Teachers Strike Back at the Union!

Maryland Teachers Union Strikes Back

As previously reported on NetRightDaily.com, the Wicomico County Education Association (WCEA) is scheduled to hold a vote on April 28th and 29th on changes to the teachers association bylaws, removing the WCEA’s mandatory association with the state union.  Needless to say, the MSEA isn’t going let this vote happen without consequences.

In response to the impending vote, loyalists to the state union secretly entered the WCEA’s offices, changed the locks and security codes, altered office equipment, and fired the WCEA’s sole employee, all in violation of the law and the governing documents of the WCEA, according to WCEA leadership.

This response is akin to the bully tactics of a neighborhood gangster after a local business misses its latest “protection” payment—but instead of “protection” extortion, the state union is ensuring that it won’t lose county teachers’ annual dues in excess of $500,000. It appears the MSEA is making an example of Wicomico Country teachers, lest any other small county teachers decide they don’t need to pay half a million dollars or more to a politically-charged, scandal-ridden state union.

The disassociation vote is still scheduled to commence as planned.

Culture of intimidation’ and "bullying tactics;" phrases that capture the American political left in this Age of Nefarious. But, whoa!  Teachers taking a stand against their union!  In Maryland!  And the citizenry standing up to government intimidation in Nevada!  Oh, sweet Jesus! I feel the vapors coming on.

The Christian Bear

Bear with me

First day of deer season, and Harry was up before dawn and on his way to to a favorite upstate hunting ground.  Once there he settled in, drank a cup of coffee from his thermosand promptly fell asleep.  He woke some hours later.  Even before he opened his eyes though, he felt the presence; could smell, and feel the heat, from something very close.  He opened eyes to behold a very large, and very menacing black bear looming over him.  The bear's left foot rested on the stock of his Remington 700.    Harry had heard enough tales about predatory blacks targeting humans in this area to know he was in very, very deep trouble.

Now, he was not a religious person.  In fact, Harry had zero exposure to praying and church stuff of any kind, but in this moment of sheer terror he closed his eyes and blurtedNo, screamed, at the top of his lungsJesus, please!  If you're out there, please at least make this a Christian bear who will listen to your command.  And FLASH!  Harry opened his eyes and beheld the beast on bended knees, paws clapped together in prayer, and clearly intoning:

"Bless us, O Lord, and these Thy gifts, which we are about to receive from Thy bounty, through Christ our Lord. Amen."

The Paranoid Party

The Paranoid Party
by Daniel Greenfield @ the Sultan Knish blog

After its collapse under Reagan, the reinvented Democratic Party runs entirely on outdated conspiracy theories about Republican bigotry. It complains that Republicans secretly believe that they're a secret Communist conspiracy to destroy America, while their entire platform is an accusation that the Republican Party is a secret conspiracy to enslave black people.

Or as the famous admirer of articulate, bright and clean-looking African-Americans, Joe Biden said,  "He is going to put y'all back in chains."

 El Snippets

[....] The Democrat may no longer believe in God, the Constitution or even motherhood and apple pie, but he devoutly believes with all the faith of a 9/11 Truther in the impermeability of steel and of a Neo-Nazi in the Protocols of the Elders of Zion that somewhere out there Republicans are sitting in a sealed room and plotting to bring back the 50s.

And if not the 50s, then at least the early 60s.

The left accuses the right of being deeply paranoid. Meanwhile the left is convinced that every Republican sneeze is a racial putdown of America's first black president since Bill Clinton.

Forget about looking for Communists under every bed. The proper progressive never lies down with his or her partner of choice and their government mandated birth control from the Catholic institution with no choice in the matter without first checking their privilege and checking for conservative bigotry.

Sometimes, somewhere in Kentucky or Alaska, a minor Republican functionary forwards an email depicting ObamaCare as the work of a voodoo witch doctor and the first lefty to discover it dines out on that triumphant accomplishment for a year before writing a book about it. The rest of the time, the McCarthyists of the left have to work hard to unpack the subtext of the overlay of the puzzle box of a random remark.

[...]

The sanest liberal of the 21st century makes the looniest member of the Birch Society in the 60s seem positively grounded in reality. Conspiracy theories aren't a fringe element in the Democratic Party now; they're the entire ticket.
The politics of paranoid hatred is the crutch of mental cripples who protect the source of their dysfunction by projecting it onto phantom enemies. It's Hillary Clinton with her unfaithful husband, her list of enemies and her conviction that the Republicans made him cheat on her multiplied a million times over. It's the frenzied MSNBC talking head who sees the N Word everywhere because it's inside him. It's an Attorney General who pursues racial grudges without ever admitting it while calling the country "a nation of cowards" on race.

