More Academia Bullying

More than 100 students walked out on retired U.S. Army Lt. Colonel Allen West on Thursday as he began a speech at Saint Louis University to discuss the threat of radical Islam.

Had the students stayed, they would have heard a speech on how radical Islamic terrorism has reached American shores, and how the U.S. government is obfuscating the issue, and in some cases apparently covering it up, calling terrorist attacks on U.S. soil workplace violence or other names.
The students protesters — led by the SLU Rainbow Alliance and the Muslim Students’ Association — had arrived early and filled many of the seats in the two-story auditorium where West was slated to speak. As he took the stage they stood up and filed out.

At issue is West’s use of the term “radical Islam” — also the subject of his speech.

Last week an administrator at Saint Louis University told the conservative and Republican students organizing the talk that they were not allowed to use the words “radical Islam” on advertisements for the event, reported Young America’s Foundation, which sponsored the talk.

In response, West wrote an article saying he had been “censored,” called modern college students who seek safe spaces “little cupcakes,” and added ... [full]

SLU President Fred Pestello, fearing, I guess, an ugly demonstration, coddled students with an email saying he stood in “solidarity” with them, and called West a “provocateur.”  Provocateur? As opposed to "peacemaker, reconciler, uniter?  Neither definition fits.
The conservative organizers
had every expectation that they would be allowed to hear free expression of ideas; this is a University, wot?  Still, the most troublesome aspect of this saga is that bullies like the Rainbow Alliance, and Muslim Students’ Association (as they are wont to do) acted to keep interested students from hearing the very speech they arranged.

Using the the dreaded Hitler invocation; which group, the conservative hosts, or left activists, most resemble Brown Shirts?   That's right.

The OJ Crime

Culture

With everything going on, how is it that a chance stumble on this "reunion" between OJ Simpson victim Ron Goldman's sister Kim, and a juror who found OJ innocent  compelled me to watch?  I don't know, but I did. The key question from Meredith Vieira to Yolanda:

With 20 years of hindsight, and after another jury found O.J. guilty in the civil case, do you think you made a mistake?"

YolandaNo.
The media reasoned that by letting O.J. walk,  the jury (9 Blacks, 1 Hispanic, and 2 Whites)  sent a powerful rebuke to  America's racial crimes.

The Real Man of the Year

       WHAT GUMMINT DOES

    TEXT

Chief Justice Roberts- Killed America

Chief Justice Roberts’ opinion in the ObamaCare case was not statesmanlike; it was elitist.  By grounding its reasoning in an amorphous, under-theorized and functionally limitless constitutional power, the majority ensured that people who disagree with the outcome will be flummoxed in trying to critique it.  In truth, the majority’s reasoning on the tax power is weak, even risible—but few people possess the tools to explain why, and by the time they acquire those tools, the intensity of the moment will have faded.

He invented out of whole cloth a new definition of taxation that contravenes long-standing precedent. He added hundreds of billions of dollars to the federal deficit, by way of his Medicaid ruling. And he forever tarnished his legacy as a Justice, and his promise to the nation that he would serve as an umpire, and “remember that it’s my job to call balls and strikes, and not to pitch or bat.”

So yes, it was a deft move to uphold the healthcare law while avoiding the Commerce Clause quagmire.  In steering the court around a direct confrontation with the other branches it is possible that Chief Justice Roberts has assured constitutional peace for our time.  But given a choice between fidelity to the Constitution and intra-governmental harmony, Roberts chose the latter.  And he did so in a way that will shut many people out of the debate over the quality of the Court’s reasoning and the legitimacy of its decision.  Let him be remembered for that, too. [Forbes] [Forbes]

Bottom line, and in plain talk - because of Roberts we are left with no place to hide from the federal Goliath.  We can no longer "disappear." Every vestige of our privacy and personal life are under the purview of the Internal Revenue Service.  Under the  Robert's rule, government can tax (confiscate) every possession we have.  He could have stopped it all.  All things considered then,  Chief Justice Roberts is the worst person in American history.

Surrounded by Savages

This story makes me sick.  The psychology of the unprincipled person who gets scolded by his peers will often lead him, spitefully,  into the arms of the antis.  If  John Roberts is the unprincipled person in my scenario, and he most certainly is, then don't be surprised to see him going all petulant on us, and becoming the Liberal Fifth Column on the court.

