In other words, Obama has no more right to give illegal aliens work permits or delay congressionally mandated parts of Obamacare than he does to ban handguns by decree or reduce the number of electoral votes in Republican leaning states. That's why it's so incredibly dangerous to allow Obama to be "above the law." It's because the abuses committed tomorrow by Obama or even future Presidents are likely to build upon the ones that we're allowing to go unchallenged today. Despite the desperate attempts by media to show Hillary actually having a chance to beat Trump, The DNC know that holding the presidency is not possible (if Trump can stay alive long enough).  But, it can be so much worse for Democrats. A Reaganesque victory could cost the Dems historic losses in congress. But, what if  .. ... Obama was no longer the POTUS (two ways this can happen, one faster than the other)? And Joe Biden was? And President Biden instructed the DOJ to indict Hillary PDQ? And Joe Biden was tapped to replace her? They might not beat Trump, but Dem voters, who would otherwise stay home, may decide to vote. Dem "Poll Workers" would then have a chance to work their magic in key races.  I know thes people.

Both are losers. But so is Biden-in spades! Tangentially, in trying to reconcile how so many Dem voters can be so gullible, and/or flat stupid, I'm struck by this personal observation.  Nobody I know, who has a life, spends much time (if any) on the social networks like Facebook, Twitter, etc.  They are,  all of them, politically  conservative.  Of those I know who are immersed in social networking, almost all have a pronounced liberal bent.  I dawdled myself with a Face Book (family) account for a few months, and straightaway I was blasted (and banned) by a family member for disagreeing with a leftist article —on his Timeline—which caused considerable embarrassment. That cloistered mindset, where viewpoints that challenge  group doctrine are blocked,  is responsible for the sorry state we find ourselves in. Liberals are often driven by a single self  serving  issue that trumps any E Pluribus Unumcy they may have once possessed.  Call  it a compound fracture of the body politic.

Apropos of nothing, I have another "succession" question.  I've periodically asked what would happen if California, say north of Orange county,  fell into the sea?  Would congressmen from from that area be seated when the House next convened?  I mean, they would be representing nobody.  Last time I brought this up, Pelosi was House Speaker.   I deduced that she could stay as speaker regardless  (until voted out by the members) since there is no constitutional requirement for the job.  Hell, you could be elected Speaker (or Pope for that matter). Since nobody could cite any applicable law or statute, this is an area that needs to be addressed before chaos ensues—when it does happen.  Now I have another question.  Again, this is merely an academic exercise, on the order of "Death of a President." What if Joe Biden strangled Obama?  Biden is a nut case,  and a committed socialist, but I don't see him as someone who wants to be a modern-day Rudolf Hess or Herman Goering (second in command to a monster).  That's what prompted the question.  Of course,  the second Obama breathed his last,  Vice President Biden would assume the presidency.   Could he pardon himself, and carry on?  The best argument is yes, as long as he does it before he's impeached.  It appears I've answered my own question.  It would be a win-win for Biden, but a terrible precedent for the country.
