Of course, Buckhorn is a leftist scumsucker; when he heard that a local strip club was featuring a Sarah Palin look-alike who would strip and sell her body, Buckhorn sneered, “I wonder whether the look-alike will be able to see Russia from the stage.” Because of the left’s use of the tactics outlined in Rights and Wrongs at the RNC, cities that dare to host economic summits or try to restrict illegal Occupy encampments find themselves and their police virtually held hostage. Untold?  As soon as I saw this Daily Caller article I raced to the attic to find this, from July 24, 2003.  The list was assembled from blogger responses to my  request to name The 20 Worst Figures In American History.  I noted at the time ... “ Two of my favorites, ACLU founder Roger Baldwin, and George McGovern failed to make the list. ”   Baldwin was known to me,  and anyone else who cared to know, as a communist.  I dare say that any of you who've been around for awhile also knew he was a ratbastardcommieMFCS, and so too the ACLU's earliest members.  Today, thanks in large part to the ACLU - and  George McGovern, whose radial makeover of  the Democrat Party's internal structure led to the overthrow of our Republic (yes, overthrow), we are in crisis.  A “them or us” crisis.

Gelbaum also announced he was halting some $12 million in yearly gifts to the Sierra Club Foundation and about $50 million a year that he's been giving to an organization serving veterans who served in Iraq and Afghanistan. Gelbaum has given a total of $389 million to the groups from 2005 to 2009. A Non Sequitur Commenting on the  Never, Ever, Talk to the Police video, Anonymous suggested BUSTED: The Citizen's Guide to Surviving Police Encounters, as an adjunct.   I watched it early this morning, and found it unsettling.  It's narrated by Ira Glasser, erstwhile Executive Director of the ACLU.  Okay, I despise the ACLU, considering it one of the top ten worst things ever to happen to the United States, but they do know how to get criminals out of jail.  Whereas the focus of the "Never-Ever" video was the Fifth Amendment protecting the innocent, much of this video works off scenarios where lawbreakers are the good people, and the law, bad.  Both videos are instructional, but the latter made me feel dirty.  I would never recommend it to a teenager, because of the  imprimatur it seems to convey about drug use.Your mileage may differ.  Did I say I hate the ACLU?

Excerpt from The Seattle Times “ The American Civil Liberties Union, which for years has scorned Pentagon military commissions as "kangaroo courts," announced Friday it will try to provide top civilian defense attorneys for alleged terrorists facing trial at Guantánamo Bay, Cuba -- with special emphasis on Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the alleged mastermind of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. Former Attorney General Janet Reno is among top lawyers who have endorsed the $8.5 million effort, which will help coordinate and defray the attorneys' expenses. ACLU Executive Director Anthony Romero said a major thrust will be to defend Mohammed, who military officials say has confessed to masterminding the Sept. 11 attacks and other terrorist acts, including the beheading in Pakistan of Wall Street Journal correspondent Daniel Pearl. The ACLU chose to focus on his defense, Romero said, because he appears to be "the government's top priority in the prosecution. ” I guess now that the ACLU's tiresless defense of the Haditha Marines, being tried on charges manufactured by America hating Democrats John Murtha, Nancy Pelosi resulted in the case collapsing, the ACLU  ... what?  They didn't.  Well screw them then.

On Sunday I gave you the choice of destroying al-Qaeda, or the ACLU, depending on which organization you felt was the greatest threat.  The weasel choice was "Aren't they the same people?"  Since 99% of the visitors to this site are real Americans, I anticipated a certain result, but not to this degree.  Of 129 folks who made a hard choice, 70% saw the ACLU as the greater evil.  I concur.  We can survive al-Qaeda, but not those bastards.

(AP) - A former president of the Virginia chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union pleaded guilty today to federal child pornography charges. 51-year-old Charles Rust-Tierney entered his plea to one count of receipt of child pornography in US District Court in Alexandria. He had been indicted last month on one count each of receipt and possession of child pornography.  [News] ” In 1982, the ACLU, in an amicus role, lost in a unanimous decision in the Supreme Court to legalize the sale and distribution of child pornography. [New York v. Ferber, 458 U.S. 747.]  The ACLU is currently defending NAMBLA (North America Man Boy Love Association in a Massachusetts case, and has defended the group in other cases. BUT ..they don't love all boys. “ Since 1915, the Boy Scouts have managed land within San Diego's Balboa Park. It has built a swimming pool, a 600-seat amphitheater, and a camping facility that accommodates 300. Camp Balboa serves some 12,000 Boy Scouts annually through daylong events and weekend sleepovers. The Scouts' tie to this land is a 50-year lease offered by the San Diego City Council and signed in 1957. In exchange for their stewardship — including private investment for maintenance and development — the Scouts hand the city an annual lease payment of $1.00. This arrangement is too much for the ACLU to swallow. It sued the City of San Diego to expel the Boy Scouts from Balboa Park. The ACLU contends that the Scouts are a religious organization and thus should be dislodged from the facility. Clinton-appointed U.S. District Judge Napoleon Jones deemed the Boy Scouts a religious organization last July and declared that their involvement with Balboa Park violated the separation of church and state. The ACLU used this ruling to secure a settlement wherein the City of San Diego cancelled the Scouts' lease on the park, even though it did not expire until 2007 and, in fact, was extended in 2001 for 25 years. The ACLU also scored $950,000 in attorneys fees and court costs, thus fleecing taxpayers and deepening its pockets.
