That is the sale price (regularly $99) that Ancestry DNA is charging for searching your family genealogy. Millions of Americans have done it, either through Ancestry, 23andMe or some other ancestry research organization. Better still, she could walk down the street in Cambridge and consult with fellow Harvard educator Henry Louis Gates Jr., who hosts the popular and fascinating PBS television program “Finding Your Roots.” The Gates program traces genetic code and bloodlines that confirm or debunks long held beliefs about ancestry. Either way it could determine claims by Sen. Elizabeth Warren that she has Native American roots, was descended from Cherokee Indians, and was not your typical white person, as Barack Obama would say. This claim gave the blonde, blue-eyed Oklahoma native minority status. She listed herself as a minority in the legal directory of the Association of American Law Schools from 1986 to 1995. She was also listed as Native American in federal forms filed by Pennsylvania and Harvard law schools, where she was hired. So, despite her denials, Warren benefited in the hiring process at these institutions which at the time were seeking minorities to add to their staffs. Most likely, though, an intelligent person like Warren has already taken the DNA test, especially after her unsubstantiated claim became a campaign issue for the U.S. Senate in 2012 when she defeated incumbent Republican Scott Brown. Rather than documenting Cherokee Indian roots, the DNA test just might have found that Warren was just another typical white person of Irish, English, or Scottish ancestry. The issue could have been buried a long time ago if Warren had been more transparent and honest. Instead she is trying to have it both ways by splitting hairs. In an ingratiating speech last week before the National Conference of American Indians, Warren attacked President Donald Trump for calling her “ Pocahontas.” She then gave the audience a history lesson about Pocahontas, as though American Indians need to be told who Pocahontas was. While still clinging to her unsubstantiated Cherokee roots (“My mother’s family was part Native American”) Warren added that she could not prove it even if it is true. “You won’t find my family members on any rolls, and I am not enrolled in a tribe. And I want to make something clear. I respect that distinction. I understand that tribal membership is determined by tribes — and only by tribes. I never used my family tree to get a break or get ahead. I never used it to advance my career,” she said. In other words, although she is part Native American through her mother, she will not join any tribe. The reason she will not is that they will not accept her. This is like me saying that my ancestors came over on the Mayflower. That’s what my mother told me. I can’t prove it, and I do not look English, but what the hell, it’s what I was told and what I believe. And if she didn’t use her family tree to get ahead, why then did she list it in the legal directory that was used for hiring purposes? When Progressives Have the Helm                                                         Homer Simpson Agonistes In 2010 I cited a Telegraph article "Homer Simpson 'is a true Catholic'"  The newspaper acknowledged that Homer snores through the sermons of the Reverend Lovejoy and inflicts "never-ending humiliation" on his evangelical neighbour, Ned Flanders. But in an article headlined "Homer and Bart are Catholics", the newspaper said: "The Simpsons are among the few TV programmes for children in which Christian faith, religion, and questions about God are recurrent themes." The family "recites prayers before meals and, in their own peculiar way, believes in the life thereafter". The Simpsons were not Catholic of course, but did attend Sunday church where Rev. Lovejoy tried to keep Homer awake, and Bart from mischief making. [Since then we've learned through wikileaks that Progressives like John Podesta and Hillary Clinton targeted the Catholic Church for destruction.] Enter Al Jean. He took the show's helm from executive producer Mike Scully in 2001, and immediately changed its tone and tenor; going from apolitical to full fledged  "left bank."  He used Lisa Simpson's character to promote New Age sensibilities on the environment, politics, veganery, religion, and leftist politics.  In  EDGY SIMPSONS  I suggested that the new direction was a reaction to the balls-out content of Comedy Central's South Park. I still think there was some of that, but Al Jean was going in that direction anyway.  