This week's outrage comes to us from a rather unlikely source:  the Google Play app store.  The new app is called the Gun Geo Marker, and encourages users to "geolocate dangerous guns and owners" in their communities. According to Google Play, "Geolocation means marking dangerous sites on the App's map so that you and others can be aware of the risks in your neighborhood."  Think about that for a minute.  The purpose of the app--other than sensationalism and profit--is to encourage people to anonymously "flag" locations in their community they subjectively deem "dangerous" and to make that information as public as possible.  The probability for abuse and the certainty of inaccurate "reporting" cannot be overstated.  What's to keep people from marking any location for any reason at all?  Nothing.  The practice is not only a serious invasion of privacy, but would also be just as dangerous and irresponsible as publishing the names of concealed-carry permit holders in local papers.  The app could enable thieves to target and steal firearms from law-abiding gun owners, while conversely advertising that other residences are "gun free" and therefore easy targets for criminals.  [Full] Of course it will also let yeggs pick safe targets to burgle.  The real outrage is of course that Google is again facilitating the Fascist Left's ambition to have a dossier on every American.  It will take the average semi educated, and somewhat observant person, about 2 ms to recognize why they'd want these "controls."   Since Tom Mann sent me this earlier,  I've been trying to find  another  Blog program that I can  implement myself, without having to devote my life to it, and still maintain the look and feel of C&S over the past 10 years.  Makes me shudder, but I am determined to divorce myself entirely from Google Inc, even if it means getting out of the business.  ”

The Humanity              Ecotwits and Sewer Rats From time to time I like to see what has Democrats Underground in a lather.  I mostly don't get too excited by the goings on there anymore.  I've accepted (truly) that they are an alien people who fell through some wormhole into our culture, or we theirs.  Anyway, it's like looking at a roadside accident as you move by, gruesome, but you have to look. One of the things that have them agitated is this. It was the fourth time Gunnoe had been in front of the committee and the second time she had been there at the behest of Lamborn. blah-blah-blah ” I don't know about coal mining hearings, but given Obama's war on coal (or any energy production) in the U.S.), it's no surprise that there are hearings.  The DU story paints a a lurid picture of Lamborn and other Republicans ("shows that their minds are right there in the gutter beside their hearts").  Reading from the Congressional record however paints a different picture of  Maria Gunnoe of West Virginia.  “ ."I am Maria Gunnoe from Boone County WV and I (like 100’s of others) help to represent the stories of the Appalachian Communities where coal mining impacts are killing the people  ... Then in 2009, in steps the Obama administration’s EPA trying to fix the problems that the Bush administration created and then ignored. ... ” One suspects that Ms. Gunnoe also sports a Hawaiian birth certificate (ahem), being as she is so "one" with that wretched man in the White house.  By the by, that photo could be described as inappropriate if presented out of context in Pedo Weekly (although it must be said that some find any child photographs "suggestive").  By making an issue of it however, Rep.Lamborn  changed the focus from the motives of another  left-wing eco-wacko to that silliness. The Daily Caller today features What you should know about Mohamed El Baradei, who is positioned to lead Egypt after Mubarak is beheaded.  If you're in too much of a hurry to read the article, like me, this is all you really need to know, although I'm sure DC piles it on.  Mohammed El Baradei joins Jimmy Carter, Al Gore and Barack Obama as winners of the Nobel Peace Prize for no discernible reason other than being vocal critics of the United States. Mohammed El Baradei has partnered-up with the Muslim Brotherhood. The Nobel Peace Prize medal has become the equivalent of certain gang tattoos/biker "colors" that are earned by killing someone; and should therefore (in both cases) be considered actus reus for an "arrest on sight" warrant, and  be targeted by drones armed with Hell Fire missiles (except where prohibited by law).  That goes for every person with any association with the Muslim Brotherhood.  Semper Jihad!
