John McCain’s lack of character was further demonstrated when he voted not to repeal Obamacare.  He ran his 2016 Senatorial race under the banner he would lead the fight to repeal Obamacare!  But, he hates Donald Trump so very much ..  [...] John McCain was a far more interesting, colorful and controversial man than most Americans and no journalists know.   If you saw the Sunday political shows you would think a saint had passed on.  John McCain was a man driven by two ghosts:  His father and grandfather.  Both were four-star Admirals in the US Navy so John’s appointment to the US Naval Academy was his destiny, but John McCain graduated 894th in his class of 899 students. He was known for being wild, chasing young women.  He was in a student group calling themselves “The Bad Bunch.” John married Carol Shepp, a swimsuit model who had been married to one of his classmates with whom she had two children. She and McCain were parents of a daughter in that marriage.  At heart a playboy, John was soon bored with domestic life and as advancement was more likely in the military services in combat he requested active duty in Vietnam. While there Carol faithfully stayed at home looking after the children. His plane was shot down in 1967 when he ignored mission instructions to stay above 15,000 feet he went “down on the deck” and was shot down, survived and became a Prisoner Of War, POW. [...] His father and grandfather were both decorated Navy Admirals. He was given special privileges and extreme preferential treatment while he served in the Navy. He was a pilot but according to his colleagues, he was a very bad pilot. He actually crashed three planes. There was a horrendous incident that happened on his aircraft carrier, the U.S.S. Forrestal, that killed 134 men. There has been a rolling debate since the incident and some are convinced John McCain was responsible. Witnesses reported McCain attempted a “wet start.”  When a pilot wants to be a show-off, with a “wet start” his engine start creates a large startling flame and lots of surprise noise from the rear of a jet engine on startup. McCain did the “Wet Start.”  The flames torched the launch of a Zuni rocket on the plane behind him.  Zuni rockets were notorious for problems. It shot across the carrier’s deck hitting other parked planes that were packing 1,000 high-explosive pound bombs which exploded.  Destruction and fire went several decks below and nearly sunk this major 82,000 ton U.S. aircraft carrier. This stunt caused the death of 134 sailors and blew off arms, legs, and caused blindness and burns to another 161 sailors. McCain jumped from his plane, rolled across the flames, and escaped. He watched the men dying and the burning from a closed circuit television on the ship. The ship off line for two years in port for $76 million dollars of major repairs, not including the cost of the airplanes or ammunition.  Any other Navy pilots causing this type of death and destruction would have been arrested and still be in prison, but not John McCain III .... There is much more I'm late with this—and other things— but for the past week I've been too filled with hatre ... dissatisfaction for the filthy Left to discuss anything rationally.  As regard the late John McCain, even though he was a self serving bag of shite, as a Catholic he knew that by asking forgiveness of God he could avoid an eternity in Hell.  However, it seems that he was so filled with matters like instructing that Sarah Palin not be allowed at his funeral services to  save his sorry ass.   Spit

Senator John McCain Demands “Act of War” Against Russia… (Via Reuters) […]  Republican John McCain, chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee, said on Friday that Russia must face a penalty for the cyber attacks and that is was possible to impose many sanctions. “When you attack a country, it’s an act of war,” McCain said in an interview with the Ukrainian TV channel “1+1” while on a visit to Kiev. Blah-Blah-Blah I think I speak for the greater nation that hoped the McCain-Palin ticket had won 2008.  Not just because it would have spared us the near demolishing of the Republic by the Kenyan; but because there was reason to hope the sonabitch would soon die in office and leave us with a potentially great President Palin. And, because he's unhinged.  Anyway, can somebody tell me what it was the Russians did with the "cyber attacks."  And, has any proof of said attack been shown?  And, even if Putin did somehow arrange for the Hillary-Podesta e-mails, illegally saved on an illegal cell phone, to surface, is he claiming they were counterfeit?  No?  Then, if the Russians did what he sad they did, shouldn't he be promoting a Medal of Honor for Putin?  For saving us from the final disaster,  a Hillary White House?