The War on Women, the constant claims of racism (according to ex-MSNBC'er Martin Bashir IRS was the new "N Word") and the invocation of class warfare by wealthy residents of entirely white bedroom communities is a litany of conspiracy theories. The frenzied search for new IRS and Tiger Woods "dog whistles" that prove the Republicans really are out to bring back the 50s is the psychological breakdown of an entire political party taking refuge in political paranoia.

The progressives are reactionaries who can't run on their record and can't even run on the record of their political opponents. So instead they run on the imaginary record of their political opponents derived from reading their minds, unpacking their subtext and then reading a few tea leaves. [...]  [The Whole Omelet]

A Must Read, Snip & Save
This is a take it to the bank  history and evaluation of the  post Reagan Democrat party. It made me tingle upside my pant leg.  I will include it in the defining articles of distinction log below. Anon. Enjoy.

...Steve  Jobs’s successor at Apple, Tim Cook, was asked at the annual shareholder meeting by the NCPPR, the conservative finance group, to disclose the costs of Apple’s energy sustainability programs, and make a commitment to doing only those things that were profitable.

Mr. Cook replied –with an uncharacteristic display of emotion–that a return on investment (ROI) was not the primary consideration on such issues. ...  The company does “a lot of things for reasons besides profit motive. We want to leave the world better than we found it .... If you want me to do things only for ROI reasons, you should get out of this stock.” [Full]

When I saw this in March, I (like many of you) thought, "What a prick!"  So much for fiduciary responsibility.  And also an insight into Cook's character perhaps.  I'll make this short.

Wife gave me a new iPad Air last week.  She, in turn, took my old iPad I (5.111).  I wiped it clean;  re-registered to her, and went about restoring  the apps I knew she'd enjoy. Like NetFlix, iBooks, Kindle, and a host of others.  But, guess what?  All of the afore mentioned, and many others,  were denied with the message "This App Requires ver 6 or Higher."  WTF?  I used these apps, on that box, last week.

I'm not alone.

It gets worse.  Not only are there no Kindle or iBooks;  there are no book reader apps available. None. Once you give them up, there ain't no going backThe plaintive cry across Apple land is—

Since I don't have the terminal degree in etymology and nonce words and a pro pos diction cuteness, I must ask you to be patient with me and help me out when my knowledge is incomplete, as with the following somewhat paradoxical situation:

The Satanists, the Devil Worshippers, the Diabolotrists, the Demoniacs are now insisting on allowing prayer in schools from K-12.  Yes, children praying in school.  The only stipulation is that they pray to Satan.  Now . . . what IS le mot jus which covers this twist of events????  I think it's a brief word, about 5 letters with 3 distinct syllables, kinda like ivory, but I think it has the letter n in it.  Anybody know?

High Road to Serfdom

The startling thing about the books academics typically dismiss as relics of the past is the uncanny manner in which they anticipate the present. “Democracy extends the sphere of individual freedom,” Alexis de Tocqueville wrote in 1848. “Democracy attaches all possible value to each man while socialism makes each man a mere agent, a mere number.”

“Democracy and socialism have nothing in common but one word: equality. But notice the difference: while democracy seeks equality in liberty, socialism seeks equality in restraint and servitude.”  The de Tocqueville quote was resurrected nearly a century later by Friedrich A. Hayek in The Road to Serfdom.

The Austrian economist and philosopher himself proved to be quite prescient in his own analyses. “Indeed, it could almost be said that wherever liberty as we know it has been destroyed, this has been done in the name of some new freedom promised to the people,” Hayek wrote. “Even among us we have planners who promise us a ‘collective freedom,’ which is as misleading as anything said by totalitarian politicians.”

“‘Collective freedom’ is not the freedom of the members of society, but the unlimited freedom of the planner to do with society that which he pleases.” Think of some of the exotic freedoms we have been promised lately.

Here are some other Hayekian insights which arguably still resonate 70 years after they first appeared in print:

“Almost all the traditions and institutions which have moulded the national character and the whole moral climate of England and America are those which the progress of collectivism and its centralistic tendencies are progressively destroying.” [In case you wondered where the progressivism comes in.]

“Great danger lies in the policies of two powerful groups, organized capital and organized labor, which support the monopolistic organization of industry.” [Crony capitalism, anyone? Perhaps someone should build a statue of Hayek that overlooks Detroit.]
The distinguished émigré also offered a poignant coda for those of us with grandparents who left their homelands because they didn’t want to be born into the job they would die in: “Nothing makes conditions more unbearable that the knowledge that no effort of ours can change them. It may be bad to be just a cog in a machine but it is infinitely worse if we can no longer leave it, if we are tied to our place and to the superiors who have been chosen for us.”