What capped it for me was the 2008  season opener showing rigged voting machines giving Obama votes to McCain. Elizabeth Warren’s Cherokee Problem is back She’s got about as much Indian blood as I have. Her whole life was based on a fraud. Say what you want about Donald Trump, but he has an instinctive knack for zeroing in on an opponent’s inherent weakness. With Jeb, it was “low energy.” That term exploited a key perception problem of Jeb, and one he couldn’t shake. So too did “Little Marco,” which may have ended not only Marco Rubio’s presidential campaign, but his political career — it’s a term I just can’t shake from my current perception of Rubio, and I suspect that a decade from now his political opponents will be referring to him as Little Marco. As to Hillary, Trump went straight for her supposed strength — supporting women and women’s rights — by zeroing in on Bill Clinton’s serial abuse of women and Hillary’s silence or connivance. Now comes Elizabeth Warren, who harshly criticized Trump this week. Trump’s response zeroes in on Warren’s key perception problem, that she dishonestly claimed Native American, and specifically Cherokee, heritage for professional purposes. Trump is quoted by Maureen Dowd in a column at the NY Times, Will Trump Be Dumped?, responding to Warren’s criticism, as follows: More heavyweights are jumping in to stomp Trump, including Elizabeth Warren. Asked about her jabs, he pounced: “I think it’s wonderful because the Indians can now partake in the future of the country. She’s got about as much Indian blood as I have. Her whole life was based on a fraud. She got into Harvard and all that because she said she was a minority.” The comment is getting headlines, including at the Boston Globe, which did everything it could during the 2012 Senate campaign to cover for Warren on the issue; and at The Daily Beast. {THE REST OF THE STORY} Studies show that children who haven't learned that lying is wrong by the age seven go on to vote for Democrats. In this case, the demonstration is meant to protest the deaths of African-Americans Eric Garner and Michael Brown, both of whom were killed by police officers. Occupy was one of the main sponsors of the protests this week aimed at shutting down Manhattan’s Fifth Avenue shopping district ahead of Christmas. As WND reported, missing from most news coverage is that the anti-police protests rocking New York are being openly coordinated and led by professional leftist agitators, not only Occupy Wall Street but also a communist-aligned, anti-war, anti-Israel, pro-Palestinian extremist organization. A WND review of major news coverage of the protests finds headlines such as these: USA Today: “NYC protesters defy mayor’s call for moratorium.” Bloomberg: “Protesters Defy NYC Mayor’s Call to Hold Off While Slain Cops Are Mourned.” Reuters: “NY protesters reject plea for hiatus despite police slayings.” New York Daily News: “Protests resume in New York to oppose police brutality despite Bill de Blasio’s plea to suspend demonstrations.” The coverage largely leaves the impression the demonstrations are spontaneous reactions to recent actions by law enforcement officials that some contend were motivated by racism. However, the protests, aimed at shutting down Manhattan’s Fifth Avenue shopping district ahead of Christmas, are being organized openly by radical leftist groups whose intent may not simply be the protest of alleged racism. Some of the news articles entirely fail to mention the protests were organized by the Act Now To End War & Stop Racism Coalition, or ANSWER, together with Occupy Wall Street and at least 10 other so-called economic justice and pro-Palestinian groups. Scores of article note the protests were coordinated by ANSWER but fail to give any context, such as ANSWER’s radical background and history, or mention of the other groups supporting the protest movement. USA Today, for example, simply reports: “The action, organized by the Act Now to End War & Stop Racism Coalition, came hours before the city’s landmarks, including the Empire State Building, the Chrysler building, One World Trade Center, were to dim their lights at 9 p.m. for five minutes to honor officers Wenjian Liu and Rafael Ramos.” No further details about ANSWER are provided. Reuters similarly reported: “Answer Coalition, organizers of a march on 5th Avenue in midtown Manhattan, said a ‘peaceful protest against police violence’ would continue as planned.” Founded in the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks, ANSWER is an umbrella group famous for its protests against Israel and against America’s wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. The group is known to be one of the most extreme among the progressive community in its positions on Israel and on U.S. military action. Its steering committee is made up of progressive groups, socialists and advocates from the Muslim, Arab, Palestinian, Filipino, Haitian and Latin American communities. During the height of the second Palestinian Intifada, or terrorism war targeting Israel, ANSWER in April 2002 organized a demonstration in Washington, D.C., that the group claims was the biggest pro-Palestinian rally in U.S. history. In August, ANSWER