I am not a religious guy but I understood the intent of our Founding Fathers
after reading the 1st Amendment in third grade. All it says on the subject is
that "Congress shall make no law...." At the time of our founding, many states
had official religions, which brings the 9th and 10th amendment into the debate.
The 9th and 10th Amendments limit the powers of the federal government only
to those specifically enumerated in the Bill Of Rights and denies them any
other powers. Then comes the BFH (A mechanical term for Big F*&^%@G Hammer:)
All powers not enumerated in the Constitution are left to the states or
the people respectively. I find that my agnosticism is like a nuclear weapon
in debates with liberals.
If a state wants to establish socialized medicine, gay marriage, abortion laws,
whatever, they are free to do as they wish. When I argue with a liberal, they
cannot pin me down. When they call me a bible thumping Neandertal, I just
smile and tell them to guess again. Any debate involving abortion can be shut
down in a heartbeat the minute you argue statistics, and especially the
history of the Democrat party's love of Eugenicists like Margaret Sanger and
Adolph Hitler.

You want sharia law? 'Cause this is how you get sharia law.
People are all for the commingling of government and religion, or prayer in schools, until they find out it's someone else's religion or prayer.
I have no doubt the moslems are hanging back, waiting for the Christians to do the heavy lifting on this, then they're going to demand a seat at the table. Next year, they'll want the seat at the head of the table, and the year after that everyone else is going to be out in the hall, knocking on the door and asking if they can come in.

John McCain: "I don't want Trump in my funeral!"
Trump: "Well, I'll just celebrate from home then!"

These people never give up?
Of course not, who would want them to?
Neither do we and I still enjoy our side crushing them whenever we can. - 5/18/18, 12:35 AM