The festering carbuncle that is today's GOP festers on, only more. [...] In other words, as many Republicans think McCain is a douche as are supporting Jeb Bush + Ben Carson. In fact, more Republicans think McCain is a douche than actually support Trump. Half may disagree but half either agree or don’t care enough to have an opinion. Before we go any further… I am not a Trump supporter. But I do agree with Erick, that if he is the nominee I will support him and do so more enthusiastically than I did either McCain or Romney. This result should scare the bejeezus out of a lot of people… some of my colleagues among them. It should really be a wake-up call to GOP donors and apparatchiks who are trying to use mean-girl tactics learned in the middle school bathroom to hurt Trump: “ Many national Republican officials are increasingly resigned to Mr. Trump’s looming presence. At a meeting of the Republican Governors Association this week in Aspen, Colo., donors and operatives mused about how to prevent him from hijacking the debate. Marco Rubio (R-FL) 91% of Florida — to band together and state that they would not participate in any debate in which Mr. Trump was present, using his refusal to rule out a third-party bid as a pretext for taking such a hard line. The thinking, according to a Republican involved in the conversations, was that the lesser-funded prospects who have been eclipsed by Mr. Trump would follow suit, and the TV networks airing the debates would be forced to bar Mr. Trump in order to have a full complement of candidates. FULL The more of these little games the GOP Establishment plays the more adamant and entrenched Trump’s support will become. It these people want to get rid of him, they need to start ignoring him or start talking about the issues he’s talking about that are drawing crowds. And if they don’t want him to run as a third party candidate they had better lay off these shenanigans and try to win the primary on their own merits. You don’t even need to be a Trump supporter to be in favor of that.

On the Bizarre-O-Meter, Jewish support for Obama makes the needle disappear.  So maybe those 76% projections are nuts, as this report could indicate. “ [NRO] Within the last hour, the first exit poll of 817 Americans in Israel, who attended U.S. election voting events in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv on Tuesday evening to vote by absentee ballot, has been released. A startling 76 percent of those polled said that they had voted for John McCain. This contrasts sharply with pre-election polls of American Jews in the U.S., which indicate a strong preference for Obama. The exit poll findings of American voters in Israel are all the more surprising because less than one in four were registered Republicans, and 46% of registered Democrats living in Israel said they had crossed party lines to vote McCain. By contrast, the Republican crossover to Obama was minimal – just 2%. The votes are significant as almost half of the 42,000 registered U.S. voters living in Israel come from key swing states including Florida, Ohio and Pennsylvania. In the 2000 and 2004 elections, Israel had the third-largest group of American voters abroad, after Canada and Britain. The Corner's  Kathryn Jean Lopez is a personal bellwether, so it was to her that I turned this morning, hoping to learn that my initial fears  -  that caused me to throw McCain from my living room 3 minutes into the debate - were unfounded.  “ This is a fuller elucidation of what a lot of people are e-mailing me:     Kathryn, love your articles, you seem to have the pulse of the country much more than most. McCain kissed it away tonight. Without some unforeseen event, he will lose by about 6-8 points and assure a Democratic majority in the Congress and the Senate, although I still think the Republicans will hold onto about 42 seats or so in the Senate, although with Snowe and others, I’m not sure that means much. However, he has created the future and maybe that was his role in everything. The same way that Ford created Reagan by allowing Carter to win with his bad debate performance, I think McCain has created our future with Palin. Her instincts and idealogy with 4 more years of experience coupled with an Obama Administration (ala Carter) will lead to a conservative revival which hopefully, at 43 years old, will be the last one that I have to experience in my life. The next 4 years are going to be brutal, although hopefully, the Democrats will overreach during the first two years and usher in Republicans to the House and Senate that understand the mistakes of the past and start acting like Republicans. With Gov. Jindall, Gov. Palin and Gov. Romney (who I voted for in the primary in Georgia, because I saw this coming, and I loved Gov. Romney’s message), the Republicans will be reborn. We, as a party, need to say never again to moderate, old Senators, or even VP’s (see Dole, McCain and Bush 1) and start putting forward young, energetic and idea driven governors. They have executive experience, ideas and the ability to communicate the ideals that make our party great. I hate that we have to go through the next 4 years with Obama at the helm. We will be tested severely by every adversary we have in the world and Obama’s instinct to talk and negotiate above every other action will serve us terribly.     My family and I will suffer serious financial hardship over the next 4 years. Obama has no understanding of those of us who work 80 hour weeks, spend countless nights away from our families to provide a good life for them and aren’t some notorious CEO’s ( could that guy from Lehman be a bigger idiot?).Gov. Romney’s speech at CPAC and Gov. Palin in this campaign are the only two people that I have seen that speak to us who bust our backsides to support our family, don’t want Government to give us anything and understand what we are all about.     It is time for the younger conservatives to rise up, take control of our party and start expelling the idiots like [continued] ” While KJL obviously knows those sentiments, she channels me and issues a demurrer.  She will not roll over and quit. “ I'm not there. McCain moment  last night, but a few verged. “ MCCAIN: Well -- well, let me give you an example of what Senator Obama finds objectionable, the business tax. Right now, the United States of American business pays the second-highest business taxes in the world, 35 percent. Ireland pays 11 percent. Now, if you're a business person, and you can locate any place in the world, then, obviously, if you go to the country where it's 11 percent tax versus 35 percent, you're going to be able to create jobs, increase your business, make more investment, et cetera. ” There were several "YOU STUPID MFCSMF" moments when Obama was responding.   Here was one ... “ OBAMA:  Just one last point I want to make, since Senator McCain talked about providing a $5,000 health credit. Now, what he doesn't tell you is that he intends to, for the first time in history, tax health benefits. So you may end up getting a $5,000 tax credit. Here's the only problem: Your employer now has to pay taxes on the health care that you're getting from your employer. And if you end up losing your health care from your employer, you've got to go out on the open market and try to buy it. ” What a great concept! Didn't we do that once?  Everyone  going to the markets for their health care would mean competition, and lower cost. A concept utterly lost on Obamanation.  And how many of Obama's statements were entirely devoid of falsehood?  Maybe the eight times he said "Well, Senator McCain is absolutely right."  But that's not what I was gonna talk about.  This is. The left have been using the prospect of McCain dying in office as a scare tactic (my graphic is a screen cap from this College Humor home movie).  First, guess whose mother was alive and attended her son's nomination ceremony?  Hint: It wasn't Obama's. Second.   That sort of reasoning only serves to make this a Palin-Obama race, and puts a huge emphasis on the Palin-Biden  vice-presidential debate.  Not what Democrats want, I'll assure you.

