traitor's webb

Go to Hell
Obama is the first US president who was raised without cultural or emotional or intellectual ties to either Britain or Europe. The British and the Europeans have been so enchanted with  'America's first black president' that they haven't been able to see what he really is: America's first Third World president.

James Webb

I have a difficult time making this philosophical case: Obama violated his allegiance toward his country by consciously and purposely acting to aid its enemies (the principle definition for treason.)  Even if you don't question his very claim to citizenship, as I do, Obama's cultural ties to this nation he titularly heads are virtually non-existent.  The man's very transparent mission (open your eyes) is, always has been, to destroy the United States; to  bring us to parity with the third
James Webb
world he understands.  My vote will be to consign him to Judecca, the fourth ring of the ninth circle in Hell (Here are the traitors to their benefactors).  Legally speaking, I can make a case for summary justice, the accepted penalty for wearing the enemy's uniform during time of war. All of which is the circuitous route to my intended subject, Sen. James Webb (Virginia V)

I feel personally betrayed by Webb. Reading Amy Proctor's D-Jim Webb Proposes Cutting Military to Save Money, which takes him on for his betrayal of his homeboys, caused the bile to rise.  Then, in nearly the same breath, I read this.

One of Obama's moves early on that gave me some hope he was not a complete muppet on foreign policy, was keeping Gates on as Sec Def. That hope changed into disgust as it became apparent that all the Obama talk about taking the fight to Afghanistan was just political rhetoric. Obama was looking for a way to cut and run from Day One. Now he has placed a political tool in the role of National Security Adviser and has turned Gates into an errand boy for his plans to reap a war dividend.

Yep smack dab in the midst of an ongoing long war with the Islamists, facing increased Russian and Chinese arsenal building, and with the clock ticking toward zero on Iranian nukes, Barry O is gonna save the economy by slicing and dicing the military to bits. The peace dividend at the end of the Cold War severely hurt our over all readiness and now without even the shroud of peace, we are poised to self-emasculate our much-needed nuclear deterrent. -
[Black Five continued]

Webb isn't named, but I can see him hiding in that crowd of women and children over there. Bastid. He's an ambassador-at-large to the ninth ring.

I Guess the RNC Is Clueless

I wasn’t going to go there, but after this piece went up, I got an email from RNC Spokesman Doug Heye, who wrote:

Well Doug, I go it from you. See this Roll Call article.

This brouhaha began after Red State's Erikson posted Political Malpractice: The GOP Should Have Had Bigger House Gains.  Since I long ago decided the GOP was not only incompetent, but a subversive political force as well, I'm inclined to agree with this at face value.  After reading it however, and in light of a limited but lively discussion on my "Rove elephant kills five" post,  I'm with Erikson all the way on this.  Also, this House GOP offers freshman spot in leadership rubs me the wrong way. It should be TeaParty will allow a few establishment Republicans to remain in the leadership for administrative purposes (announced GOP chairman Sarah Palin). Too much yapping.Long Live the Revolution.

A temporary restraining order has been issued to block a state constitutional amendment that prohibits state courts from considering international or Islamic law when deciding cases.  Because, God knows, it's constitutionally self evident, and in the nation's best interest to give every half-assed interest group its own legal system.

The Bidency - Day One?

RUH ROH
Vice President Biden, under intense pressure from some Democratic Party officials and Cabinet members to invoke Article 25, Section 4 of the Constitution and have Obama temporarily or permanently removed as president because of his mental incapacity to fulfill his constitutional oath as president is reluctant to take such drastic action. Biden feels that the country would "become unglued" after such action and he doesn't want to be the one who would be responsible for "picking up the pieces," according to a source who works within Biden's office.

Some staffers have said on deep background that the revelations by the ex-White House official to "Ulsterman" are not even half of the story about what is actually occurring in the White House.

I looked this guy up.  He's a "community organizer" from New Orleans, where one can easily imagine him handing out pamphlets for the "Free Cuba Movement," ahem. A self proclaimed "anti-racist," he is of course, despite his disclaimer,  entirely racist; a likely self-loathing white man.  His web page masthead boasts an endorsement from some afrocentrist  named Molefi Kete Asante: "One of the brilliant voices of out time,"  says the Mole. Anyway, the guy sounds like a perfect candidate for membership in the Obamunist True Believer SS. To wit.
For all y’all rich folks, enjoy that champagne, or whatever fancy ass Scotch you drink.

