If not Trump?

              Catharsis

If Not Trump... Who?

To those who didn't get the original notification, this is just a note that I won't be sending out news articles each day.  Here is why. (Skoonj)

Trump just kissed his own ass goodbye. The Republicans will lose the House, Trump will be impeached, and he will not be re-elected in 2020. That's my instant analysis.

In fact, he might not last that long. His effort to not get blamed for a government shutdown has sealed his fate. He got horrible advice from his staff. Reagan shut it down several times, and pretty much got what he wanted despite not having majorities in either House. Once impeached, which is a near certainty, how many of senate castrati will join Democrats in voting to convict?

This debacle tells me it no longer matters who I vote for. Democrat and Republican, it's all the same. It doesn't even matter which party is in the majority. The Senate majority leader, McConnell, has been invisible since the signing. Maybe he's consulting with the Chinese paymasters for his wife and himself.

Last year, early in the new administration, Rush Limbaugh interviewed Vice President Pence on his radio show. Rush asked ... why would anyone vote for Republicans? I don't recall the answer. A year later it really doesn't matter which candidate and which party one votes for. Election day will come and go without notice in my house. Maybe I'll get up the energy to go to the polling place and make a demonstration: I'll burn my voter registration card. That's how little voting means today.

No, I don't feel any better about it now.  In fact, voting and political activism or even rooting means essentially nothing.  Each day I send out between ten and 20 articles, mostly political.  With them, it is my hope, people are better informed and that may help when confronting the "lesser breeds without the law."  However, what Trump has done is so egregious, and comes from a Congress so compromised, that information, confrontation and voting mean essentially nothing.  We came.  We fought.  We lost.

I now see no reason to continue sending out the articles, and so I won't.  I'm not going anywhere, but I'm not going to waste my time.

Thank You For Your Support

In my Dear Don post last week I expressed my own disappointment with The Donald.   My assessment of the state of our union goes much deeper than the presidency. Here are some thoughts that cross my mind.  Hey, I'm not saying I would follow through, they're just random thoughts that express my despair.

We are engaged in a great civil war.  For Real
Who do we have to kill? And how?  Were' talking millions.  Eek.
After selling our home and cashing out, where do we move?
If they come for my guns (if I only had some) would I shoot it out?
Yes if I saw them coming  (my wife did not disagree when I shared this one with her)
What can I, as one person do? Maybe like John Burns.
I pray.
Would I nuke Washington DC if I could? At the right (or wrong) moment (Congress in session for sure).  And all Democrat Party functions.
Would these actions be a mortal sin?
Do I blame Donald Trump? ( No)
I think we move to Alabama.
If I cashed out everything I could buy a helicopter and ... do stuff.
Todays Millennials and snowflakes are the future, But they are so utterly ignorant.
Nuking about 300 college campi would be a noble thing,
Fuck Duke.

Trump's Godfather-ly sitdown

Trump's Godfather-ly sitdown with Pelosi and Schumer

Far be it from me to encourage, support or condone political assassination (at least not of anyone in this country).

And yet, when I heard about Trump’s dinner with Chuck U. Schumer and Pelosi Galore, my subconscious mind forced me to think of a scene from a 1972 movie in which a man went to dinner with two of his enemies:

[...]

First of all, far be it from me to wish to even set foot anywhere near the figurative territory inhabited by the likes of Maria Chappelle-Nadal, the Missouri State senator from suburban St. Louis who vociferously broadcast her desire to see President Trump assassinated (and who has been, thus far, only censured but not removed from office). Far be it from me to encourage, support or condone the assassination of anybody (at least not anybody in this country)!

And yet, when I heard about Donald Trump actually sitting down to dinner with Chuck U. Schumer and Pelosi Galore (whom Mark Levin has called “saboteurs, out to destroy Trump’s presidency”), try as I might I simply could not prevent my subconscious mind from free-associating and directing my thoughts to one of my favorite scenes from “The Godfather”:

Those are a few of the comments to Stu's explication. For my part, I really don't pay much attention to any of it anymore.  I felt going in that Trump was our last and only hope, and Oorah, he won.  I am not going to question a  thing he does, because either I was right to place my trust in him, or I wasn't.  I am however flummoxed  by how deep the Deep State is.  I used to have a red button that we could press and blow the crap out of everyone.  Can't find it.  I think MoSup put it in with the washer, and dissolved it, she swears sh did not.   I forgive her.