led another Washington, D.C., rally against what the group described as “the Israeli massacre against people in Gaza.” At the time, Israel was at war with the Hamas terrorist organization, which fired thousands of rockets from territory under its control in Gaza into Israeli cities. A May 2003 downloadable flyer on “Counter-revolution and Resistance in Iraq” states: “Having achieved their victory [the U.S. in Iraq], however, the occupiers now confront a people who have a long and proud history of resistance. The anti-war movement here and around the world must give its unconditional support to the Iraqi anti-colonial resistance.” Some of ANSWER’s leaders are associated with the Stalinist Workers World Party. Meanwhile, almost entirely unreported by the news media is that Occupy is a co-sponsor of the anti-police protests targeting Fifth Avenue and may be hijacking the demonstrations for its own goals. On its website, Occupy Wall Street wrote: “Fifth Avenue is the world’s most expensive shopping street – a playground for the global 1%. **This 1% is precisely who the police serve and protect. The other day, outside a protest in Manhattan outside a Citigroup office, someone was carrying a sign that said, “I’m from the Elizabeth Warren wing of the Democratic party.” Surely he meant to say he was from the fake Indian wing of the unhinged lunatic fringe that has become what was once the party of, well, not Elizabeth Warren. Coffin Medicine? “ Raja,  We got a good introduction to the Benghazi scandal last week.  Looks like next week will be even more explosive.  Joseph Curl (in the Washington Times) estimated that by close of business Friday, Obama will have his ass in a sling (and I believe Attila the Hen will, as well).  And if it is true that Obama let loose the IRS scandal in the hope of diverting attention from Benghazi, his hope will be shattered.  In fact, there will be TWO major bonfires burning on Capitol Hill next week.  Figure on several sacrificial virgins being thrown into the pyres, with little effect. I will be listening to Rush Limbaugh for his expert political analysis, and Mark Levin for his legal view.  I was listening Friday when Mark got into the IRS scandal, and that’s when I found out it was he and his Landmark Legal Foundation that got the ball rolling on that one.  I felt practically like a witness to history. Will Obama be impeached?  That’s problematic, as the Senate, where the trial would be held, is in Democrat control.  However, that might not be true after the 2014 elections, so timing may play a role.  Especially with these two scandals, plus further impact from the economic impact of Obamacare, and Democrat casualties of the gun control wars.  I particularly recall the 1994 situation, in which the Democrats were shellacked for the same reason.  And what of Attila the Hen?  What looked a few weeks ago like a shoe-in nomination and election campaign, now looks like a whole new ball game.  How can she appear anywhere questions may be asked?  Attila the Hen may simply be taken care of in the manner of Kentucky Fried Chicken. But consider where we're at.  To cite just one example, in the past election , when polled on the Elizabeth Warren (D) race against the incumbent Scott Brown (R who won Ted Kennedy's senate seat!) this: Brown’s hurdle is that even as voters from both parties say they like him personally, regard   him as bipartisan, and give him high marks on his job performance, many also say they plan to stick with their political party. Liz,  I want to support your campaign because I believe you will save capitalism. “ The Democratic Senate challenger, already under fire for her own remark that “there is nobody in this country who got rich on his own,” made her claim that she is a business champion in an interview with the National Journal published Sunday.   “Every now and again, I meet with someone who’s been very successful on Wall Street, who says, ‘I want to support your campaign because I believe you will save capitalism. I believe in capitalism, and I understand there have to be rules. And they have to be consistently enforced,’ ” Warren told the National Journal.  [Boston Herald] This isn’t the first time Warren has made grandiose pronouncements. She claimed to have provided the “intellectual foundation” for the Occupy movement last year, but almost immediately backed off the remark, and has been slammed for her as-yet unsupported claims of Cherokee heritage and minority status in a professional listing. Warren, despite being in a dead heat with DNC Chairman Debbie Wasserman Schultz of Florida for Most Staggeringly Stupid Democratess, is apprently also in a dead heat with Scott Brown in her senate race.  How?    Polls show about one-quarter of Obama supporters in Massachusetts are supporting Brown – the highest cross-over total seen in any competitive Senate race this cycle.