And for y’all a bit lower on the economic scale, enjoy your Pabst Blue Ribbon, or whatever shitty ass beer you favor.

Whatever the case, and whatever your economic station, know this…

You need to drink up.

And quickly.

And heavily.

Because your time is limited.

Real damned limited.

So party while you can, but mind the increasingly loud clock ticking away in the corners of your consciousness.

The clock that reminds you how little time you and yours have left.

Not much more now.

Tock.

I know, you think you’ve taken “your country back” with this election — and of course you have always thought it was yours for the taking, cuz that’s what we white folks are bred to believe, that it’s ours, and how dare anyone else say otherwise — but you are wrong.

You have won a small battle in a larger war the meaning of which you do not remotely understand. [blah-blah-blah]

California: The Lindsay Lohan of States

Listen up, California. The other 48 states—your cousin New York excluded—are sick of your bratty arrogance. You're the Lindsay Lohan of states: a prima donna who once showed some talent but is now too wasted to do anything with it. [WSJ]

Lohan aka California

More?  YOU WANT MORE?
okay

After enjoying ephemeral highs and spending binges, you suffer crashes that culminate in brief, unsuccessful stints in rehab. This cycle repeats itself every five to 10 years, as the rest of the country looks on with a mixture of horror and amusement. We'd feel sorry for you if you didn't constantly flip us the bird.

Instead, we're making bets on how long it will be before your next meltdown. Oh, wait—you're already melting down.

You've racked up nearly $70 billion in general obligation debt, and that doesn't include your $500 billion unfunded pension liability. Your own analysts predict you'll face a hole of at least $80 billion over the next four years.

Your government's run by a brothel of environmentalists, lawyers, public-sector unions and legislative bums. When they're not taxing or spending, they're creating regulations and commissions like the Board of Barbering and Cosmetology and the California Blueberry Commission. Many businesses would leave if it weren't for your sunny climate.

Which may explain why you're so obsessed with climate change. If your climate changes, no one, including your Hollywood friends, would tolerate you anymore. So you've created a law to tax carbon emissions—no matter that it will kill jobs.  [still more ... ]
To sum up: A consensus that congress should refuse to give so much as a farthing to bail CA out of it's coming meltdown.

Rove Elephant Kills Five!

Circle of Stupid: How the NRSC and
Karl Rove Cost the GOP as Many
as Five Senate Seats

Rove Elephant Kills 5
The National Republican Senatorial Committee spent $3 million in the week before the election on the ill-fated campaign of Carly Fiorina, despite polling that showed her trailing by 9 points to the tiny Marxist Barbara Boxer (Fiorina ended up losing by… 9.8%).

In the mean time, Ken Buck lost by a tiny margin in Colorado; Nevada’s Sharron Angle lost by a similar narrow vote total, Dino Rossi was edged by Patty Murray in Washington, 27,000 votes swung the election against Christine O’Donnell in Delaware and and Joe Miller is hanging by a thread in Alaska.

In Alaska, the final results may not be known for some time, but the NRSC’s final ads actually ended up helping Lisa Murkowski in her write-in campaign against GOP nominee Joe Miller. Instead of attacking Murkowski — the candidate who most threatened the party’s nominee — the NRSC instead took aim at Democrat Scott McAdams, who had no chance of winning. Any support they drove from McAdams was far more likely to go to Murkowski than to Miller — meaning the NRSC effort probably did more harm than good for Miller’s campaign.

In other words, the NRSC’s idiocy — combined with outrageous remarks by Karl Rove on national television — likely doomed four or five true conservative candidates to extinction.

You’ve elected officials who, for partisan points, spoke openly that the “…war is lost.” I happened to be in a dining facility in Baghdad that day, filled with the (mostly) young faces of (mostly) Army men and women. CNN was on the TVs, and things got very quiet when this elected official continued on, railing that the mission that some of these very people were here to do, had “…failed.”
America at the Mall

Maj. Banzet gets very specific, and I'm certain he speaks for, not just the vast majority if military families, but the rest of us too.   Even when we're at the mall, we think of you.