McCain announced he was suspending his campaign and possibly postponing a presidential debate in order to get to Washington to work on the bill.  "It appears to me John McCain is trying to divert attention to his failing campaign," Reid said during a press conference Wednesday.  Reid indicated Thursday that he will not hold any votes in the Senate on Friday so McCain has “no excuses” to skip the debate scheduled for that day. Town Hall    ”   Obama is a platitudinous pop-tart, and ought not have a chance against McCain debating this issue. But, his financial acumen is on a par with my own, and the media are lined up to attack him no matter what he says. The answer is  "Straight Talk Express."  It's here that Sarah Palin can come to his rescue for a second time.  If she independently gets off the "fat cat Wall Street" bus, and assaults the democrats, and the media for covering for them, listing the string of Democrat failure,  and complicity in setting the climate for the free-for-all credit debacle, she forces his hand. George Will' says McCain Loses His Head.  Duh.  McCain, deserves the smackdown for his wretched behavior during the financial crisis, -- which almost identically mirrors Obama's own, but not as bad, and McCain can rant without a script.  In fact,  McCain blaming Chris Cox is nearly as egregiously stupid as Will himself inferring  that the only impediment to a successful  Obama presidency is inexperience. Maybe someone will pen "Will Loses His Head." The lefty blogs of course are going bananas with Will quotations, which they largely misread  and distort.  Here's a sample: “ Has George Will ever opposed any Republican nominee before? I don't think so. But in today's Washington Post, the most influential conservative columnist of them all addresses the main reason McCain should not be President. His temperament. Will views McCain as an intemperate hothead, an irrational rager, a scapegoater, and a hater. ” This guy is also uninformed, and dead wrong. George Will, "the most influential conservative columnist of them all?"  Not even close. He's three pickles removed from being a RINO burger. Has George Will "ever opposed any Republican nominee before?"  Yup.  George Herbert Walker Bush, whom he referred to as Reagan's lap dog.

My first take when I saw this earlier was Alexander "I'm in charge here" Haig.  Just for a second.  It was McCain, obviously not photographed by an admirer, but I didn't yet know the story behind it. The more I looked at it, the more I saw some  merit in presenting McCain as the stern enforcer.  It could have appeal to voters who want someone tough in the White House, or peeps into kinky sex. That would be a kick in Atlantic's ass, eh wot?  On the order of The New Yorker's Obama cover Islamo Terrorists backfire. Either way, the left media are green snot.
