Appearing on MSNBC on Friday, Lee put her foot in her mouth again when she insisted that Russia was using the encyclopedia website Wikipedia to affect the American election. “You know that first of all I’m going to denounce the utilization of this intrusion by Wikipedia through Russia,” Lee said. The website leaking information is Wikileaks, not Wikipedia. Wikileaks sent her a tweet to try and tell her the difference. Both are losers. But so is Biden-in spades! Tangentially, in trying to reconcile how so many Dem voters can be so gullible, and/or flat stupid, I'm struck by this personal observation.  Nobody I know, who has a life, spends much time (if any) on the social networks like Facebook, Twitter, etc.  They are,  all of them, politically  conservative.  Of those I know who are immersed in social networking, almost all have a pronounced liberal bent.  I dawdled myself with a Face Book (family) account for a few months, and straightaway I was blasted (and banned) by a family member for disagreeing with a leftist article —on his Timeline—which caused considerable embarrassment. That cloistered mindset, where viewpoints that challenge  group doctrine are blocked,  is responsible for the sorry state we find ourselves in. Liberals are often driven by a single self  serving  issue that trumps any E Pluribus Unumcy they may have once possessed.  Call  it a compound fracture of the body politic.

PREFACE: It's been my theory that because the media have promoted, protected and advanced the Democrat Party agenda for so long, any ability their advocates once had for rational thinking and  debate have atrophied beyond repair.  This revelation occurred while watching a give and take on the newly created Fox News.  Some Democrat, guesting I think on Fox and Friends, had his misstatement of fact thrown back in his face.  The look on his face was one of utter, "deer in headlights" astonishment.  Really.  This had never happened before.  Nobody had ever called him out for a lie.  In quick order, of course, FOX NEWS got the full Alinskey.  In just a few months core, mind numbed Democrats had been convinced that FOX NEWS was  a radical right-wing attack on the established order;  not to be trusted, believed, nor watched.  TODAY It's been a long time since I bothered to clock-in at Democrat.COM.  They hold a special place in my heart because someone on the site once dismissed a factual argument I made because I "was a paid Republican operative."  I never see them referenced anywhere, but they're still on my working menu. So property rights are pretty darn important to libertarians like Rand Paul, right? [BUT no one else?] In fact, Rand Paul got into deep doodoo over property rights and the Civil Rights Act when he argued Southern restaurant owners had the right to refuse to serve lunch to blacks if they wanted. I don't like the idea of telling private business owners — I abhor racism. I think it’s a bad business decision to exclude anybody from your restaurant — but, at the same time, I do believe in private ownership. So given the importance of property rights, it was a pretty serious betrayal of those rights when Rand Paul stole Warner Music's music copyright to "Shuttin Detroit Down." How do you deal with that ... enhanced water?  Answer: You can't.

Pelosi Chases Republican Tom Marino Across House Chamber “ What's that word? In an unusual breach of decorum, even for the divided Congress, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi chased Rep. Tom Marino across the House floor, taking offense at comments by the Pennsylvania Republican during debate on the border funding bill Friday night. “We don’t have law and order,” Marino began as he wrapped up his comments on the border supplemental. “My colleagues on the other side don’t want to do anything about it.” “You know something that I find quite interesting about the other side? Under the leadership of the former Speaker [Pelosi], and under the leadership of their former leader [Rep. Steny Hoyer], when in 2009 and 2010, they had the House, the Senate and the White House, and they knew this problem existed,” he continued. “They didn’t have the strength to go after it back then. But now are trying to make a political issue out of it now.” Off-mic, Pelosi then approached Marino, crossing the aisle in view of cameras, and apparently challenged Marino’s assertion that Democrats did not do anything about the issue when they had majority control. “Yes it is true,” Marino replied directly to Pelosi, who was House speaker in those years. “I did the research on it. You might want to try it. You might want to try it, Madam Leader. Do the research on it. Do the research. I did it. That’s one thing that you don’t do.” Marino then urged lawmakers to support the border supplemental “because apparently I hit the right nerve.” After Marino concluded his remarks and as many Republicans applauded their colleague, Pelosi crossed the chamber again in view of cameras, enraged, pointing and sticking her finger at Marino. She then followed Marino up a Republican aisle, gesturing and arguing with him. Lawmakers on the GOP side gathered in dismay as one spoke out to tell the chair that the House was not in order, in an effort to halt the bickering. Pelosi finally relented after Republicans tried to get between Pelosi and Marino, and she returned to the Democratic side of the chamber. The House then promptly voted to approve the $694 million border supplemental, 223-189. *ABC NEWS UPDATE: According to Pelosi spokeswoman Evangeline George, “Leader Pelosi just wanted to remind the Congressman that House Democrats had the courage to pass the DREAM Act – and have the courage to stand up for what the American people want: bipartisan, comprehensive immigration reform.” Oh, right.  Insane.  ”
