Mohammed heard one of his wives was leaving him, so he rushed home where he found her on the carpet in front of the tent with her belongings; he sat beside her and said, “I heard you were planning to leave me?”

She replied, “Yes, I heard your other wives saying you were a pedophile!”

Mohammed responds, “That's a mighty big word for a 6-year old."

Orange Peel Candy - by request

Code Orange Update
CANDIED ORANGE PEEL

1 Quart (1/4-inch wide) orange
Strips (about 15 oranges)
1/2 ts Salt
2 c Sugar
1 c Water
Sugar

Place orange peel in water to cover in a Dutch oven; add salt. Bring to a boil, and boil 20 minutes. Drain. Repeat boiling procedure twice without salt, and set orange peel aside.Combine 2 cups sugar and 1 cup water in a small saucepan; bring to a boil and cook, stirring often, until syrup spins a thread, about 7 minutes (234 degrees). Add orange peel; simmer 30 minutes, stirring often. Drain orange peel well.  Discard syrup.Roll peel, a few pieces at a time, in sugar. Arrange in a single layer on wire racks; let dry 4 to 5 hours. Store in an airtight container.
Yield: about 1 pound.

'I've  got about  1½ quarts of that orange wine .. but it has taken on somewhat of a bitter taste.  I have a lot of that orange infused sugar syrup left, so maybe I'll mix it all together. Because I'm not enthusiastic about it however, I know in the long run it's all going down the drain.  The Orange peels though ... holy crap, to die for.  Actually, they taste  like those soft orange candy slices they sell -- and are just as good [diabetic coma] for you..

Thanks to everyone who sent me advice, all of it good, but all of it requiring more effort than I'm willing to spend.

Non-Muslim Muslims and the Jihad Against the West

Recovering Muslim

That is, if Muslims don’t kill me for leaving Islam, which it requires them to do. That’s just one of the reasons I’ve been writing and drawing against Islam and its Jihad for a number of years now. But fortunately for us, Islam hasn’t been able to make every Muslim its slave, just as Nazism wasn’t able to turn every German into a Nazi. So there is Islam and there are Muslims. Muslims who take Islam seriously are at war with us and Muslims who don’t aren’t.

But that doesn’t mean we should consider these reluctant Muslims allies against Jihad. I’ve been around Muslims my entire life and most of them truly don’t care about Islam. The problem I have with many of these essentially non-Muslim Muslims, especially in the middle of this war being waged on us by their more consistent co-religionists, is that they give the enemy cover. They force us to play a game of Muslim Roulette since we can’t tell which Muslim is going to blow himself up until he does. And their indifference about the evil being committed in the name of their religion is a big reason why their reputation is where it is.  [Full]

This nicely explains why Muslum communities in non-Muslum countries represent a huge danger.  Kind of like how the Medellin drug cartels were able to co-opt Columbia's political, law enforcement, and  military establishments — "go along or we'll kill you and your entire family" resonates.

Soft Entanglement ...

WHOA! More Entanglement!

Entanglements ....

WHOA!

Entanglement

The vibrational states of two spatially separated, millimeter-sized diamonds are entangled at room temperature by beaming laser light at them (green). The researchers verified this entanglement by studying the subsequent laser pulses beamed through the system.

Scientists have linked two diamonds in a mysterious process called entanglement that is normally only seen on the quantum scale.

Entanglement is so weird that Einstein dubbed it "spooky action at a distance." It's a strange effect where one object gets connected to another so that even if they are separated by large distances, an action performed on one will affect the other. Entanglement usually occurs with subatomic particles, and was predicted by the theory of quantum mechanics, which governs the realm of the very small. [Full]

Here's more on Entanglement.    I can't help but wonder why of a sudden all this Quantum theory is cascading down on us?  Is it that it's time to know?

Questlove is a Lyin' Ass Bitch

The Hollywood scumbag story of the week had to be this.

Rep. Michele Bachmann said Wednesday that NBC's response to the decision by the House band on "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" to play a song called "Lyin' A** B*tch" as she walked onstage shows the anti-conservative bias as well as sexism of "the Hollywood entertainment elite."

The Roots, the house band of “Late Night With Jimmy Fallon,” were attacked on Twitter by “3,500 tea party extremists”   By definition all teapartiers are activists at some level, but I doubt that a single Twit signed off as  "Joe Blow, teaparty activist," so how do they know?

Nevertheless, Questlove, who I take it is the drummer for this motley crew, claims that  the most memorable insult he received was “nigger fuckhead ghetto stick.”   In all likelihood he's a lying -ass MoFo.  There is zero precedent for  teapartiers making racial attacks, but there are many cases of false accusations.  No, the  likelihood is that one of  his homies made the comment, as in "Hey Quest you  nigger fuckhead ghetto stick, wus up?"  Lots of precedent for that.

Telescopic Roach Killing Slipper

"Research has shown that the slipper is already the preferred instrument for indoor cockroach swatting, with up to 80% of householders preferring indoor footwear to rolled up newspapers or paperback books. With telescoping handles you can operate from longer range with greater accuracy – no more desperate throwing of slippers as the scuttler disappears behind a sofa. Ideal for those who can’t, or won’t, get too close the their prey.”