A Pudgy Dictator's Illusions

Too bad Australia isn't a nuclear power.  Nor is Japan.  Nor is South Korea. That leaves it up to the US to nuke the NORKS.  We have to have a combined attack using one or two tactical nukes, plus a considerable amount of
firepower on non-nuclear military sites.

What will be the hard part won't be taking out the NORK nuclear and other military capability.  The hard part will be taking care of the starving masses who will want to head for China and S Korea.  That's what will need the greatest planning ahead of the strike.

Stu & Skoonj

As laughable as that NorK freak is, well WWI began when some nut cake assassinated an Archduke and 17 million died, and anther 20 million were casualties. When the machine gun was the most lethal weapon.

Check out Mrs. Brown's first article for American Thinker!

"A Catholic College Disses Crusaders", by Kathy Brown, Esq.

Excerpt:

Last week, Alvernia University, an ostensibly Catholic university in Reading, Pennsylvania, announced it had scuttled its teams’ “Crusader” mascot and removed the name and image of “Crusaders” from its various team and university logos. More than just the most recent casualty in the Islamic war against the West, this strikes at the very heart of Judeo-Christian culture, namely, the Crusaders!

It is not too much to say that, but for those real “holy warriors”, the West would not be the West, and indeed we'd all be chanting Allahu Akhbar five times a day with our rumps in the air and all the (genitally mutilated) women at the back of the bus. Sorry, I meant the mosque. Yes, Alvernia U. this week distinguished itself from the ranks of your everyday, run-of-the-mill quislings and topped the charts in the perfidy derby. Caving to pressure from the Muslim Students’ Association (part and parcel of the Muslim Brotherhood), Alvernia removed all references to the name and image of a “Crusader”. The replacement has yet to appear, but we may all rest assured that it will be something “diverse”, something “inclusive”, and above all something not “troublesome” or “offensive” (which was how the Crusader mascot/logo was characterized by Alvernia’s officials, for whom the great courage of those knightly Crusaders might as well be entombed with their bones). Of course, the replacement won't include any “Catholic” names. Or “Christian”, or “Jewish”. No saints need apply, and as for anything even vaguely smacking of “whiteness”, well...!

Cheers,  ST

LIKE IT'S 1861

LIKE IT'S 1861
by Skoonj

Or 1857 in India?

Published: 15 hours ago

If California declares itself a “sanctuary state,” it is saying that it is no longer obeying the laws of the United States. In other words, it has seceded from the nation, just as surely as Southern states seceded from the Union in 1861.

President Trump will have no choice but to treat California as President Lincoln treated the secessionist South in 1861. He will send federal forces into Sacramento to seize the Capitol and take the governor into custody. He must federalize the California National Guard, as Eisenhower did in the South during the school-segregation crisis. He will require the resignation of every mayor, sheriff and police chief who signed on to the sanctuary state and who refused to carry out the duties of their offices. Any who do not resign will be taken into federal custody.

No federal funding will go to California until a new government is installed. Any physical resistance will be met with force. Any other state contemplating sanctuary status must be given an object lesson of what will become of them.

By the way, once California has been declared to be in a state of secession, its entire congressional delegation, including both senators (both Democrats, by the way), will not be able to vote in Congress. The precedent was set during and after the Civil War. Any other states with delusions of grandeur may want to consider that.

It seems skoonj has been channeling me.  Had the very thing in my memory queue

OBAMA'S LAST LIES?

The deal that Obama made with Iran ...

They Clapped while They Took
Jerusalem
Away  from the Jews

The deal that Obama made with Iran, a deal that facilitates their ability to fulfill their wish of shooting nuclear warheads into the heartland of Israel, was made possible by the consent of the many Jewish Senators who had the ability to stop this dreadful potential Holocaust by simply voting against the measure. They did not.

Barry Farber's current column in World Net Daily [http://www.wnd.com/2017/01/who-needs-the-u-n/] makes the case that the U.N. (despite its lofty ideals) is worse than useless, and that the U.S. should renounce its membership and evict the U.N. from NYC (an idea long-espoused by the John Birch Society, which group needs to be viewed apart from the way it's been demonized by Leftist
propaganda).

As if there weren't already enough reason to condemn the U.N., stop funding it and get the hell out, the cheering reaction of its members to the passage of the recent anti-Israel resolution provides even more rationale for that course of action.

