  • President Obama: Nancy Pelosi has been an 'outstanding partner'

President Barack Obama indicated Friday he didn’t believe Democrats needed new leaders in Congress, even after his party took what he has called a “shellacking” in the midterm elections. Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who wants to remain the top Democratic House leader even as some moderate Democrats urge her to step aside in the wake of the new Republican majority, “has been an outstanding partner for me,” Obama said at a news conference in Seoul.

Cornyn: Results Prove Electability Matters

National Republican Senatorial Committee Chairman John Cornyn (Texas) said Friday that his aim is to avoid GOP infighting in 2012 Senate primaries, but he held firm that he would continue to recruit conservative candidates he believes are the most “electable.” Full Story

Do Texans have to wait
4 years before they
can vote John Cornyn Out?

Sadly, yes.

Thought bubble from Friday, August 27, 2010

That thought referenced Cornyn sending NRSC lawyers to Alaska to help Murkowski after she lost the Republican primary.  Now he's got the f__king gall to - and don't think this is not what he's doing - to allude to Joe Millers possible defeat at Murkowski's hand after she decided to run a write-in campaign !&%  that was aided and abetted by the Cornyns Regulars. It is my sincere hope that every member of congress, Republicans and Democrats, are challenged by a Teaparty candidate in 2012. Most will not survive, and we'll be better off for it. "most electable" indeed.

The man in the bedroom closet

A likely Story

A likely story

A Jewish woman says to her mother, "I'm divorcing Jeff! All he wants is sex, sex and more sex; my vagina is now the size of a 50 cent piece when it used to be about the size of a 5 cent piece."

Her mother says, "You're married to a multi-millionaire businessman, you live in an 8 bedroom mansion, you drive a Ferrari, you get $2,000 a week allowance, you take 6 vacations a year, and you want to throw all that away, over 45 cents ?!?!?"

The Problem
'(The) First Amendment is important,' Superintendent Edward Parraz said. 'We want the kids to respect it, understand it, and with that comes a responsiblity.'

'Our Hispanic, you know, kids will, you know, bring their Mexican flags and they'll display it, and then of course the kids would do the American flag situation, and it does cause kind of a racial tension which we don't really want,' Parraz said. 'We want them to appreciate the cultures."

The Solution

The solution is simple, if messy, and everybody out there knows it.

A fox named Obama

Ma - Where's the shotgun?

From the people who just put your health records on line; worried about privacy?  Sniff  around Lassie, what do you smell?
The Obama administration is preparing a stepped-up approach to policing Internet privacy that calls for new laws and the creation of a new position to oversee the effort, according to people familiar with the situation.  The White House task force, set up three weeks ago, is led by Cameron Kerry, the brother of Sen. John Kerry (D., Mass.)
Did you know that Mr. Medals had a brother?  Is he some Ruprecht-likeRuprecht Kerry  personality that emerges from Kerry when a good scam is on? Like Kerry the war hero?
The initiatives would mark a turning point in Internet policy. Recent administrations typically steered away from Internet regulations out of concern for stifling innovation.
Recent administrations not named Obama.  Of course this is a huge problem, but one that the private sector ought be allowed to deal with, especially since it's government that's behind the most egregious intrusions into our privacy.  If this was a movie, it would be at this point where John Wayne spits and says "That'll be the day."  Shooting begins shortly after.

Steeles Race Card

Reason #2 why Steele must go ..

...  last week, in a radio interview with Rev. Al Sharpton, Steele ratcheted up the rhetoric, appearing to agree with Sharpton that if he is not reelected as RNC chairman, it will be because the GOP is racist, making “the
brother take the fall.”

Steele Playing to Racists

Sharpton said he couldn’t believe Republicans would even think of ditching Steele as RNC chair.

“You’d be the first brother run out after doing a good job. It would be interesting to see them have a historic win, and the brother takes the fall. Usually the brother takes the fall when they lose,” Sharpton said [...]

Reason #1:  Being no more incompetent than your incompetent predecessor is no  achievement., which leaves Steele with none.  Success props for the recent election gains go to Obama, Reid, and Pelosi for making people hate and fear Democrats, and to the Teaparty movement which produced the energy and provided the money that financed it. Doo-Dah.