Also may be used to flagellate, put out small house fires, up-skirt  shoe cam, and more ... . I think you can make these yourself.  Duct tape a telescoping car radio aerial to any slipper, and duct tape a handle.  You're welcome.

Justice at Last

But then one of the obscure policy shops that abound in Washington, the Committee for Ethnic Piety, filed suit against Harvard for noncompiance. The proximate cause was an article in the Harvard Crimson, the school newspaper, about a course called Math 55, the hardest math course at the univrsity and thus, Harvard liked to think, in America. The students in Math 55, reported the Crimson, were 45 percent Jewish, 18 percent Asian, and 100 prcent male. The class didn't, said the Committee for Ethnic Piety, look like America.

Harvard Math 55

After a laborious search the university discovered Wunxputl, a member of the Tloxyproctyl tribe of the Amazon Basin, consisting of twelve people who lived on yams and the flesh of the Three-Toed Sloth. Wunxputl was at Wellesley, where he served in a minor administrative position that had no responsibilities. He had been brought there seven years earlier by the anthropology department, so it could atone for White Guilt. It didn't matter that Wellesley was guilty of nothing. The atonement was a pleasant form of narcissism, allowing the faculty to congratulate themselves on their moral purity.

Harvard arranged with Wellesley to borrow Wunxputl for three minutes every seven years, which it had calculated would satisfy the demands of ethnic proportionality. Justice, at last, had been achieved.

Greoge Forean Grill v, Cuisinart

Gizmos and Gadgets
George Foreman Jumbo Grill

In early October I ordered a Jumbo George Foreman Grill from WOOT for $19.95.  For that price, I figured there was little to lose.   I know what you're saying.  But Rodge, what about the Cuisinart George Foreman Panini Grill?

The King is Dead.  Long live the King.
Today's Gadget

Since 2004 I've had three Cuisinart's - one is still in the basement unopened.  I was saving it for if we ever got our kitchen updated.  The problem with Cuisinart is it's impossible to keep clean.  Plus, when you open the lid,  grease from the top drains onto the counter.  Still, I really had no intention of using the real George Foreman for anything but a fill-in.
That's changed.  When I first opened it however,  I thought "What a piece of crap!"  It reminded me of the Japanese toys of my youth; flimsily stamped sheet metal. crap. Felt like it weighed about 12 ounces.

Today's Gadget
This thing instead is simplicity as art.  No on/off switch.  Plug it in, and about 60 seconds the sumbitch is melting cheese. Unlike the Cuisinart,  there are no interchangeable cooking surfaces (fat and grill).  Don't matter,  The built in ribs on the lower surface leave grill marks on meat, but are virtually unnoticeable on sammiches.  The grill is sloped so the grease rolls off into the provided full length drip pan.  The lid does not drip when opened, and it takes maybe 2 minutes to .wipe to new after using.  What I like most so far though,  is using it to hold and drain fried food. It keeps chicken, fries etc. warm and crispy, and lets them drain while you make more.  I love it. But then. y'all prolly had one 5 years ago, so I'm just updating my "Stuff that works" register.

20 Things ...

Filthy Democrats

  1. The Democratic Party controlled a majority in both chambers for the first time since the end of the 103rd Congress in 1995.
  2. January 3rd, 2007 , the day the Democrats took over the Senate and the Congress:
  3. The DOW Jones closed at 12,621.77
  4. The GDP for the previous quarter was 3.5%
  5. The Unemployment rate was 4.6%
  6. George Bush's Economic policies SET A RECORD of 52 STRAIGHT MONTHS of JOB CREATION!
  7. Remember that day...
  8. January 3rd, 2007 was the day that Barney Frank took over the House Financial Services Committee and Chris Dodd took over the Senate Banking Committee.
  9. The economic meltdown that happened 15 months later was in what part of the economy?
  10. BANKING AND  FINANCIAL SERVICES!
  11. THANK YOU DEMOCRATS (especially Barney ) for taking us from 13,000 DOW, 3.5 GDP and 4.6% Unemployment...to this CRISIS by (among MANY other things) dumping 5-6 TRILLION Dollars of toxic loans on the economy from YOUR Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac FIASCOES!
  12. (BTW: Bush asked Congress 17 TIMES to stop Fannie & Freddie -starting in 2001 because it was financially risky for the US  economy). Barney blocked it and called it a "Chicken Little Philosophy" (and the sky did fall!)
  13. And who took the THIRD highest pay-off from Fannie Mae AND Freddie Mac? OBAMA
  14. And who fought against reform of Fannie and Freddie?
  15. OBAMA and the Democrat Congress, especially BARNEY !!!!
  16. So when someone tries to blame Bush...
  17. REMEMBER JANUARY 3rd, 2007.... THE DAY THE DEMOCRATS TOOK OVER!"
  18. Bush may have been in the car but the Democrats were in charge of the gas pedal and steering wheel they were driving the economy into the ditch.
  19. Budgets do not come from the White House.. They come from Congress and the party that controlled Congress since January 2007 is the Democratic Party.
  20. Furthermore, the Democrats controlled the budget process for 2008 & 2009 as well as 2010 & 2011.
Just sayin'

MSNBC contributor Meghan McCain was asked Thursday to compare Minnesota Rep. Michelle Bachmann to former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin during an appearance on the network.

