I will miss Christopher Hitchens.  He once described himself on C-Span as being ''not just liberal, but radical liberal.'' To put a finer point on the era's :Ethics Committee conduct, Dick Gerhardt was simultaneously being investigated for what amounted to real estate fraud and tax evasion.  He was cited for lying to the committee three times, but let of f with a slap on the wrist.  Ann Coulter is aware of these facts, but chose to take the low road. It wasn't necessary, as her other insights attest (IMO).  I too would rather have Romney or whats-his-name over Newt, but criminal behavior is not one of Newt's weaknesses. ”