Sierra Club's Eco Terrorism

GREEN CRIME

The  Sierra Club, ECO Terrorists
The media are finally catching up to America's shale natural gas boom, with even Fortune magazine waddling in with a cover story. But the bigger recent news is that Res Ipsa Loquiturone of the most powerful environmental lobbies, the Sierra Club, is mounting a major campaign to kill the industry.

The battle plan is called "Beyond Natural Gas," and Sierra Club executive director Michael Brune announced the goal in an interview with the National Journal this month: "We're going to be preventing new gas plants from being built wherever we can." The big green lobbying machine has rolled out a new website ...
[WSJ- Sierra Clubs Natural Gas]

The Sierra Club are the People For the American Way (PFAW) of environmentalists.  Funded by ignorant squirrel loving Americans, and radical green-activists  who regularly respond to eco-threat fundraising letters with checks. They "Pride themselves On Liberal Constituency And Leadership." Their effect on the nation's economy has been devastating.

Bad Judgement Celebrated

Democrat or Bubonic

Today's Plague Culture

Res Ipsa Loquitur
67 years from now some defective asshat will do his  thing,
remembering the time when everything was about to be free
until greedy capitalist pigs ruined everything.

The Big Picture montage Victory Day 2012, showing Russia and former Soviet republics marking the 67 years since WWII triggered this thought.  Coincidentally, I just watched Archangel last night, which theme is a plot to resurrect that wonderful old guy Joe Stalin. Or, as FDR called him, Uncle Joe.

Ginsburg shows her ass

            —    you berk.  you filthy f'n berk

A filthy f'n berk

In a move that should come as a surprise to nobody, a Democrat appointee to the Supreme Court has dissed the United States Constitution,  Overseas  To the Obama installed Muslim Brotherhood government of Egypt. Here, from SLATE

Ruth Bader Ginsburg has disturbed the balance of the universe by giving an interview to Egyptian television in which she does not recommend using the U.S. Constitution as a model for post-Mubarak happiness. The whole video is here, and some transcripts are at the link, but this part is the hackle-raiser.

Q: Would your honor's advice be to get a part or other countries' constitutions as a model, or should we develop our own draft?

A: You should certainly be aided by all the constitution-writing that has gone one since the end of World War II. I would not look to the US constitution, if I were drafting a constitution in the year 2012. I might look at the constitution of South Africa. That was a deliberate attempt to have a fundamental instrument of government that embraced basic human rights, had an independent judiciary. It really is, I think, a great piece of work that was done. Much more recent than the U.S. Constitution: Canada has a Charter of Rights and Freedoms. It dates from 1982. You would almost certainly look at the European Convention on Human Rights. Yes, why not take advantage of what there is elsewhere in the world? I'm a very strong believer in listening and learning from others.

We're being flanked by RINO

Six RINOs who need to be primaried

RINO POOP

Mr. Mike Rogers (R-AL)  for himself, Mr. Peter King (R-New York) , Mr. Daniel E Lungren (R-CA), Mr. Tim Walberg (R-MI), Mr. Chip Cravaack (R-MN), and Mr.  Mo Brooks [R-AL) introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on Homeland Security, and in addition to the Committee on the Judiciary, for a period to be subsequently determined by the Speaker, in each case for consideration of such provisions as fall within the jurisdiction of the committee concerned, are proud to submit a bill to

Criminalize Satire of TSA

In other words, if you print a t-shirt or produce a publication with a TSA logo, the government may soon be able to arrest and prosecute you.

The language states that it would be illegal to “convey the impression” that you are representing the TSA, but this interpretation would likely be left to federal prosecutors.

In the past, satire was protected under the First Amendment, but it may soon be illegal to poke fun at the TSA or use its logo or even utter its name. Notice there is no exception in the above language for parody.

If this analysis is right, and I can't see where it wouldn't be, this is scary. The Republican caucus ought expel all six of them tomorrow.

The Witch is Dead

Ding-Dong the ... .

Congressional leaders met this week with two of the most important people in Washington: the co-chairmen of the Joint Committee for Deficit Reduction. There was only one problem: House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi didn’t even know the meeting was taking place.

Though sources close to the principals declined to comment on the nature of the discussions between the leaders, they all confirmed that Pelosi was not present.

A House Democratic leadership aide said Pelosi’s office had no advance knowledge of the super committee leadership meeting, and it was not clear why she was not included.
  [Roll Call]

Ding Dong
I seem to remember Pelosi saying that she didn't care about being popular as long as she was feared. Guess what.