Finally, read this little passage of Hayek’s, written before World War II drew to a close, and realize how long we have been bereft of accuracy in either the media or academia: “The younger generation of today has grown up in a world in which, in school and press, the spirit of commercial enterprise has been represented as disreputable and the making of profit as immoral, where to employ 100 people is represented as exploitation but to command the same number as honorable.”

Mary Landrieu of Louisiana-Liar

Mary Landrieu is one

Democratic senator Mary Landrieu of Louisiana is in a tough reelection battle because of her support for Obamacare. So its not surprising her latest TV ad focuses on the one high-profile fight she's had with the Obama administration, over oil and gas exploration. The 60-second spot features people watching Landrieu arguing for expanding energy exploration in Louisiana and criticizing Barack Obama for its restrictionist policies. Watch the video below:

Most of the clips the ad features are from her appearances on local and cable TV news. But watch the clips of Landrieu around the video's halfway point. They feature the senator speaking in what looks like a congressional hearing, excoriating a faceless witness. "They have to sit here and listen to the federal government say, 'We can't share a penny with you'? I will not rest until this injustice is fixed," Landrieu says. "Do you think there are a bunch of fairy godmothers out there who just wave a magic wand?"

The clips feature a chyron at the bottom of the screen for a program called "Eye on Washington." Below that is the headline, "Obama administration says it won't support increased oil and gas revenue sharing." The problem is that the video clip doesn't come from C-SPAN or any other real TV show. In fact, the clip is a reenactment of a real committee hearing from last year, viewable here. The relevant lines that Landrieu recreated for the campaign ad begin at about 2 hours and 30 minutes into the video.

Why Clive Bundy is a traditional American hero.

Clive Bundy-RSSR

Flashback: Sen. Reid Breaks
Ground for Nevada
Solar Farm Near

Bundy Ranch          $$$
In the early 90s, the BLM went on a frenzy and drastically cut almost every rancher’s permit because of this desert tortoise issue, even though all of us ranchers knew that cow and desert tortoise had co-existed for a hundred+ years. As an example, a family friend had his permit cut by 90%. For those of you who are non ranchers, that would be equated to getting your paycheck cut 90%.

There have been a lot of people criticizing Clive Bundy because he did not pay his grazing fees for 20 years. The public (are) also probably wondering why so many other cowboys are supporting Mr. Bundy even though they paid their fees and Clive did not. What you people probably do not realize is that on every rancher’s grazing permit it says the following: “You are authorized to make grazing use of the lands, under the jurisdiction of the Bureau of Land Management and covered by this grazing permit, upon your acceptance of the terms and conditions of this grazing permit and payment of grazing fees when due.”

The “mandatory” terms and conditions go on to list the allotment, the number and kind of livestock to be grazed, when the permit begins and ends, the number of active or suspended AUMs (animal units per month), etc. The terms and conditions also list specific requirements such as where salt or mineral supplements can be located, maximum allowable use of forage levels (40% of annual growth), etc., and include a lot more stringent policies that must be adhered to. Every rancher must sign this “contract” agreeing to abide by the TERMS AND CONDITIONS before he or she can make payment.

Had Clive signed on the dotted line, he would have, in essence, signed his very livelihood away. And so Mr. Bundy took a stand, not only for himself, but for all of us.
In 1976 there were approximately 52 ranching permittees in this area of Nevada. Presently, there are 3. Most of these people lost their livelihoods because of the actions of the BLM. Clive Bundy was one of these people who received extremely unfair and unreasonable TERMS AND CONDITIONS.

Keep in mind that Mr. Bundy was required to sign this contract before he was allowed to pay. Had Clive signed on the dotted line, he would have, in essence, signed his very livelihood away. And so Mr. Bundy took a stand, not only for himself, but for all of us. He refused to be destroyed by a tyrannical federal entity and to have his American liberties and freedoms taken away.

Also keep in mind that all ranchers financially paid dearly for the forage rights those permits allow – - not rights to the land, but rights to use the forage that grows on that land. Many of these AUMS are water based, meaning that the rancher also has a vested right (state owned, not federal) to the waters that adjoin the lands and allow the livestock to drink. These water rights were also purchased at a great price. If a rancher cannot show beneficial use of the water (he must have the appropriate number of livestock that drinks and uses that water), then he loses that water right.

