My wife closed the window!! 3 hours of work, ARRGGHH!!!
Rodger:
I've watched 3 seasons of "The WIRE" over the past month. What a great show!
My question for you: Is Baltimore really like that?
I called it quits after I got the outline done, the 2 people at the bottom on most of the girl on the right. Then I started piling up the featureless dark gray, featureless light gray, and featureless light pink pieces to give myself some room to work and realized that 90% of the puzzle I had left was 3 featureless colors.
Mine will end up being about a week (though the computator will be put to sleep many times in that period.
You bastard! (he says with great affection)
I've never seen, nor heard of "The WIRE," but your question reminds me of this.
A friend and I used to frequent the pubs and clam bars in Baltimore's Fells Point neighborhood where Barry Levison's "Homicide: Life on the Street" was filmed. This day we were sitting in his car, a big Lincoln, when the director came over and asked if he could use the car in a scene, which Fred readily agreed to. Afterwards the director, taking note of Fred's physical appearance - 6'5 with a Daddy Warbucks shaved head, asked if he'd like a role in the episode. Natch says Fred.
Fred's part was portraying a patron in a gay bar where he would be drinking beer and saying "these pretzels are making me thirsty." Okay, I made that part up. No, he would be watching and ogling a gay stripper. Fred was scheduled for the next day, but by then he'd nixed the idea. He didn't want his granddaughter to see him getting slopped in a gay bar. There went his big break. Me? I'd have gone for it. Hi-Ho
