... simply “involved” with “justice,”

Obama doesn’t think rapists, armed robbers, drug dealers are criminals

It’s only May, but I think I’ve found the euphemism of  the year: According to Team Obama, criminals should now be declared “justice-involved individuals.”

The neo-Orwellianism comes to us from the bizarre flurry of last-minute diktats, regulations and bone-chilling threats collectively known to fanboys as Obama’s Gorgeous Goodbye.

In another of those smiley-faced, but deeply sinister, “Dear Colleague” letters sent to universities and colleges this week, Obama’s Education Secretary John King discouraged colleges from asking applicants whether they were convicted criminals.

So rapists, burglars, armed robbers and drug dealers aren’t criminals anymore. These folks are simply “involved” with “justice,” according to Obamanoids.
An accompanying pamphlet was called “Beyond the Box: Increasing Access to Higher Education for Justice-Involved Individuals.”

So rapists, burglars, armed robbers and drug dealers aren’t criminals anymore. These folks are simply “involved” with “justice,” according to Obamanoids.

Maybe they’re right: “Criminals” is an inherently disparaging term that leads to stigmatization and decreased access to Eugene O’Neill seminars. But don’t we need to retroactively reconfigure how we think of those unfortunate souls who found themselves pursued by harsh enforcers of restrictive behavioral norms?

When you think about it, Jack the Ripper was merely a “cutlery-involved individual” while Jeffrey Dahmer was simply an “unconventional dietary-options-involved individual.” (continued)

Colleges generally ask whether applicants have criminal records, and for excellent reason.

This guy really is from another planet.  Has to be.

Douchebag of the Week Millennium
Barry Bahamas

“I mean, I say this every time we’ve got one of these mass shootings: this just doesn’t happen in other countries.”

Obama was talking about the heinous murders that took place last week in Colorado Springs when he made that ridiculous assertion. I would like to once again note that he was speaking from Paris. The one in France. The country in Europe. You may have heard about it recently.

HOT AIR MACHINE

BROCK-"I AM THE BEST"

O.K.  At a political fundraiser in L.A. last nite, Soetoro said this:

“I will tell you at this moment in history, the choices are stark. And facts, evidence and values are on our side. And the other side has gone off the deep end. And what you’re witnessing in the House fight right now is that even deeply conservative folks are not considered ideologically pure enough and we would rather burn the House down than admit the possibility of democratic process that requires compromise.”

Amazingly, after accusing the GOP of going "off the deep end," he also said this:  “There’s almost no measure by which we’re not better off now than when I came into office.”

I am friggin speechless.  I mean, I know it's a fundraiser, which means he's going to spread the bullshit wide, deep, and frequent, but that statement is the pinnacle of crock.  It makes hyperbole look like humility and balderdash look like scripture.

Mo Sup jtold me she heard Obama say he was one of our (the?) greatest presidents.  There is some serious psychosis going on with this guy.  But, we knew that.

When Chairman Barry speaks:

      OBAMUNISM, The Party
,

QUOTATIONS FROM CHAIRMAN BARRY

SCOTT JOHNSON's  delightful history of the "Chairman Mao" quotation genre, including one I'd never heard of, "Quotation from Chairman JBJ." Here's a sample, without the links.

We’re well past the time when the form should be resurrected for President Obama. David Boze took a worthy pass at such a project with The Little Red Book of Obamunism (2012) but earlier posts in this series demonstrate the need for something comprehensive and updated.

The White House has now posted the transcript of President Obama’s remarks on immigration in Chicago this past Tuesday. The speech gives us some truly quotable quotes to be included in Quotations from Chairman Barry.

Here is the chairman warming to his subject:

If you go to — I was just traveling in Asia — you go to Japan, they don’t have problems with certain folks being discriminated against because mostly everybody is Japanese. (Laughter.) You know? But here, part of what’s wonderful about America is also what makes our democracy hard sometimes, because sometimes we get attached to our particular tribe, our particular race, our particular religion, and then we start treating other folks differently.

Now this could (and should) lead to a profound meditation on Americanization and the American idea, but Obama’s promotion of immigration assaults them as well as the sovereignty of the American people. Thus Obama continues with this gem for our anthology:

And that [tribalism], sometimes, has been a bottleneck to how we think about immigration. If you look at the history of immigration in this country, each successive wave, there have been periods where the folks who were already here suddenly say, well, I don’t want those folks. Even though the only people who have the right to say that are some Native Americans. (Applause.)

Don’t bottleneck me, bro!

