Why Obama will win - WTF?

Three Simple Reasons Why Obama Will Win Re-Election

Continuing my tradition of December election predictions (2007), let me note that I am not listening to any news about the 2012 Presidential election. I believe that Barack Obama will win the general election by a slim margin, e.g., 51/49 percent of the popular vote. Here are my reasons:
  •     people are afraid of change and will favor an incumbent if one is available
  •     Obama ended the Iraq war
  •     Americans know in their hearts that Obama is not responsible for the stagnant economy [Philip Greenspun cunt]

I stand with a vast minority of people who see our system so corrupted as to be unsalvageable without truly revolutionary action.  There is no prospect for that happening this year.  I think that a nation of people who would elect a zero like Obama in the first instance are capable of any execrableness.  That said -
  •     Obama ended the Iraq war
The Iraq war had ended and was won.   Did Truman end WWII  in 1952?  That's when the occupation forcesin Japan were withdrawn.  What Obama did  is better described as bail.  He  left  the patient in the recovery room with open wounds.  It took just 24 hours before infection began to set in.  Prognosis- "Arab Spring"  The forthcoming bloodshed in Iraq is on him.
  • Americans know in their hearts that Obama is not responsible for the stagnant economy

As hard as it is to believe, I know people who feel that way.  But I call bullshit on the idea that they're  a majority.  Why isn't Barney Frank running for reelection?  He said it's because he was gerrymandered out of his safe district. In Massachusetts?  Bullshit.  Even Boston reporters were asking him whether he felt responsibility for crashing the economy.  People know. This is a Democrat  depression.

Mitt Romney will be the nominee.  He will be subjected to the full Sarah Palin treatment.  Every degree of  of anti-Mormon hate, hysteria and falsehood are in the media script.   I think he'll still win, but what will we have won?  Richard Nixon?  Or President Bush (pick-em) at best?  Belay that.  We will have ended the Obama reign of terror, so there's that.

We will have put a new face on the Obama reign of terror, so there's that.

And Teh Newt is unsheathing his claws, now. So there's that, too.

It's hard to feel optimistic.

I mean, enough people voted for this obvious nobody the first time.

How many people honestly believe that the solutions to the problems in the US involve printing more money, more handouts and more government control? Too many, I'm afraid.

Now look at the republicans, they want to run more of the "same old, same old" candidates who will act like the democRats but at a slightly slower pace.

Ilegal immigration will continue unchecked, but that's ok because they will reliable vote (vote!!) for more public handouts.

Government will continue passing more useless laws and the government regulators will continue passing more regulations at an ever increasing pace. But hey! We were born free, right?

Meanwhile, the criminal education system will continue to enstupidate the general US population. Fewer and fewer graduates will be able to read, but that's ok because soon, employers won't be able to discriminate against the terminally uneducateable, not that you'll be able to tell them apart from most "college graduates" by that point. (Yes, I know this is not a law now, but just wait. How many things in the last 20 years that have come to pass would have been scoffed at before then? Too many, I'm afraid)

If despair is a sin, I'm going straight to hell.

I fear that promises of "free" stuff to lots of people may well again carry the day. It worked in Germany in 1933, and it worked in 2008.

Jim - I can think of but a single voting block so ignorant as to fall for the "Free Stuff" gimmick a second time. Ain't enough votes out there to legally reelect the ckskr.

I hate to disagree with those of you who have more political sense than I, but I, at least for now, believe that if Romney is the nominee, that will all but guarantee that The Komrade President REMF will be reelected. They are too much alike, except that Romney doesn't lie every time he opens his mouth like Komrade REMF does. Otherwise, their policies and political makeup are almost identical. Obamacare vs Romneycare to cite just one instance.

And, it goes without saying, if Komrade REMF is reelected, we as a country are doomed.

Another thing. If Shyster General Holder is impeached out of his cushy job, look for Komrade REMF to give him a Presidential pardon right after the election next fall.

If only the Sarahcuda hadn't quit as Governor...

So, that leaves us with Mitt for Brains, Gov. Guardasil, (S)he's a Newt!, Ron 'I likes me sum Iran' Paul, Michelle 'Sarah Hate Me' Bachman or - dare I say it? - Rick Santorum.

For me, at least, there's NFWIH I'm lending any support for the 'John Kerry of the GOP' (yes, that's Mitt for Brains). Anyone whom Ted Kennedy agreed with will ever get my support.

Newt would absolutely destroy TehOne in a debate, but there's no way I want him running the country.

Mittens = Obama.

Paul? LOVE his domestic policy (most Friedman-esque of the bunch). HATE his foreign (although I'm with pulling troops back home). Overall, he's just this side of a loon.

Perry for me is a non-starter just 'cause he was once on the side of the Goreacle.

Bachman. No support from Sarah 'bout sums it up.

That leaves Santorum. He's been (arguably) the most consistent one out there and only now gaining 'traction'

Santorum is fine with me, and Gingrich will do if necessary. If Rommel is the candidate, he may well beat Obama. I would vote for him, in the same way I voted for McCain.

If Romney becomes president ... if he runs the country the way I think he will ... There will not be another Republican president for 50 years.

Americans are so angry at communist Democrats and liberal Republicans that there would be a massive revolt against the Republicans, and the formation of a third party. That may be for the best.

Scottiebill: If a Saigon Embassy scene happens in Iraq before the election, Obama will not win regardless of who runs against him.

Holder might get pardoned, but he can still be extradited to Mexico.

When the Democrats took over Congress in January 2007, unemployment was 4.4 percent. It is now 9.1 percent. The budget deficit created by the outgoing Republican Congress was only $161 billion. It is now $1.7 trillion. The total outstanding debt in January 2007 was $8.7 trillion. It is now $14.6 trillion. Before the Democrats took control of everything, America's credit rating was AAA. It is now AA+.
After almost five years of democrat budgets the deficit is 1.7 trillion a year and real unemployment (U6) is at 17%.
The ‘Community Re-Investment Act’ was used by democrats to pressure banks to give home loans to unqualified borrowers. This created so much uncollectable debt that Freddie and Fannie were created to try to cushion the bad debt load on the economy. Although repeatedly warned of impending collapse by McCain, Bush, and many others, Frank and Dodd simply refused to even look into the bad practices that eventually caused our current recession.

The one thing that people forget is that it is Congress that PROPOSES changes to current law, and new legislation. NOT THE PRESIDENT. He proposes a budget, which is then ignored {voted down 97-0 last time} by Congress.
ELECT GOOD CONGRESS PEOPLE!!!
Any Rino would be a fool to veto good legislation.
We don't NEED the president to be conservative as long as Congress is held to task.
Get into the nomination process and stand behind good candidates if the incumbent is wobbly.
I'm just sayin'
