Pulling Pork

Stuff that works
Slow Cooker

Boned Jello

(Rollover for ceramic insert)

This is a celebration of stuff that works cheap. A few years ago my sister-in-law Toni Baloney gave us this slow cooker for Christmas.  We used to have one of those round Rival crock pots, but only used it once or twice.  Anyway, about a year later I began using it; makes the best whole chicken ever, and I discover new uses all the time.  But, first,  it meets all my requrements for any kitchen electronics.
  • No digital controls
  • No digital displays
  • Off and on switch only, with optional slow/ fast.
  • Sturdy
  • Easily cleaned
Everything  in our kitchen meets those standards (dishwasher, compactor, cooling machines),  except the microwave  dammit.  Anyway,  here's what this is really about.  I wanted to make some pulled pork, because I don't like that mushy pork BBQ they sell in the food store.  Bought a 5 pound pork butt, rubbed it with  secret rub, sprinkled some liquid smoke, poured a few cups of Sweet Baby Ray's over the top, and went out to turn on the grill.  But, I was out of fuel, and wasn't about to go out again, so I pulled out the cooker.  Set it on LOW, and let it go for 13 hours.  You're looking at it.  I shredded it, in pot, with the tongs, in about 3 minutes. Is it good?  MoSup creamed her jeans, and she's a girl who knows her pork BBQ.  The ceramic pot insert is worth $30 by itself, if not more.  That baby is heavy, and cleans up in 27 seconds with just soap and water.  Doubles as a tureen too. So there you go.  JC Penny is selling it for 19.95.   You're welcome.

Jodi Lou also sent this retro look at "America Way Before the Obamunist Attack - Early Kodachrome Images" I've seen many of them before, but not all, and the narrative is value added.

Stuff besides congress that stinks

Boned Jello

It's Saturday, and we're still under the Obamunist occupation.  Remember that movie, with some Italian comic who tries to cheer everyone up in the concentration camp (that I didn't see)?  That's what I'll do today, unless I change my mind.  Say, did you hear about the asteroid that crashed into Capitol Hill?  Ha-ha, just kidding.  That would make us sad.  Here's one from Jodi Lou.

An elderly couple are attending church services.

About halfway through, she writes a note and hands it to her husband. It says, "I just let out a silent fart, what do you think I should do?"

He scribbles back , "Put a new battery in your hearing aid.."

Obama Bullshit Bingo

Boned Jello

Rules for Bullshit Bingo:
1. Before Barrack Obama's next televised speech, print your "Bullshit Bingo"
2. Check off the appropriate block when you hear one of those words/phrases.
3. When you get five blocks horizontally, vertically, or diagonally, stand up and shout "BULLSHIT!" [or
Shout out “PELOSI” (means the same thing)]

Testimonials from past satisfied "Bullshit Bingo" players:

"I had been listening to the speech for only five minutes when I won." - Jack W., Boston

"My attention span during speeches has improved dramatically." - David D.,   Florida

"What a gas! Speeches will never be the same for me after my first win." - Bill R., New York City

“The atmosphere was tense in the last speech as 14 of us waited for the fifth box." - Ben G., Denver

"The speaker was stunned as eight of us screamed "BULLSHIT!" for the third time in two hours."

Ariz. governor signs tough immigration law

"The sweeping legislation makes it a crime under state law to be in the country illegally" .Think about that redundancy, and you know it's high time.  I desperately want Arizona to stand by this righteous law, even if Obamunists decree it "unconstitutional."  Then we'll get to brass  ... .

New Meaning To The Phrase “Eat S__t”

Boned Jello

I was riding about the countryside and happened to hear Mark Steyn, subbing today for Rush, talking about poop transplants.  I thought, "good lord, that couple I talked about last Saturday may win the Nobel!"  Or .. maybe this is an example of the "string theory," where by mentioning it, I created a universe where poop swapping was a good thing?  AWK.  If so, I'll  just blow it up.Pull my finger.

