I am now sufficiently crabby I voted. I thawed. I ate. We voted a straight American ticket. After nearly 9 days of a bread and water/rosary fast, I was starting to tremble. Came home and ate this crab cake that Hucker gave me 8 days ago. It was delicious. By the by, we were standing in line and MoSup heard a woman grumble "why in heaven do they have to check I.Ds?  Who the heck is going to cheat?"MoSup turned around; recognized the lady as a known Obamunist, and replied, "Democrats." BWAYMUS DEEUS SENYOR In grade school I was an altar boy, and thus knew by rote the entire Mass, which was then said in Latin.  In high-school I took four years of Latin,  and was able to squeak by reading the latin text of  Gallic Wars Book 1 (with a "C-").  Now, 8 days into our 9 day bread & water/ Rosary election fast, I have a problem.  Here's the latin text for the Hail Mary. AVE MARIA, gratia plena, Dominus tecum. Benedicta tu in mulieribus, et benedictus fructus ventris tui, Iesus. Sancta Maria, Mater Dei, ora pro nobis peccatoribus, nunc, et in hora mortis nostrae. For the past year I've been trying (weekly, if not daily) to re-memorize those 30 words ... and I can't. While I am more forgetful, my Dr. tells me that it's not unusual for my age (73). Still, it bugs the hell out of me, because, obvioulsy, the dreaded word Alzheimer comes to mind easier than does gratia plena. MoSup tells me that sugar is suspected to be a contributory cause, and I do love my pecan pie.  A good friend of ours is well into Alzheimer's, but still functions.  Talking with him is delightful, until he tells the same story the third time in one sitting. On the plus side, he has not a worry in the world. Always happy, and, so far, no rants about people trying steal his stuff. A life long Liberal Democrat, he doesn't give a rat's ass who wins this election.  Maybe he's the lucky one.

The radio host likened Comey to the “Lone Ranger,” riding to the Clinton campaign’s rescue. He added that Comey was “still carrying water for Clinton and is trying to get everybody to stop paying attentions to the Wikileaks dump.” Limbaugh qualified that this was the “cynical” interpretation of recent events. [FULL] It appears we are being punked big time. This election is truly a pivotal time. I fear that unless Trump wins, and by a great enough margin to survive government (Democrat)  attempts to throw it into litigation limbo, it could very well be all over. Even if Trump  should win every state, it may not not preclude that Obama will foment rebellion and declare martial law.  Sound crazy?  Bet your ass.

Haley Nieves said protesters crashed one of their pro-Trump rallies. “They were stomping on the American flag during the event and even attempting to burn it afterward.” On Oct. 26 a man dressed as a construction worker took a sledgehammer and a pick-ax to Trump’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Deadline Hollywood reports. The vandalism obliterated Trump’s name on the sidewalk. Afterwards, a homeless black woman guarded what was left of the star. The woman held a sign that reads, “20 Million Illegals and Americans Sleep on the Streets in Tents. Vote Trump.” Clinton supporters raided the woman’s shopping cart and hurled abuse at her.As an angry mob tore up her signs, one man told her "You spewed hate and you got hate." He added, "You got exactly what you were dishing out. I told you. I warned you." ETC.,ETC, ETC .. It's not what it is.  You know what fact-checking is?  Fact-checking is nothing more than an opportunity for the Drive-Bys to opinionate in the news by calling it fact-checking.  There's are not fact checks. These are bogus, opinion-oriented assertions. But of course the low-information voters that read this stuff and even some, well, relatively intelligent people think that what we're getting here is legitimate fact-checking. Now, here's a piece from Kelly Riddell.  I didn't print where this comes from.  This might be McClatchy. It's not McClatchy.  It might be Breitbart.  I don't think it's Breitbart. I'm sorry, I didn't print out the website. (interruption) They say it's a popular one. I know that. I just don't remember what it is.  But there are "Eight Examples Where 'Fact-Checking' Became Opinion Journalism." This is the whole point.  In fact, James Taranto -- who is a great blogger, The Best of the Web blog, part of the Wall Street Journal empire. James Taranto actually tweeted that fact-checking "is opinion journalism pretending to be some sort of heightened objectivity." That's even better because that's exactly right.  The Drive-Bys do their fact-checking under the guise that they have no bias whatsoever, that they're totally objective and they're looking at these claims and they're being the final arbiter with no bias whatsoever, and it's patent BS.  And so what Kelly Riddell has done here is give eight examples of supposed fact-checking which are really nothing more than attempts at opinion journalism.  The first one is from the New York Times [...] Amen I say unto you ... keep the faith.