ST

By Rabbi Aryeh Spero
Normally, when the U.N. Security Council passes a resolution, a vote is taken and the result recorded. Period.  Something very unusual happened after the Security Council voted to declare Jerusalem and Judea and Samaria as Arab/Islamic land. The representatives of the nations applauded and celebrated what they had just done by giving themselves a standing ovation. They clapped not so much in behalf of what they gave to “Palestinians” but more so in declaring the Jewish tie to the Old City of Jerusalem as illegitimate and Israel’s attachment to the Temple Mount and Judea and Samaria as illegal.
Rahm Emmanuel and David Axelrod were his chief strategists in the early years when the war against Netanyahu and Israel was launched by the White House. Wendy Sherman was his chief negotiator for the Iran Deal and Jack Lew was a chief advisor and, later, the Treasurer who figured out how to release the billions of dollars to the mullahs of Iran while convincing the Jewish community that “the Deal with Iran was in the best interest of Israel.”
It was a celebration by too many of the nations of the world against the history of the Jewish People and their Covenant to the Holy Land. It was an act of anti-Semitism.

While Obama finds it easy to socialize with leftwing Jews and employ Jews to implement his agenda and articulate his transnational narratives, he does have a problem with the concept of Jewish sovereignty in those places where he feels Islam must prevail.  His idea of Judaism, as he has stated, is for the Jewish people to sacrifice its aspirations in behalf of causes he considers more important: for example, the Black cause in America and the cause of Islam worldwide… and especially the cause of “Palestinians.”

Truth is, Obama feels this way even regarding America -- that America should subsume its needs in behalf of movements and countries he deems more worthy. Obama has a strange morality.  So as to spare the honor and the good name of Islam he has refused to fight during his tenure in behalf of the millions of innocent Christians being killed by the bloody hands of radical Islamic forces, and has ignored the pain of victims of Islamic terror by focusing and sermonizing about “Islam as a religion of peace and tolerance.”

Go 'Keyser Söze' on Terrorists?

BARN ARMY TRAINING COMMAND

Will Trump Go 'Keyser Söze' On Terrorists?

Last year, Republican presidential contender Donald Trump appeared on Fox News Channel’s “Fox & Friends,” where he discussed how he would handle the threat of ISIS. He said that, against ISIS, he would even take out the families of terrorists.

WILL TRUMP GO 'KEYSER SOZE' ON TERRORISTS?
Exclusive: Lt. Col. Damian Housman pushes for Donald's 'take out their families' approach

By Lt. Col. Damian Housman

Islamic terrorism is on the march, seemingly able to strike at will. Paris saw the murder of more than 100 innocent people in 2015. The killers were members of the Islamic State. This, at a time when Euro-stupidity watches hundreds of thousands of Middle Easterners flowing into Europe. No one knows how many of these new arrivals are would-be terrorists, but the vast majority are males of military age. You couldn’t ask for a more likely group to generate large numbers of terrorists.

Europeans may be mostly docile, but many seem to have had enough. Whether there are enough to actually stop the migration or even turn it away is hard to see just yet.

On the heels of the Islamist attack in Paris came the attack in San Bernardino, California. Need I point out that the murderers were Muslims? More recently, truck attacks in France and Germany. And the Russian ambassador to Turkey was assassinated by a (Turkish) member of the police team protecting him, who shouted “Allahu Akhbar!”

That tactic is, in effect, the vendetta. Its premise is that retribution for the acts committed by an individual shall not be limited to that individual, but shall be visited on those closest to him as well. It isn’t limited to the Mafia or the Hatfields and McCoys.
Every religion has its hotheads. But what do other Christians do when they see a Christian hothead “acting out” today? By acting out I mean acting in a threatening way, especially toward others such as Arabs or Jews. In general, when one Christian acts out, others tend to stop him.

What happens in any Islamic country when Abdullah gets feeling ultra-Muslim and burns an American flag on his lawn and screams about President Trump and the Jews? What would his neighbors do? His neighbors may join him, not try to stop him.

What about clerics? Christian clerics will always counsel peace and brotherhood. Jewish rabbis are the same. Muslim clerics, we are discovering (and this seems to be a worldwide phenomenon), counsel violence against non-Muslims.

Islam has been a warlike, conquering religion from the start. Calling it a “religion of peace” is a complete misreading of its history, even back to the days of Muhammad. It was Muhammad who compelled the surrender of the Jewish Bani Qurayza tribe. After a show trial, all the men of the tribe were beheaded. The women and children were taken as slaves and given to the men of Muhammad. Rather than being an unusual event, this was an example of what we would see ever since.

