Rodge, why are you so insistent that the Seattle-Olympia corridor be carpet nuked?

So our *goose* is about to be cooked?
I'm thinking...a mass, public gallows is in order. Let the mournful Libs volunteer for the "green" of it, and save the rest of us time and money. Put that in their carbon accounts.
Doin some administrivia yesterday. Generally keep the TV on FNC as a sorta ambient white noise . . . never know when you'll hear somethin interesting. Well, sho' 'nuff, I heard that an atheist group is now protesting the placement of crosses along state and federal roads in memory of state police officers who died in the line of duty.
Don't wanna go dig out a URL for y'all, 'cause I'd prob'ly just get all upset readin the damned thing. Anyway, kept on doin what I was doin, and it struck me that all these PC groups ever seem to do is dismantle the rituals and traditions and customs that seem to have worked rather well for multi anni, the solder and twine that have held a nation together for 200 years, the artesian springs of hope and piety and decent human behavior that give people something in common to celebrate and enjoy.
Made me wonder . . . have any of them anything constructive, anything better, anything useful to offer in place of the time-honored social threads that make up the fabric of what used to be a pretty damned good country? Or do they merely want their 15 minutes' worth of notoriety, preferring negative strokes to no strokes at all? What's their alternative to gospel, glory, and good times . . . gloom, grief, and guilt? My grandfather would listen to the radio and say about the doomsayers and rabble-rousers, “Pay him no mind, boy, he’s just too lazy and stupid to realize that it’s easier to tear down than to build up.” And then my grandmother would tell us, “If all you have to say about something is the bad in it, you’ll be better off saying nothing at all.”
Maybe the people on that board never had grandparents. Or if they did, they never shut up long enough to listen to what their elders had to say.
ET,
You're right about the grand parents as well as all the rest. That little news deallio on FNC had me scratching at the wall paper myself.
No, they never learned and I think, when I see them out and about, they just need to be slugged a good one, right in the chops,or drawn and quartered as a last resort.
Whichever. I'm easy.
Stepperg
Juice,
Long ago we came up with 'electric bleachers' powered by nature. A huge aluminum bleacher with the bastards handcuffed to them. A constant sprinkler keeping them soaked. A giant lightning rod and a typical Florida afternoon........

I don't know why, but I am concerned about Rodgers targeting. Perhaps running north of Tacoma and south of Ft Lewis would be a much better idea.
Selfish of me. Yep. But if you just stick to the lib dipshits in Olympia and Seattle, I got me one of those little lazer thingy's and maybe you would let me help.
Chuck in Tacoma