In this reading, the American people have lost the right to control immigration in their own interests. Bill Voegeli has a timely discussion of the train of thought implicit in Obama’s remarks in his essay “Left, Right and Human” in the current issue of the Claremont Review of Books (currently accessible to subscribers only). Bill writes in part on this point: “From the liberal premise that differences between people are merely superficial, it follows that there are no compelling moral reasons to exclude people from around the world who would prefer to live here, not elsewhere. Who’s to say, after all, that that their ways are worse than our ways? By what right must they change just so we can feel more comfortable? An immigration policy compliant with liberal sensibilities does as little as possible to exclude people who want to come here, and then asks as little as possible of people who want to stay.” To the standard liberal mix described by Voegeli, Obama adds malice toward the American idea and the American people.

Obama’s Chicago speech also gave us his unscripted confirmation of what we have been saying about his royal decree regularizing the status of millions of illegal aliens contrary to the law of the land. Obama had previously asserted some twenty-plus times that he lacked the constitutional authority to alter immigration law unilaterally precisely as he has now done. In response to a heckler chiding him for not doing enough on behalf of the population of illegal aliens, Obama asserted:

[W]hat you’re not paying attention to is the fact that I just took action to change the law. (Applause.) So that’s point number one.

“That’s point number one,” indeed. Earlier this week David Rivkin and Elizabeth Foley elaborated on the illegality of Obama’s “action to change the law” in “Obama’s immigration enablers” (subscribers only, but accessible via Google here).

A coherent Obama

Camp David Victory?

I am DEFINITELY not an Obama fan but I must say this is very impressive.  Give it a look and a listen.

The attached Obama short speech was delivered spontaneously and without the aid of his ubiquitous teleprompter, apparently while vacationing at Camp David.

Listen carefully to his words.
Give credit where credit is due, he actually makes more sense than anything he has said as President and prior to that while on the campaign trail, and it clearly defines his real international concerns and plans for the Middle East, Russia, China and the EU.
P.S. He also looks much better without the TV makeup!

Stupid Words from a Silly Man

When Democrats are in charge

Obama: 'Raising the Debt Ceiling...Does Not Increase Our Debt,'

The lowest common denominator is either growing,  or this guy is sinking rapidly into that state named Delusion.  Let's hope things do not progress into the Woody Wilson stage— where a Non compos mentis presidency was kept alive by wife Edith making decisions in his name—!  Can we survive a "President MooChelle too?"

I know, that's begging the question."  The real story, of course, is that Democrats have obviously identified that this message will pass muster with a majority of  American citize, er, voters.

Hollywood Pisses on Teh One

HLLYWD

Even Euros Are Protesting (This one from Spain)

Internet sites on their SOPA-Strike may be conducting a blackout but Hollywood studios are conducting a boycott. I’ve learned that Hollywood studio chiefs individually and as a group are drawing a line in the sand on the piracy issue with the Obama re-election campaign and refusing to give any more donations.  The blowup came after President Obama on Saturday dashed moguls’ hopes that he would remain on the sidelines in the dispute over the U.S. House Of Representatives’ Stop Online Piracy Act and the U.S. Senate’s Protect IP Act. - Deadline Hollywood

When his Council on Jobs and Competitiveness proposed " many ideas that are considered to be conservative in nature, including several that have already passed in the Republican-controlled House as jobs bills," Obama demurred.  "Obviously This Year Is An Election Year," he reminded them.   Which is telling (as if we needed to be told); Obama the highly principled communist knows when to fold and when to hold.  Such is the level of popular resistance to the Hollywood and Democrat Senate's SOPA and PIPA acts,  that he was forced to fold on them.

I'm giggling like a little girl.

WYSIWYG
Just to annoy conservatives who continue to voice their displeasure about how Obama is just a Hollywood liberal and more of a star than an experienced politician, the city of Hollywood has decided to award President Barack Obama his own Hollywood Walk of Fame star.
“We are very proud to honor our first ‘star’ President with a star among the stars of other celebrities. Our goal is to defend the honor of the Hollywood ‘star’ and not allow radicals to develop a negative connotation for the word,” said a representative for the city of Hollywood.  The Sarcasmist)

Obama Says Words
Citing Auto Bailout, Gays in Military, Health Care, Obama Claims
‘Vision That Is Truest to Our History’

He then went on to cite his accomplishments in bringing the federal government to the “rescue” of the economy and the auto industry, in ending the war in Iraq, in lifting the ban on homosexuality in the military, in enacting his health-care reform plan and in bringing “some integrity to the financial sector.”  I am not making this up