Usually water rights and forage rights go hand in hand. Contrary to what the BLM is telling you, they NEVER compensate a rancher for the AUMs they take away. Most times, they tell ranchers that their AUMS are “suspended,” but not removed. Unfortunately, my family has thousands of “suspended” AUMs that will probably never be returned. And so, even though these ranchers throughout the course of a hundred years invested thousands(and perhaps millions) of dollars and sacrificed along the way to obtain these rights through purchase from others, at a whim the government can take everything away with the stroke of a pen. This is the very thing that Clive Bundy single-handedly took a stand against. Thank you, Clive, from a rancher who considers you a hero.

Thanks to Sir H the Comet for finding and sending thisIt will only be for lack of  exposure to American history that anyone, knowing these facts, save for communistas, will not— at the very least—understand  Clive Bundy's  position.  Most will see him as an exemplar  of what we used to be.  The Don't Tread on Me we. Which, come to think of it, means even the communistas will understand that too.  And hate him for it.

Aside- my reference to Harry Reid atop is because, per usual, Harry Reid is backing the PRC (Chinese) in developing a solar farm techno facility on the grazing land, and I will bet big time that  the Reid Crime Family stand to make big wampum from this scheme.   Did I say that Harry Reid is a known, but unindicted crook?

I've got a "new" production Yugo M-57 Tokarev on the way but the only ammo I can find for it is new production full metal jacket and it was expensive.Reloading components are hard to get also.

Took me to- This

YEAR 2009

... this week the DoD wrote a letter to the owner of Georgia Arms and said that from now on the DoD will be destroying the brass - shredding it. It is no longer available to the Ammo makers - unless they just buy it in a scrap shredded condition (which they have No use for). The shredded brass is NOW going to be sold by the DoD to China as scrap metal.... after the DoD pays for it to be shredded. The DoD is selling the brass to China for less money than Ammo manufacturers have been paying... plus the DoD has to pay to have the brass shredded and do all the accounting paperwork. That sure helps the US economy now, doesn't it? Sell cheaper to China - and do not sell shells at all to a proven US business. Any agenda working here???? Obama going after our ammunition!!!!!

After being made public,  the resulting flare-up caused the DoD to rescind that policy.  It was however akin to finding out your wife was cuckolding you
with a guy down the street—a guy you despised. Her promise never to do it again may be accepted, but you'll always know she has that lust.  And suspect an even deeper ulterior motive.

Sen. Harry Reid Behind BLM Land Grab of Bundy Ranch
Corrupt Democratic Sen. Harry Reid working with the
Chinese gov’t to take (grazing) land for solar facilities

When InfoWars broke that story, and it went viral (despite not being mentioned by the Dem media), the Feds suddenly announced that they were withdrawing from the assault of Bundy.

Now, there are two things at play in my head right now (and forgive me for being so peripatetic)  about these ugsome facts. First was toadold's comment about the cost of ammunition and scarcity of components for DIY.  And the Feds recent penchant (since Obama was elected in 2008) for buying billions of rounds of ammunition, and the plan to sell mil brass to the PRC at a loss. I am hard pressed then not to conclude that:

  1. Our policies not only help the PRC strategically, but
  2. as a practicality, disarm the American public by making ammunition scarce and unaffordable.
That takes me back to The Clintons' Coal-Gate;
[Bill Clinton's 1996 declaration of] 1.7 million Utah acres as a national monument, thereby depriving an energy-starved U.S. up to 62 billion tons of environmentally safe low-sulfur coal worth $1.2 trillion and minable with minimal surface impact, was a political payoff to the family of James Riady.

He's the son of Lippo Group (the PRC was a partner) owner Mochtar Riady. James was found guilty of — and paid a multimillion dollar fine for — funneling more than $1 million in illegal political contributions through Lippo Bank into various American political campaigns, including Bill Clinton's presidential run in 1992.

Clinton took off the world market the largest known deposit of clean-burning coal. And who owned and controlled the second-largest deposit in the world of this clean coal? The Indonesian Lippo Group of James Riady. It is found and strip-mined on the Indonesian island of Kalimantan.

And now to

The Gun control policy of the Clinton Administration: , The White House's domestic policy on guns during Bill Clinton's term in office as president of the United States from 1993 to 2001. Gun control was a major political issue in the first half of Clinton's first term and during that time he lobbied for, and signed, two major pieces of gun control legislation, the Brady Bill and the Assault Weapons Ban. [Wiki]

None of these constitute minor contretemps; they are, or sure seem to be, part of  a Third Wayish scenario (that we associate with Bilderbergers, et.al.)  to remake the world by eliminating the United States role of counter balancer. The very presidency of Barack Obama is the boldest and most successful to date manifestation of how far along things are.

At this point I ask myself, why are you publicly posting this

  • Because I can
But what do you hope to achieve?
  • An indulgence satisfied.
