out shopping after all there was an 18% increase in sales in this terrible economy the media has been telling us about ever since Bush was elected. After the Dems take over in about 60 days they will start yelling how they have fixed the economy.

Dems will make sure that plenty of generic beans will be available.
