More Obama is God Awful Discourse

Obama vs. the First Amendment
Andrew McCarthy

FIRST PART Democrats and their sharky Obamedia defense lawyers are in a snit. For three dreamy convention days in Charlotte, they told themselves that, for the first time in decades, it was their guy who had the upper hand when it came to national security. Now that bubble has burst, the way contrived narratives do when they crash into concrete challenges. At that point, an airy president of the world won’t do; we need to have a president of the United States, a job that has never suited, and has never been of much interest to, Barack Obama.

in between words

LAST PART
The Embassy of the United States in Cairo condemns the continuing efforts by misguided individuals to hurt the religious feelings of Muslims.” So declared the Obama State Department in a statement issued on the website of its Egyptian embassy. At the time, it was clear that another episode of Muslim mayhem was imminent.

The statement is a disgrace, just as Mitt Romney said it was. It elevated over the U.S. Constitution (you know, the thing Obama took an oath to “preserve, protect, and defend”) the claimed right of sharia supremacists (you know, “Religion of Peace” adherents) to riot over nonsense. Further, it dignified the ludicrous pretext that an obscure, moronic 14-minute video was the actual reason for the oncoming jihad.

Here is the important part, however, the part not to be missed, no matter how determined the president’s media shysters are to cover it up: The disgraceful embassy statement was a completely accurate articulation of longstanding Obama policy.

The Daily Duh
Libya lawmaker: Benghazi attack planned

Res Ipsa Loquitor

The Muslim News reports  that a Libya lawmaker says Benghazi attack planned, and that sorry-ass straw-man film had nothing to do with the raid and murders at the Benghazi consulate.

"I don't want to talk about what happened in other countries but as for Libya, the operation was meticulously executed," Mohammed al-Megaryef said.

He added that foreign elements could be involved in the attack.

Mainstream media initially assumed that the raid on the Benghazi consulate was a response to an anti-Muslim film that has been making the rounds on Youtube. But evidence of the attack as a pre-planned jihadi operation has piled up in recent days.

Sensitive documents have reportedly gone missing at the Benghazi consulate, apparently leading to attacks on secret refugee "safe houses".
"There are non-Libyan elements on Libyan soil and they plan to carry out their own agendas on our territory," added al-Megaryef.

The revelations deepen the mystery surrounding the attack, as evidence comes to light that it was facilitated by "major security breaches," according to the British Independent.

Intelligence officials received "credible information" of the raid 48 hours before, yet the mission's usually robust security force made no effort to step up security measures, senior diplomatic sources told the newspaper.

It also revealed Stevens' visit to Benghazi was considered confidential, making the attack more difficult to orchestrate.

"There was planning. It was not a peaceful protest which degenerated into an armed attack or aggression. That's how it was planned," he said.  [full]

You can bet this month's Chevy Volt payment that the "foreign elements" were Iran, Iran, and Iran.  The Obama media are obviously frantic over this security failure reminding people of Jimmy Carter's "Hostage Crisis," and his inept policies that created it.

Obama Polling Worse Among Jews Than Any Dem in 32 Years
Res Ipsa Loquitor

You have to go all the way back to Jimmy Carter in 1980 to find a Democratic candidate who’s polling worse among Jews than Obama is. And that’s no coincidence. Carter scored big numbers against Ford in 1976 only to lose a major chunk of Jewish supporters after four years of pro-Terrorist policies that undermined Israel and security and stability in the Middle East.

Obama reportedly scored 76 percent of the Jewish  vote in 2008. Carter picked up 71 percent in 1976. By 1980, Carter was down to 45 percent. The latest polls show Obama down to 59 percent among Jews.

No Democrat has ever won the White House with that low a share of the vote. The Democratic candidates who scored that low, Carter in 1980, Dukakis, Mondale, McGovern, Adlai Stevenson, were all losers who went on to lose the election. To find a Democratic presidential candidate who won less than 60 percent of the Jewish vote and still won the White House, you have to go back 96 years to the election of 1916 where Woodrow Wilson had 55 percent of the Jewish vote against 45 percent for Republican Chris Evans Hughes. And that was considered a very close election.

The Jewish vote does not determine elections, but it is a sign of the loss of support. Romney is taking a Reagan sized bite of the Catholic vote and is within 4 percent of matching Reagan’s numbers among Jews. [Obama Polling Worse Among Jews Than Any Dem in 32 Years]

Christopher Stevens Feeds the Crocodile

“

Winston Churchill once said, “An appeaser is one who feeds a crocodile hoping it will eat him last.” On September 11, Christopher Stevens, a career diplomat, became one of the first Americans in Libya to feed the crocodile of Ansar Al-Sharia and learned too late that while appeasers may hope to be eaten last, they are often eaten first.

