Put up 'cher dukes!

MSNBC ALL-STARS
and ilk

Do they have TV sets at CNN? An Internet connection? I don't work at a television network, but I saw Trump "disavow" David Duke a half-dozen times before Jake Tapper asked him to disavow Duke again last Sunday.

The question served absolutely no journalistic purpose. No new information was sought. It was just a smear, for the sole purpose of getting the words "KKK" into the same sentence as "Donald Trump."

Unsuspecting viewers who missed Trump's earlier disavowals are supposed to think, Is Trump connected with the Klan? Why else would they be asking him about David Duke?

How many times can you say Liberal Media Complex? How many times can you say "Maw, grab me the shotgun, thar be a fox in the hen house?

Candy

Too Much Candy
WAY

Res Ipsa Loquitor

In a rare example of political unity, both the Romney and Obama campaigns have expressed concern to the Commission on Presidential Debates about how the moderator of the Tuesday town hall has publicly described her role, TIME has learned.
Read more:

For the life of me,  I can't figure out why Romney's people have conceded to the media Fox News apartheid, and once again let the same old skanks run the show?  Tell me, who has the greater respect as a newsman- Britt Hume,  or Candy Crowley? There is a reason Candy's employer CNN have no audience— they have no cred.

Anyway, it's amusing that even Obama is worried because Candy Crowley has announced her intention to run amok, and do what the hell she wants in the next debate.  I know why.  No matter which way she wants to steer the debate, Mitt can answer truthfully, and probably escape the trap.  Obama can only lie.

Finally, what the hell is this daily bouncing about with the poll numbers?  Who are they polling?  Where do you find voters who change their minds 4-5 times a week?

Obama fights efforts to stop voter fraud

Obama campaign working to counter new voter ID laws

Res Ipsa Loquitur

The Washington Post ^ | 19 may 2012 | Amy Gardner

Organizers will fan out in key swing states this weekend to teach volunteers and voters how to navigate a series of laws passed by Republican-controlled state legislatures imposing stricter identification requirements, limiting early voting and making it harder to organize voter-registration drives.

It is the beginning of a months-long effort, campaign officials said, to combat what they described as a Republican effort to stifle voting among young people and minorities, two groups that traditionally tend to vote Democratic.

I could have posted this under the "DEMOCRATS," or "OBAMA," banner, but chose ATTACK MONKEY MEDIA because this story blithely accepts Obamunist fears as rational.  Wait, they are rational.  I meant, without a hint of reproval.  Maybe it's just me, but for chrisake!— this story is a grand jury indictment of the Democrat party's addiction to voter fraud.  How can this story be played straight?

White House Insider: Obama Hesitated – Panetta Issued Order to Kill Osama Bin Laden

"What Valerie Jarrett, and the president, did not know is that Leon Panetta had already initiated a program that reported to him –and only him, involving a covert on the ground attack against the compound."

H/T DonM

This is the crap that drives us  mad about the media refusal to report negatively on Obama, or the Democrtat Party for that matter.  Of a sudden this story (of necessity) is all over the place as breaking news. Here's some more breaking news. Obama's a liar. All elected Democrats are liars.  The media are criminally useless. It's why we can't have nice things.

Further Adventures of Sandra the Slut

Burning down the Reichstag Daily
Ex-Obama Official Running Sandra The Slut

Res Ipsa Loquitur

[...] Now, late today we found out that Ms. Fluke is now being repped by the progressive PR agency SKDKnickerbocker where Anita Dunn, the former Obama communications director is the managing editor... a-ha.

So, this whole deal comes back to the White House, at least indirectly. So, let's run down what we know. Sandra Fluke is a former head of the group "Georgetown University Law Students for Reproductive Justice." On February 9th, a group called "The Feminist Majority Foundation" arranged for Sandra to appear at press conference criticizing the Catholic bishops for objecting to President Obama's contraception mandate.

After that, Congressman Elijah Cummings, the former Chairman of the Congressional Black Caucus, invited Sandra to testify in front of the House Oversight Committee. But she was turned down by the chair, Congressman Darrell Issa, because she had no expertise in the church/state subject matter.

Nevertheless, Ms. Fluke went to the hearing and afterward complained to ABC News that she had been denied. A week later, Nancy Pelosi staged a mock hearing starring Sandra. After which Rush Limbaugh made derogatory comments elevating her to left-wing martyrdom ... ..  [Full Report]

Nothing  happenstance with this lot.

Thursday, October 20, 2011

Well ... .so there's that.

The State of the Union: A Poll
What do Americans really think about Obama and his jobs plan?

"David Axelrod, President Barack Obama's senior campaign strategist, pushed back against negative media accounts surrounding the president's approval rating and said recent polling shows the majority of Americans agree with Obama's plan to create jobs."—CNN

Sigh
Question: In the past few weeks, a group of peaceful, definitely non-communist, and completely non-anti-Semitic protesters has been quietly gathering on Wall Street and in other once-great cities decimated by the scourge of capitalism to, like the president, object to policies that they say -- and you know -- favor the criminally rich, big banks that charge fees and "interest," bailouts***, and the political party that doesn't run the presidency or the Senate. What is your view of these wholly American protests?

