Someone in my circle likes Romney... most of the time. In truth, she loves Cain, but likes and has liked the Romney model.
She has insight. First, she actually attended law school with Obama. Says he was brittle and narcicistic even then. Second, she knew Ann Romney personally for a while and Mitt by extension.
Me, I don't like him, but not much I say affects her opinion.
Well spank her then.
Also - has she expressed any thought about the politics behind Obama being law review editor?
Someone needs to ask Willard, his real name, what it will be like to win a party's nomination with 75% disapproval of self-identified Republicans.
Casca
P.S. It's wrong to call him Mitt. Call him Willard.
The GOP establishment keeps parroting the line that Romney is inevitable and we should shut up and get on board to beat Obama. My problem with that (beside not liking being told what to do) is not one vote has been cast. If you watch the polling data you notice while the other candidates for the nomination have support bouncing after each event, Romney's numbers don't change hardly at all. That tells me his support has a ceiling and it is pretty firm. All the others are trading the 70% who are anti-Romney. .
Rodge,
As far as spanking her goes... Well, let's just assume I like my hands in their current non broken condition.
I posed your question to her and the response was, "HLS law review does not pull from just the top in the class -- 50% of the folk came from the top 10% of the class, 50% from the bottom 90%, all based on a writing competition. So he could have had poor grades and wrote well, I just don't know."
She did say he was popular within his own little click.
If Romney becomes the Republican candidate, and wins next November, there will not be another Republican president in the next 50 years. People will not trust them again.
All I heard between Romney and others last night was, "Did not!" "Did too!" "Did not!" "Did too!" "Did not!" "Did too!" "Did not!" "Did too..." Plus the entire Media campaigning for Romney seems too much like deja vue from 2008. Add to that the fact that, in spite of watching almost all of the debates, I still have no clue where Romney stands on the issues, I'm eager to get to the polls to vote for Cain or someone else. Almost anyone else.
Recently the GOP sent me not one, but two separate and different, registered to myself, surveys. I read them over and my overall impression is that they think that we are really stupid.