Obanazi Stewart Calls It:
‘Obamacare’ Racist

Doo-Dah Doo-Dah

On Tuesday night's The Daily Show With Jon Stewart, Stewart discussed a new book, A New American Tea Party: The Counterrevolution Against Bailouts, Handouts, Reckless Spending, and More Taxes, with its author, John O’Hara. O’Hara drops the O word—"Obamacare"—several minutes into the discussion about whether the tea-party movement is or is not antigovernment.

Stewart immediately jumps on O’Hara’s slip, calling him out on using the “derogatory” phrase and firing back by referring to O’Hara’s book as a “tea-bagger book.” O’Hara stammers for a few seconds and tries to defend his word choice, but concedes to calling it the health-reform bill instead. (It’s a law, by the way.)
EXTRA BONUS ATTRACTION:
That same Obamazine (Newsweek) page contains a link to "The McVeigh Tapes." Obamunist Rachel Maddow plays tape with McVeigh discussing why he blew up a government building.  There will will necessarily be linkage to the Tea Party.

Muhammad South Park clip

Viacom/Comedy Central
respond not to decency, but
threats ... .

One final thing that bugged me about Comedy Central censoring all mention of "Muhammed" in last night's South Park.  While creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone have no respect for anybody, the network yields only to threats from Islamo MoFos.  The "beeps" mean Muhammed's name was spoken, but as you can see, the closed caption guys didn't get the message.  Watch the segue from Muhammed, to Buddha snorting coke, and accusing Jesus of having an Internet porn prollem.  Didn't bother anybody at Viacom a bit.

Never have that mess again ...

HELP ME!

My god but we're a clumsy bunch of jack-a-napes! I was hoping to find the very best of this ilk; one I've been trying to capture for several years.  The commercial is for a portable sewing machine piece of crap, and the money shot has the clumsy homemaker holding a corded Singer sewing machine up to her drapery, trying to stitch a seam, or something.  I know you've seen it.  Anyway, this is a fun walk in that same neighborhood.

Kay Hagen - EGAD!

NC Senator Kay Hagan refuses to answer
how HC Mandate is Constitutional

Sen.Kay Hagen (NC ACORN) is a pistol.  She benefited more from ACORN's work on her behalf than did Al Franken in Minnesota. She holds Town Hall meetings on Obamacare in  --- Washington D.C.?!?. And she's as good a conman what ever sold bibles to widows in North Carolina. She's damned lucky not to face reelection this year.  Listen to her responses when asked where in the U.S. Constitution it says North Carolina citizens can be forced to buy ANYTHING?

The ironic valediction is my favorite part of the clip. Hagan talks about the necessity of providing “financial literacy” to students in a run-on sentence that defies diagramming, all while resolutely refusing to expose her illiteracy of Constitutional theory and practice. If the entire display wasn’t so depressing, I’d be laughing, too. (Hot Air)

Having not seen his wife for several months, he was looking forward to a night of hot passionate sex with her.

Unfortunately, she came out of the shower with a towel wrapped round her head..... and he shot her!!

South Park Censored Again

Now "South Park" can't even say the words "Prophet Muhammad."

After last week's episode of the Comedy Central series sparked a threat (and yes, it was certainly a threat) from a radical Islamic website, the network has cracked-down-for-their-own-good on creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone during last night's continuation of the show's storyline.

Last night, "South Park" continued the controversial Muhammad storyline, but with a key difference: every instance of the words "Prophet Muhammad" was bleeped out, making the episode practically incomprehensible, especially to anybody who missed the previous week.

The character of Muhammad was once again also hidden from view, covered by a large block labeled "censored."  [South Park Studios response]

Comedy Central is owned by lefty Via Com, so it is not surprising that they'd fold like a bad poker hand in the face of threats to their sorry asses.  A few years ago, when South Park first attempted to show Muhammad, the network censored it, claiming it was "because they're religiously tolerant"

"No you're not," Stone retorted. "You're afraid of getting blown up. That's what you're afraid of. Comedy Central copped to that, you know: 'We're afraid of getting blown up.'"