Playbaby Union Asshats

Lord, help me ...
because I keep having real bad fantasies ...
... forgive them; they know not what they do.  They're Liberal M'frs.

School Uniforms
"Some of these folks super glued our front doors at the prep school," said Br. Bob Smith, OFM, the president of Messmer Catholic Schools, about the school on the corner of North Fratney and East Burleigh Streets.

He told Newsradio 620 WTMJ that a woman was walking in front of the school Thursday, asking people to protest.

According to Br. Smith, one protester said " 'Get ready for a riot,' because they were going to disrupt the visit."

Please, are there teachers out there who are embarrassed by their asshat union?

Don't let the White Separatists win

Snowman with noose appalls neighbors

Boned Jello
Kootenai County sheriff's deputies told Mark Eliseuson Wednesday that he could be charged with a crime because the 10-foot-tall snowman was holding what appeared to be a noose. Deputies were called by neighbors who were appalled by the pointy-headed snowman with two dark eyes.
The guy is a supposedly a "White separatist," so duh.  We all have our crosses to bear.  As bad as white separatists are, and they're despicable,  this solution is way worse.

I don't see a "noose exception" anywhere in the First Amendment, do you? To show that even the most despicable amongst us have some good in them:

At Halloween he passed out bullet casings after he said he ran out of candy.

Poop tomato seed

not making this up.

I thought this TUA post was a smackdown parody of the undigested seed lodged in American cultural poop named Jerry Springer.  It's not!  It's self parody.

Weasel Clark

General Clark

Boned Jello

This is pretty neat.  But first, I always figured that Wesley Clark's boyhood hero was Gen. George B. McClellan.  Clark certainly emulated Mac.
  • Both  West Point "ring-knockers"
  • Both  removed from command by the president who appointed them.
  • Both back-stabbing opportunists.
  • Both attacked a president during wartime.
  • Both ran for president as Democrats, on a surrender monkey platform
  • Both Losers
McClellan, at least, was always insubordinate towards Lincoln.  Clark, however, was on record extolling the capabilities and virtue of the very man he was now attacking (probably influencing James Webb in the bargain).  Gen. Clark may be best known for the Battle of Waco.  His alliance with Janet Reno, and Texas Gov.Ann Richardson led to a stunning victory against the insurgent Branch Davidians; racking up a stunning  74-0 kill ratio!  But, I digress again.

Clark is in Illinois today, stumping for Democrat Senate Alexi Giannoulias,  who's running against Mark Kirk. In The Uniforms They Wear: Kirk and Giannoulias, Daniel Halper takes an interesting look at  the three man, and the battle dress they wore at a point in history.

Hang the Juror

Find Jo Ann Chiakulas

Jo Ann Chiakulas

Jo Ann Chiakulas
Chiakulas is identified as a "Black female believed to be in her 60s, is a retired state public health director who has ties to the Chicago Urban League"  Neither this 20 year old picture of her, nor the court sketch seem to show her as being a Negro, and it's all beside the point.   She's another first class canker-blossom who, and I'm sure of this, is part of a travelling jury road show formed to undermine confidence in American justice.

A Bad Cop

Maryland, My Maryland.
Story.

Video

Upshot
Because of this story, and others like it, jackass Congressman Edolphus Towns, a Democrat from New York, has introduced legislation to illegally override powers enumerated by the constitution that empower states to make their own damn laws. In the final analysis, it would be a good idea for Trooper Uhler and Rep.. Towns to cancel each other out on the field of honor.

Lake Somalia

Lake Somalia
Somali Islamists carried out two bomb attacks in Kampala, killing at least 64 people as they watched the World Cup final, Ugandan authorities said on Monday.

Boned Jello

With news of this latest outrage perped by Islamo Somalia comes renewal.  Renewed pleas to non Islamo nations on Earth, to join together and level everything in the geographic area that "nation" infests.

Seriously.  If my magic button was working (it's out for repairs) I'd press it NOW, and lo! Lake Somalia; 246,201 sq. miles of hole waiting for enough rain to fill it.  And do you know what?  If Somalia disappeared today, not a soul in the world would notice its absence, save for a severe drop in international crime.  The area produces nothing but the green flies favored by other Muslim countries.

It seems that  I've been forced to use an inordinate amount of ink on this idea, to no avail.   The fact that another rogue government is subsidizing them certainly doesn't help.( US sends 40 tons of arms to terrorist infested Somali government).  Does it?  That gummint needs to be removed as well.

Peace be with you.