  • You elected officials who continually defame and berate military members ...
  • You elected officials that promised to take property from some Americans, and give it to you, merely because they had more than you did ...
  • You elect officials who openly embrace illegal activity; but they don’t have to live with the consequences.
  • You elect officials who are openly racist, decrying that “White folks’ greed drives a world in need…” and that their own grandmother was a “…typical white person.
  • The Justice Department is now apparently, under sworn testimony, the Department of Racial Payback ...
My oath was this: “I, Mike, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God.”

I took that oath seriously. But you have responsibilities, too. You should take them seriously. [...]

FUN TIME

... what's really bad for President Obama and his party is the likely impact of the 2010 Census and ensuing House of Representatives reapportionment on the distribution of votes in the 2012 Electoral College. We can talk all day about whether a majority of voters would support Obama for re-election or not, but what really counts in presidential elections is the Electoral College. Each state's electoral vote equals its number of representatives in the House plus two, for its Senate delegation. And since the U.S. population continues to flow South and West, reapportionment will probably add House seats in red states and subtract them in blue states. Thus, the Census looks like a setback for Democratic chances to win the 270 electoral votes necessary to become president.

Texas, which has voted Republican in 9 of the last 10 elections will gain 4 electoral votes, according to projections from preliminary Census data by Polidata.com. The other gainers -- one vote each -- include Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Nevada, South Carolina and Utah. All of these states have voted for the GOP candidate in at least 7 of the last 10 elections.

To be sure, Florida and Nevada have been more up for grabs of late: Obama carried both in 2008. But [...]

I thought this a good time to reprise this post from September 2009 (and included in my "Defining Articles" list below.

Today'$  Laffer
"other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how did you like the play?"

Art Laffer's excellent column in today's WSJ  (Taxes, Depression, and Our Current Troubles ) set me in motion.  Excellent because Laffer has an ability to distill weighty economic theory down to a simple, easily digestible syrup.  While recognizing that I hardly qualify to sneer at anybody's intelligence quotient, there are two areas where I most certainly do.  Anybody promoting the notion of man caused climate change, or anybody claiming that Reagan's adherence to Laffer Curve principles was a disaster,  is too freaking stupid
Inbreeding
to be taken seriously on any matter.  These three short videos are guaranteed to confer upon the viewer a better understanding of tax policy than possessed by any elected Democrat in the nation .  Period.  Even watching  the first 3 minutes of  L1  may suffice.  Watch, and enjoy hilarity like this from L3:
Here's a real-world example. Back in 1989, I worked for Senator Bob Packwood of Oregon. As the ranking Republican on the Finance Committee, he sent a letter to the JCT, asking how much tax revenue would be raised if the government confiscated every penny of income about $200,000. What did the JCT say? On your screen, you can see Senator Packwood's November 14 floor statement in the Congressional Record.

As the Senator explained, the JCT estimated that this 100 percent tax rate would collect $104 billion in 1989, rising to $299 billion in 1993. And when Senator Packwood asked the bureaucrats whether this was realistic, they gave him the same revenue estimate, but included a footnote stating "that these estimated taxes do not account for any behavioral response." This is sort of like the fiscal equivalent of "other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how did you like the play?" (Laffer 3)

Segue California Rep. Jerry Lewis
I'd rather entrust the government of the United States to the first 400 people listed in the Boston telephone directory than to the faculty of Harvard University. William F. Buckley, Jr.

Patrick O'Connor's masterfully understated bitch-slap of  legacy GOP posterboy Rep. Jerry Lewis should, I hope, be enough to banish him to third chair in the new House orchestra.
Go along-get-along Jerry Lewis

Some Republicans will go to great lengths to prove they’ve heard the clarion call to rein in federal spending.

California Rep. Jerry Lewis, anxious to regain the chairmanship of the powerful House Appropriations Committee when Republicans return to the majority next year, embraced a bid by Arizona Rep. Jeff Flake, his conservative nemesis, to join the panel that dictates federal spending.

Messrs. Flake and Lewis once fought over money for a swimming pool in the Californian’s district. During the Republicans’ last stint in the majority, the two regularly sparred over earmarks.

But Mr. Lewis, who has since embraced a ban on those member-directed projects, needs to bolster his bona fides with fiscal conservatives to reclaim the job he held when Republicans were bounced from power in 2006, in part, for steep increases in federal spending.

