An ignorant man name Brown says stupid stuff

and other goofy bastards

California Gov. Jerry Brown said in an interview with NBC's "Meet the Press" that Republican Texas Senator Ted Cruz's position on climate change makes him "absolutely unfit to be running for office."

Responding to comments made by Cruz on "Late Night with Seth Meyers," Democratic Governor Brown said of Cruz, "That man betokens such a level of ignorance and a direct falsification of the existing scientific data. It's shocking and I think that man has rendered himself absolutely unfit to be running for office."

Unhappily, as a result of the mediocre quality of science education, many people do not know how to evaluate either a scientific hypothesis in general, or AGW in particular -- and irrespective of whatever anyone might think, because of how it is framed and evaluated, AGW is no more than a hypothesis.
Let's be clear here, for the umpteenth time.   Gov Moon Beam is talking about AGW (Anthropogenic Global Warming).  That is, he claims man causes global warming by using hair spray, fossil fuels, and blowing farts (I am not making that up), and that is scientific fact.

Bullshit.  His is science without Scientific Method.  It's pop science, and not true.  It is bunch of old communists trying to use the issue to gain absolute control of any economy.  This left-wing
movement is populated by some very dangerous ass-holes too (Google "kill climate change deniers");  so Jerry Brown is, at best, a smug but ignorant Liberal twat playing with fire.  At worst, he makes false and incendiary statements for political gain and ought be arrested.  That's also true of anyone you know who pushes AGW. Tell them.  Call them now, and tell them. Unless it's someone you're trying to seduce, then wait until that thrill is gone.

Eight Dirty Words

California tells online retailers to start collecting sales taxes from customers

The U.S. Supreme Court in 1992 ruled that states cannot tax businesses that aren't physically within their boundaries. Such taxes would regulate interstate commerce, which is a federal government prerogative.

We don't recognize laws passed by Republican judges”

No tickee, no laundry

No tickee, no laundry
All's well that ends well
“ [California] law requires legislators to enact the budget and send it to the governor by June 15 every year or be docked $400 a day until they get it right. ”

-

So when the democrat dominated legislature submitted a cobbled together piece of crap that looked like it was written that morning on the school bus,   Gov. Jerry Brown vetoed it.  Not to worry, the state controller John Chiang is a Democrat; he'd never dock their pay.  Wrong.  Chaing's math showed a budget that minimally spent $1.85 billion more than it would collect. Not even close.  "No tickee, no laundry" said detective Chaing,  Democrats were surprised; then outraged.

“” “John Chiang just wants to sit there and beat up on kids,” cried Assemblyman Mike Gatto of Los Angeles. “I now have to explain to my wife and daughter why we won’t be able to pay our bills because a politician chose to grandstand at our expense.”

The leader of the Democratic majority in the Assembly agreed, and promised to employ the great American solution: a lawsuit.

“Chiang is now focused all the attention on himself so he’ll have the next political move to become governor,” he said. “Now it will require a lawsuit to educate him.” He argues the controller violated the separation of powers in violation of the state constitution.

While Democrats ralph, a nation sick of California excess raffs out roud (oh stop it.  Hollywood  made those Charlie Chan movies).  Wes Pruden's tightly knitted narrative offers so much more fun (teacher unions) that you'll want to avail yourself, but his last is too good for me to pass up.

“ One state senator, Lonnie Hancock of Oakland, thinks he has found a novel source of savings. The state of California is spending $184 million a year to house and feed 714 prisoners on death row. California has executed “only” 13 prisoners since the U.S. Supreme Court reinstated the death penalty in 1978.

Old age is the leading cause of death on death row, and Mr. Hancock argues that there’s no point in spending millions to keep people alive while it waits to kill them. This could be the beginning of another California trend.

”

Omg.  The back of my head hurts from all this rafter.

California Burnin'

Calif. set to adopt sweeping
cap-and-trade rules

“ California’s cap-and-trade rules would set up the largest U.S. carbon trading market as the way to enforce the state’s gradually tightening cap on emissions.
”

California Burnin'
California Burnin'

The next logical step for California is building a fence across its border (the border that runs north/south) to keep people from escaping.  I don't expect to get an answer, but I would genuinely like to hear from just one California resident who thinks this is a good idea, and why.  Srsly.

Also, I'm every bit Obama's equal as a constitutional scholar, although maybe not on par with actual constitutional scholars, and here's my thinking.  There is a tension between the principles set forth, as expressed in the Preamble, Bill of Rights, etc, in our founding documents, and what is actually constructed by the three branches of government supposedly governed by them.  Individual state constitutions must be in harmony with the master plan, but in California's case the tension became so great that its government broke.  Snapped in two.  It seems to me, then, that it is every Californian's sacred patriotic duty to physically restore order --  at the point of many, many guns if necessary (and it will be).

As for the rest of the nation, it's imperative that we wean ourselves from any reliance on that state's produce, both food and silicon.  Too unreliable. And for God's sake, don't give that bum any money; it'll just be spent on whatever the hell got her that way.

Arnies Green Legacy ... is

When Failure Congratulates Itself
“

When Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger signed the landmark Global Warming Solutions Act of 2006, there were 30 clean-tech companies in the Sacramento region.

Today, there are more than 100 such companies in the area employing thousands of workers.

Part of Arnie's Stinking Legacy

Too bad the Sacramento Bee didn't specify how many "thousands of workers," so I could multiply it by $50,000,- the ballpark cost for every "green" job created. And multiply again by 2.2  to discover how many jobs were destroyed for every green job manufactured.  But wait, I know what you're thinking -

"Is it fair to single out California when states like Maryland are no better?"

Yes, because of its size and impact on everything that happens in this country, 90% of which has been berry berry bad over the last 30 years, it is.  California stink is overpowering.  State voters, along with rehiring Gov. Brown and Sen. Boxer,  defeated Prop 23, which would have suspended its "Global Warming Act of 2006.  An idea so thoroughly discredited that some Europeans want the death penalty reinstated to punish their own recalcitrant Goreons.

... 8-9-10
Okay, I don't really hope California sinks into the sea so much as I want the United States to declare war on it and send in armies to recapture it.  And lots and lots of firing squads (I'm not perfect)!

The Bilbo Dildo

Meet Republican Brian Bilbo

Had the late Fred Allen gotten a load of him, his blowhard Sen. Beauregard Claghorn  may have had an empty headed side-kick named Rep. Brian Bilbo.  California amazes.  Watch here  as Bilbray sidles up with MSNBC's Ed Schultz, and confuses being born in the United States with the natural born citizen requirement to become president.  He later states in the original, "George Bush became president, didn't he?"