Very favorable: the 99 percent.

Question: What are your impressions of the zealously anti-government tea party?

Unfavorable: 100 percent. Very, very unfavorable: 53 percent.

Soylent Green remake - The Rest of the Story ....

SO WHATEVER HAPPENED TO THE SOYLENT GREEN REMAKE?

Seed Packet

Soylent Green is set in 2022, a future dystopia in which the planet is plagued by overcrowding, pollution and resource depletion. To cope with the problem the government has set up euthanasia centers for the elderly where they can watch stock footage of the now extinct forests and animals as self-

[SPOILERS!] The only foodstuff available in mass quantities is “Soylent Green,” tasteless green cubes which the government says are made of plankton. Of course it isn’t made of plankton:

Sometimes Hollywood screws up and makes a movie that turns out to be an uncomfortable reminder of a Democrat in the White House. A case in point was  Absolute Power, a 1997 film starring  Clint Eastwood as a jewel thief who witnesses the POTUS  sexually assault a  woman.  Her cries lead to the Secret Service killing her.   With Clinton in office, the audience association was immediate, and led to parody.
Weekend Update anchor Norm MacDonald was later fired for his lack of PC, and parodies of NBC president Don Ohlmeyer's  friends.
The article doesn't answer its own question, but I will. The instant I saw "Whatever Happened To The Soylent Green Remake," I knew.  Controlling drags on society (like Social Security recipients) with euthanasia (eating them was a nice touch) left the realm of science fiction with Obamacare.  Uncomfortable associations for Hollywood to live with.

Sue Random House for $10 Billion - Sounds Good ....

More Dudley Breitbart
Rotting AF1

In an email dated January 27, 2011, Joe McGinniss, author of The Rogue: Searching for the Real Sarah Palin, says that Random House lawyers have told him he has provided nothing more than “tawdry gossip” to substantiate “any of the salacious stories about the Palin family.”

Below, I present each of these accusations in turn, and how McGinniss used most of them in The Rogue, even though he admitted in his email that he could not prove them:

[Excerpted]

a) Todd had sex with a hooker, or with anyone else outside his marriage.
McGinniss dropped the “hooker” accusation–probably because he was afraid, as his email suggests, that the sole source “may be mentally unstable” and that even the National Enquirer appeared to be ready “to back off this story.”  Yet McGinniss did publish allegations in The Rogue that Todd flirted with other women

b)  Sarah had an affair with Brad Hanson, or anyone else.
McGinniss presents no named source for this accusation in The Rogue other than an article in the National Enquirer in October 2008 [and third party sources] McGinniss does not quote Cottle directly, but says that she fills him in on local gossip ... .

c)  Track was a druggie who enlisted in the army to avoid a jail term.  Or that he vandalized Wasilla school buses.
McGinniss’s basis for accusations of drug use by Track Palin is the National Enquirer, which in turn had quoted an unnamed “source” in 2008. He adds that “reports of Track’s drug use persisted even into the summer of 2010” but does not specify what those reports are, or from whom (p. 114). His primary source for the accusation of vandalism in 2005 is local gossip: “word spread immediately in Wasilla,”  Blah-blah-nlah

d)  Willow was involved in the vandalism of the empty house in Meadow Lakes.  Or that Sarah rushed back from Hawaii to put the lid on that.
McGinniss’s only source is the National Enquirer, which made these claims in 2010. He also claims “[m]any in Wasilla” believe the story (p. 111). He also cites gossip related by Colleen Cottle in 2010–again, Blah-blah-nlah

e) Trig is not Sarah’s natural born child. [Me: I think this is the most inexcusably malicious of the lot]
McGinniss provides no new evidence for this debunked claim, quoting “questions” being asked on “blogs” and the like (p. 316). McGinniss also cites “many Wasillans” who allegedly say that “even if she had not faked the entire story of her pregnancy and Trig’s birth, it was something she was eminently capable of doing” Blah-blah-nlah

f)   Bristol was promiscuous as a high schooler and drank and used drugs, or became pregnant again after Tripp’s birth.
McGinniss’s source is again local gossip in the summer of 2010: “Rumors immediately run rampant,” he says (p. 204). Once again, he also cites gossip allegedly related by (but not directly quoted from) Colleen Cottle in 2010. He mentions a July 2010 interview in The Daily Beast with Bristol’s alleged new boyfriend at the time, Ben Barber, which does not discuss promiscuity or drugs, and actually contradicts the claim that Bristol became pregnant again Blah-blah-nlah

Friedman - What a Schmuck

Today's Hilarity
NYT’s Friedman: ‘Way too soon to tell’ if media blew it vetting Obama the candidate

Vetting Obama

During the 2008 presidential election season, many Americans were captivated by then-candidate Barack Obama’s promises of hope and change. Many  argue that much of the media were taken in by the promises too. Nearly three years into the Obama presidency, is it fair to say the media were duped because they failed utterly to investigate the first thing about him?

On Sunday’s broadcast of CNN’s “Reliable Sources,” host Howard Kurtz asked New York Times columnist Thomas Friedman just that question. According to Friedman, the jury is still out.

“Way too soon to tell that kind of thing, I think,” Friedman said.