Mr. Lewis needs a waiver to circumvent House Republican rules that prevent lawmakers from serving more than six years atop a committee. [....  Rep. Lewis Seeks to Prove Fiscal-Conservative Cred]

Rebirth

State Rep. Timothy W. Jones (R-Eureka) of the Missouri House of Representatives was unanimously elected by the new Republican caucus to be the next Majority Floor Leader. Why is that newsworthy? Because he was represented by "Birther Queen" Orly Taitz in a federal case alleging that President Barack Obama was secretly an Indonesian named Barry Soetoro and ineligible to be President of the United States.

Jones was listed as a plaintiff in a lawsuit filed by lawyer-dentist Taitz to obtain an original birth certificate, immigration records, passports and other vital records from Obama. [TPM]

Obama's Attic

Most people who've registered an opinion here against pursuing truth about Obama's citizenship, have used a "what good would it do?' argument.  He has the resources to produce documentation now; congress would never impeach him; it's too late.etc.  Well, the game just changed.  Right now, and without benefit of any coverage to speak of by the legacy media, about half the country doubts his claim of Hawaiian birth. So there's that.  Aside from Alinsky-rule  ridicule of "birthers," Obamunists have relied on a meaningless certification document, of which there are at least three versions floating about, and a very explainable birth announcement in a Hawaiian newspaper. The evidence produced against is as Mt. Everest is to an ant hill.

Forcing the issue now with congressional hearings would, in my opinion,  expose the whole nation to the facts, and lead to, if not  impeachment proceedings, the complete collapse of  Obama's claim to moral and legal authority in signing Obamacare, or anything else into law.  It's  de-facto impeachment.  As a bonus, it would necessarily lead to the  who knew, and when did they know it? questions.   Good-bye democrat party.

Based upon current laws and regulations, there is a reasonable path to victory for Republican Joe Miller in the contentious U.S. Senate race in Alaska; however, with a very pro-Murkowski Lt. Governor, Craig Campbell, operating much like a state Secretary of State, a liberal court system and Murkowski tapping members of Bush’s Florida 2000 legal team, it’s unlikely to be as straightforward as it should be.

RESTORATION
The trick for Republicans is to keep Bachmann – the Minnesota Republican viewed by many in leadership as an unserious and unhelpful spokesman for the party – away from an elevated platform that many in the party feel would hinder or harm the GOP , without being viewed as not listening to the Tea Party movement, which supplied much of the energy that gave them a 61-seat pickup and control of the House. [Walking a fine line]

RESTORATION 2011
Factually speaking, Franklin Roosevelt did not do one thing to end the great depression. Employment on 12-7-41 was at the same level it was when he was elected in 1932.  I won't mention the land mine social legislation he imposed on the nation in the interim, aside from mentioning it.  What Roosevelt did accomplish - through force of personality - was give people reassurance.  Reassurance (I will never again use the word hope) that something was being done. Now is the beginning of our very last chance to salvage a great nation. Very last.  I for one am not reassured.

The issue raised here, over Bachman's leadership post,  is not whether Texas Rep. Jeb Hensarling is a good conservative; it's whether the Republican party that allowed us to get into this mess has actually changed.  Every signal I've seen screams no

Bachmann is loved by many in the conservative grassroots for her outspoken support for a wide range of conservative positions, no matter how politically incorrect. She has developed a national profile after only two terms in Congress by appearing regularly on TV. But she has attracted significant negative attention as well for comments deemed extreme or careless.

Really?  And whence came this disapprobation?  I knew this wasn't going to be easy, and it's not.

Read those tea leaves. The establishment GOP views us as brats throwing a convenient for them temper tantrum.   We need to be mollified.  Here's rhetoric that would signal that they are indeed serious about winning this war  "We want your birth certificate Mr. Obama."  That sets the tone. Does the legacy Republican conference see a struggle to the death against an American taliban-like democrat party?  I don't think so. I see careerists  thinking about committee chairmanships and perquisites. I see people who apparently want be viewed as "serious people" by Katie Couric and the New York Times.  I'm at odds with Sarah Palin here, but every one of the 60-70 incoming freshmen ought send a message of assurance by backing Bachman.  The Jeb Hensarlings will only grow in that atmosphere - if they have the right stuff.
