Richard Blumenthal on Sunday after he attempted to blame the GOP for the shutdown of the government over the weekend, while portraying Democrats as victims. Blumenthal, a Connecticut Democrat, stated that Republicans are in “control” of the Senate, implying that made the GOP is responsible for the shutdown. Blumenthal was probably counting on the normal liberal bias of a CNN interviewer to get away with the implication, but Blitzer quickly corrected him. In the United States Senate, a simple numerical majority doesn’t give a party complete control over a determined minority, and Blumenthal knows it. “Well, let me interrupt politely,” Blitzer said.

I've known it was a lie for a year, which is why I hate when it comes up on, say, the Podcast. What am I supposed to say? Am I supposed to pretend the GOP is going to repeal it? So they're not. They never were. It was always a lie. To get you to vote for them. We lose on the issue, so then we Have The Issue to run on. So now we should just start appreciating the Good Parts of Obamacare, because there's no sense being angry about something the Establishment has decided you can't change. In the past I was he whom Allahpundit described; the guy who shouted and snorted threats of staying home, only to allow the specter of a Leftist regime get the better of me. In June, Obama spent a “day in the life” of Erler in order to have “an opportunity to communicate directly with the people he’s working for every day.” Something that he was heavily criticized for by the Minnesota Republican Party who believed he is “so out of touch with reality that he thinks a former Democrat campaign staffer speaks for every Minnesotan,” and apparently, now every American.