Prior to 1978, the shah sat upon the Peacock Throne of Iran. Thanks to Jimmy Carter, the Ayatollah Khomeini was allowed to take power in Iran. A nation that was friendly toward America and the West, which had excellent relations with Israel, which even had Israeli instructor pilots helping its air force, became the linchpin of the axis of evil. It is now a principal financier and training ground for anti-Israeli, anti-American and anti-Western terrorist groups. Before the war against terrorism is over, we will have to deal with Iran. And now we will have to deal with a nuclear-armed Iran. In the meantime, Iran supplies the philosophical and financial backing for most of the Islamic terrorism in the world today.

I credit the jihadist for possessing certain elements of courage. Though his tactics are cowardly, he does have the courage of his convictions and the courage to face the consequences of his actions. This surprises some Americans, but it shouldn’t. We faced the same thing during World War II. Japanese Kamikaze pilots intentionally rammed their aircraft and themselves into American warships for a period of several months near the end of the war. So why is there surprise at suicidal terrorists?

Over the last three decades, American presidents have pursued a legalistic approach to those who commit terrorist acts against American interests. They want to “bring them to justice”: Find out which terrorist did it, arrest him anywhere he may be in the world, bring him to America, put him on trial, try to convict him, and imprison him.

The problem is that if we arrest every terrorist who commits or even plans an act of terror against us, or even kill them, we will still not be rid of the problem. The terrorists understand the penalty for getting caught and figure on martyrdom and 72 virgins. Knocking them off piecemeal won’t end it.

Terrorists have to come to terms with only their own martyrdom or imprisonment, which they accept, because they know they are dealing with a civilized opponent. In the 1940s, Gandhi engaged in a campaign of civil disobedience against British authorities for the independence of India. He knew he could get away with it because he was facing a civilized opponent. What would have happened to him if he had done the same thing against the Soviet Union or the Red Chinese? Would we ever have heard of Gandhi?

When an ISIS terrorist is captured he sits in jail, expecting prison or death. He has already made his peace with Allah. Ah, but what if he now hears that someone has kidnapped his sister? And what if, a few days later, her mutilated body turns up at the local dump or on his doorstep? Now that terrorist may rethink his chosen career, since his family has suffered for it.

Another ISIS terrorist is captured. And his brother suddenly disappears from home or the street; a week later his body turns up. Now the terrorist wonders if it was wise to risk his family for his choice of life as a terrorist.

In Israel, the homes of captured or killed terrorists are destroyed, and the families must move elsewhere. Recently, the father of a terrorist turned in his son, because he didn’t want to lose his home. Action against the families of terrorists works.

Last year, Republican presidential contender Donald Trump appeared on Fox News Channel’s “Fox & Friends,” where he discussed how he would handle the threat of ISIS. He said that, against ISIS, he would even take out the families of terrorists.

“[I]t’s a horrible thing. They’re using them as shields. But we’re fighting a very politically correct war,” he said. “And the other thing is, with the terrorists, you have to take out their families. When you get these terrorists, you have to take out their families. They care about their lives; don’t kid yourself. But they say they don’t care about their lives. You have to take out their families.”

This observation by Trump is highly insightful and inciteful. It’s the only thing that works against terrorists. Their families support them, and are often compensated when their terrorist kid dies. Islamic clerics support them in terrorism, unlike Christian or Jewish clerics. When you catch or kill a terrorist, you must make their family pay as well. Do it just a few times, and families will be less willing to let their kids die for Allah. Finally, one American gets it (unlike Bush, Clinton and Obama, who fight wars the way liberals always have).

That tactic is, in effect, the vendetta. Its premise is that retribution for the acts committed by an individual shall not be limited to that individual, but shall be visited on those closest to him as well. It isn’t limited to the Mafia or the Hatfields and McCoys.
There is precedent: While several Americans were being kidnapped in Lebanon in the 1980s, President Reagan was wringing his hands. He decided on a poor course of action in response: Iran-Contra. Meanwhile, one Soviet citizen was kidnapped there. Soon after, a relative of an instigating Lebanese cleric was taken captive by Soviet agents. He and his sexual organs were soon returned, separately. The message was sent and was received, and there were no further kidnappings of Soviets in Lebanon.