Christopher Stevens was a Middle Eastern diplomat who typified the new breed going from the University of Berkeley and the Peace Corps to desks in Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Syria. He taught English to Moroccan children in the Peace Corps and helped Palestinian Arabs in the East Jerusalem Consulate, which has a firm policy of pretending that Israel does not exist.

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said of Christopher Stevens that he “made other people’s hopes his own” and that may serve as a fitting eulogy both for Stevens and for the disastrous foreign policy of making “other people’s hopes” our own that brought on the Arab Spring.

Stevens, like Clinton and Obama, made the hopes of Islamists his own and they repaid him for it, just as Afghans repaid America for supporting them against the Soviet Union, as Lebanon and Somalia repaid America’s peacekeeping efforts by killing American troops and on down the litany of gratitude in bombs and bullets that have come America’s way from the Muslim world. [Christopher Stevens Feeds the Crocodile]

I think we can all agree on this.  There is not one—NONE— Obama appointee to any office who would not be instantly terminated, if not arrested,  by Ronald Reagan on his first day in office.  They are at best pasty-faced idealists; at worst, anti-American Obamunists.

That said, Reagan would agree that nobody can attack them on foreign soil without getting a  Gaddafi comeuppance, i.e., a visit from American fighter bombers.   That even includes Hillary, who, if she is to be assaulted (and pray that never happens of course), it has to be at the hands of someone in, say, Omaha.

How has this  administration responded?  Harassed the dim-witted a-hole who produced a truly lousy movie, which trailer was maybe seen by 20 people, and  which supposedly enraged the always enraged lunatic Muslum crowd. To them Obama apologized.

My son had to read this and answer homework questions to it. It's right out of an Atlas Shrugged mind, but I'll be damned if I can't see this happening by 2081...

Chris

THE YEAR WAS 2081, and everybody was finally equal. They weren't only equal before God and the law. They were equal every which way. Res Ipsa LoquitorNobody was smarter than anybody else. Nobody was better looking than anybody else. Nobody was stronger or quicker than anybody else. All this equality was due to the 211th, 212th, and 213th Amendments to the Constitution, and to the unceasing vigilance of agents of the United States Handicapper General.

Some things about living still weren't quite right, though. April for instance, still drove people crazy by not being springtime. And it was in that clammy month that the H-G men took George and Hazel Bergeron's fourteen-year-old son, Harrison, away.

It was tragic, all right, but George and Hazel couldn't think about it very hard. Hazel had a perfectly average intelligence, which meant she couldn't think about anything except in short bursts. And George, while his intelligence was way above normal, had a little mental handicap radio in his ear. He was required by law to wear it at all times. It was tuned to a government transmitter. Every twenty seconds or so, the transmitter would send out some sharp noise to keep people like George from taking unfair advantage of their brains.

George and Hazel were watching television. There were tears on Hazel's cheeks, but she'd forgotten for the moment what they were about.

On the television screen were ballerinas.

A buzzer sounded in George's head. His thoughts fled in panic, like bandits from a burglar alarm.

"That was a real pretty dance, that dance they just did," said Hazel.

"Huh" said George.

"That dance-it was nice," said Hazel.

You can watch the loosely adapted full movie here, or read it here, or read some of it, and do the homework here.  Then you decide (if you haven't already).

Wisconsin Judge Trumps Election

Bad Judges
It's by now an old story.  Citizens vote into law something left-Democrats don't agree with, so they do what?  That's right.

Wis. judge strikes down law limiting union rights

A judge struck down Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker's law that repealed most collective bargaining rights for public employees Friday, reports the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

The deeply controversial law revoked nearly all collective bargaining rights from most workers and has been in effect for more than a year.

NPR reports that the original law signed by Walker in February sparked massive protests and even caused all 14 Democratic lawmakers to flee the state to Illinois in a failed attempt to stop its passage.

The Governor's staunch support of the law was partially responsible for the unsuccessful attempt at recalling him earlier this yea

Everyone knows that there's really only one solution anymore, but it's a Sophie's Choice.  Do we save the country from judicial tyranny with the noose—by  sacrificing our tradition of making things work without resorting to violent third world solutions?

 Make that Hobson's choice.

Baltimore will be doing the same thing.  Funny thing is, without PG County and Baltimore City, Maryland wold likely be a Republican controlled state.  Well, at least the possibility would exist.  So here are people devising ways to get rid of spy cams, which is just about the most American thing anyone can do today, when all they have to do is vote the people who perped them out of office.  There is no possibility of that.
