And the good news is, if your hard drive crashes, just contact the NSA for a copy of all your files.

I've used chrome for quite a while. Firefox started being too monstrous to run on my computer.

A few years ago I was running Firefox. I had a problem, and went to the knowledge blog, where instructions were posted. I used those instructions, maybe did it incorrectly, and my Favorites got deleted. I don't know why it happened, but that's the last I used Firefox. Most other people I know use Chrome, which is on my machine but I'm not using it. Anything I should know first?

I switched over to Chrome from Firefox when I learned that all the pointy headed geeks at my company had switched over as Firefox had become too bloated and slow for most of them. Only trick was to get all the passwords & crap in there.
It also occasionally won't remember passwords or logins in weird places - like my public library site. Also remember it an adjustment to figure out where to add bookmarks and set homepage. Once I got the hang of that was smooth sailing. - 7/11/13, 4:51 PM

It's developed and owned by Google?
If I were younger and smarter I'd use that Linux system touted by all the really bright paranoids but, what the hell I'll stick with what I know. - 7/12/13, 6:20 AM

It's probably too late, but I just saw this Firefox slowness fix on lifehacker where disabling hardware acceleration speeds things up...
Yeah - I know - thanks for nothing! - 7/12/13, 9:08 AM