The assassination of the Russian ambassador to Turkey brings up some interesting possibilities in the war on terrorists. That same day there were rumors that Russian troops had been instructed not to take prisoners in the war in Syria. Also, there was some allusion to cutting off sexual organs of enemy fighters caught. Dealing harshly, not politically correctly, with terrorists is in the Russian character. If they say they will do something, they aren’t going to analyze themselves to death. They will just do it. It used to be in our character as well.

Donald Trump has alluded to having a “secret plan” to defeat ISIS. When pressed to reveal it, he – understandably – said that he, unlike Barack Obama, didn’t care to inform the enemy of what to expect.

Nevertheless, it’s only natural for us to wonder what Trump’s plan would entail, and the strategy and tactics he might employ. Especially after his previous comment about needing to take out the families of terrorists as well as the terrorist himself.

There is one tactic that, since time immemorial, has served as an effective deterrent against those who would deliberately seek to harm others. And it’s a tactic that could be a significant part of an effective plan to defeat ISIS or any other terrorist entity.

That tactic is, in effect, the vendetta. Its premise is that retribution for the acts committed by an individual shall not be limited to that individual, but shall be visited on those closest to him as well. It isn’t limited to the Mafia or the Hatfields and McCoys.

Probably the greatest example in popular culture is from the1995 film “The Usual Suspects.” It describes how Keyser Soze became a mythical figure of vengeance after his own wife and family were killed [*Ed]. Think of him as Paul Kersey (the character played by Charles Bronson in the “Death Wish” films) on steroids.

“He waits until his wife and kids are in the ground and then he goes after the rest of the mob. He kills their kids, he kills their wives, he kills their parents and their parents’ friends. He burns down the houses they live in and the stores they work in; he kills people that owe them money.”

No matter how much of a wild-eyed jihadist suicide attacker you might be, bent on slaying as many infidels as possible before going to meet your blood-soaked moon god and receive your reward of multiple virgins to defile, wouldn’t it give you pause to know that your family back here on earth – your brothers and sisters, your parents, your cousins and your little nieces and nephews, maybe even their friends – would be obliterated with extreme prejudice in retribution?

But Donald Trump, when president, may have what it takes to implement a policy that takes it even further. His words of a year ago (“You have to take out their families”) may be the clue: We need to go Keyser Söze on them.

America once knew how to win wars. We won World War II. Nuclear weapons flattened two Japanese cities, and firebombs largely destroyed Tokyo. A lot of people died, including many non-combatants. It ended the war. The liberal way of fighting politically correct war has been demonstrated not to work. To win a war, you must do the things that kill the enemy, demoralize the enemy and make the enemy stop fighting. Donald Trump (who never served in uniform but who attended a military academy and has plenty of experience in how the world really works) understands that.

Lt. Col. Damian Housman, USAF (Retired) flew as a navigator in C-141s and a weapons systems officer in F-4s, and has been all over the world. His civilian credits include public affairs work for the Air Force, the Army, and for local law enforcement, and he has worked for a Washington PR firm. He is a former field editor of International Combat Arms.

Skoonj's article (published by WND) is the most exciting, thought provoking idea I've yet seen on the subject of Islamic terrorism. I must also say that I'm unsettled by it, to a degree.  On the one hand, it would be a radical departure for an America President to openly go "Keyser Söze." But, is it? We have been governed for the past eight years by the head of the Hungarian Mafia, and are brought almost to our knees by him.  Bottom line- I would absolutely support such an initiative, while saying the Rosary the whole time'

[*Ed] Söze's legendary persona is born when rival Hungarian smugglers invade his house while he is away, rape his wife, and hold his children hostage; when Söze arrives, they kill one of his children and demand he surrender his business. Instead, Söze kills his own family and all but one of the Hungarians, who he knows will tell the Mafia what has happened. Once his family is buried, Söze targets the Hungarian Mafia, their families, friends, and people who owe them money. He goes underground, never again doing business in person. (Wiki)

So three guys ...

Jesus, Buddha and Mohammed have a management meeting in heaven to discuss how to control world population.

Jesus says, "Another big earthquake then, Gents?"

Mohammed says, "Nah, just kill all the infidels."

Buddha says, "Don't kill anyone; we must love all living beings, except pedophiles!"

Jesus says, "OK, let's just kill all the pedophiles!"

Mohammed says, "There you go again Jesus, wanting to wipe out all the Muslims!"

[Wait a minute! Mohammed is in heaven?? Oh, I forgot that a joke usually depends on a suspension of disbelief.]