'I think she's—   this is going to get me in trouble, but I actually think she's just more smarter,' explained McCain."

One thing is apparent.  MSNBC is playing this twat like a banjo.

Marc Pitzke

Now is time on Sprockets when we dance

Marc Pitzke

Marc Pitzke is a New Yorker who might just as well be a shoe-bomber than the anti US journalist he is.  I crudely translated this bio from  a Dankeschön! article. Anyway, what brings this schnoodle noodle  to our attention today is an article he wrote for Der Spiegel.

A Club of Liars, Demagogues and Ignoramuses

They lie. They cheat. They exaggerate. They bluster. They say one idiotic, ignorant, outrageous thing after another.
Marc Pitzke war and the nation
It is known that Marc is an avid opponent Pitzke the U.S. and its anti-appeasement policy. We also know that Pitzke the U.S. for a "failed state" holds, because they do not move in the European tradition of the "nanny state".

But now - now, Marc Pitzke found "his" American. Yes, they should be like a small sect that has Pitzke somewhere inflated in New York. It was two days before the 11.9. founded and the High Priestess says that God was sitting in the two planes.

They've shown such stark lack of knowledge --  political, economic, geographic, historical -- that they make George W. Bush look like Einstein and even cause their fellow Republicans to cringe.

'Freakshow'

"When did the GOP lose touch with reality?" wonders Bush's former speechwriter David Frum in New York Magazine. In the New York Times, Kenneth Duberstein, Ronald Reagan's former chief-of-staff, called this campaign season a "reality show," while Wall Street Journal columnist and former Reagan confidante Peggy Noonan even spoke of a "freakshow."

That may be the most appropriate description. [...]

No Shortage of Chutzpah

Then there's Newt Gingrich, the current favorite. He's a political dinosaur, dishonored and discredited. Or so we thought. Yet just because he studied history and speaks in more complex sentences than his rivals, the US media now reflexively hails him as a "Man of Ideas" (The Washington Post) -- even though most of these ideas are lousy if not downright offensive, such as firing unionized school janitors, so poor children could do their jobs.

Pompous and blustering, Gingrich gets away with this humdinger as well as with selling himself as a Washington outsider -- despite having made millions of dollars as a lobbyist in Washington. At least the man's got chutzpah. [Full Screed]

You get the idea.  So what's the point of bringing it up? Skoonj sent me the story and it pissed me off to see this amalgam of agitprop and distortions peddled overseas.  I want you to be just as pissed at this arschficker—   who, evidently, said God was flying the 9-11 planes!  And aware of what our American Taliban are up to.  Carry on.

Attack Media Raising Cain

ONCE YOU GO CONSERVATIVE BLACK, YOU BETTER WATCH YOUR BACK

With the mainstream media giddily reporting on an alleged affair involving Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain, how long can it be before they break the news that their 2004 vice presidential candidate conceived a "love child" with his mistress, Rielle Hunter?

The left is trying to destroy Cain with a miasma of hazy accusations leveled by three troubled women. Considered individually, the accusations are utterly unbelievable. They are even less credible taken together. This is how liberals destroy a man, out of nothing.

After the first round of baseless accusations against Cain, an endless stream of pundits rolled out the cliche -- as if it were the height of originality -- "This isn't he said-she said; it's he-said, she-said, she-said, she-said, she–said."

Au contraire: We had two "shes" and only one "said."

Remember? Only two women were willing to give their names. And as soon as they did, we discovered that they were highly suspicious accusers with nothing more than their personal honor to support the allegations. Only one of the two would even say what Cain allegedly did.

The first one was Sharon Bialek ...  Ann Coulter Cont

NEWT AT HIS FINEST

I'm still able to be mesmerized by Newt's ideas and rhetoric.  Unfortunately, in my view he's part of the GOP establishment who sabotaged Sarah Pain and now Herman Cain. Yes, the GOP,  in partnership with the DNC.  Newt is at heart a believer in government - BIG government.  Here's a clip from today's Classic Liberal; ideas that are compatible with my own.  Teaparty Caves-in

Newt Gingrich in a Nutshell

ABC News and Yahoo sponsored a round of interviews with the Republican presidential candidates earlier this month. Here's Newt's response when he was asked what other graven image he thought should adorn Mount Rushmore.

Who should be the fifth president on Mount Rushmore?

Gingrich: I'll go for five and six: F.D.R. and Reagan.

Yes, you read that correctly. Newt Gingrich wants to honor Franklin Delano Roosevelt, the very man whom the modern conservative movement rose to fight against. See: FDR and the Collectivist Wave.
