I landed the account because the CEO of Continental's wife liked me. She was in fact the model for this art, BUT the artist used my photo of her too literally and the CEO went nuts and demanded I be fired and I was. Didn't care, his wife (Emily) was being a PITA; late night phone calls, crying, blah-blah blah. I reenlisted in the Air Force and flew 74 missions over Korea, flying the F-80 and then the F-86. Only got four kills, so missed ACE. But I don't like to talk about it. There is a television show now where one of the characters is based on me, I hear, but I've never seen it.

Hope you are ok tonight - we are not looking forward to the windbag but, I think this will be a minimal storm when it gets here - kinda like Floyd was.

So far we've had a series of staccato outages - a flicker that causes everything to reboot, and then another flicker .... They (Doug Hill Weather) are predicting sun tomorrow. Fingers crossed.

Power just came back on down here in SMIBVILLE , it went out about 2300 last night . No major damage just limbs down . I didn't even get to fire up the generator . I hope every body else in the Barn Army is well . Now I'm gonna cook me up some of that good old "rind on " bacon that I got from the Amish ; ) > SMIBSID

here in Rogues Island our power was out about 90 minutes and we have lost some trees. Power went out at the CBS outlet here and they are on generator now. As I expected, this was overblown just like all the media do nowadays. This will work against them very badly.
When viewers realize the media lie with impunity their dominance of information dissemination will end. It is about fu#(ing time!!!!

The thing is the "bad" version probably wouldn't raise an eyebrow these days.
I had a distant relative, my father's cousin who flew F-86's in the Korean War, he went career and died in a F-102 two seater versuib as in instructor. It was night landing practice bad visibility practice and they think that what happened was the trainee panicked just above the runway and punched out, the 102's were not forgiving at landing speeds and the high angles of attack, Both he and the trainee died. -
