Fight evil; Your conscience can be clear

Thou shalt not kill was a historical mistranslation of Do not murder(Hebrewלֹא תִּרְצָח ‎ lo tirṣaḥ) one of the Ten CommandmentsExodus 20:13 and Deuteronomy 5:17.

Point of order here ...

The Barn Army Dept of Constitutional Clearing-up previously asked:

If Northern California falls into the sea, will Nancy Pelosi immediately lose her congressional seat for a district that no longer exists?

I understand that Senator Byrd was tasked with the research, but I haven't heard a word from him. Yet.   Anyway, here's another, even more pressing situation that needs clearing up.

What if  President Trump's investigation into Barrack Obama's Presidency concludes that he was, in fact, not even eligible to hold that office, having falsely claimed American citizenship; and, was furthermore an agent planted by a foreign cabal to "fuckup America" (a legal term), which conviction is  death  lethal injection ... .  Well, that begs the question "Will his Secret Service detail have to be present during the 'ceremony?'  Will they be honor- bound to try and pull him off the gurney?"  Right now, nobody knows. Write your congressman.

The Germans Are Coming for Their Gold

A German federal court has said that country’s central bank should conduct annual audits and physically inspect its gold reserves worldwide, including gold in the custody of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.

Res Ipsa Loquitor

For decades, the Bundesbank has relied on written confirmation of its gold holdings in London, Paris and New York. According to the report from the German audit court, the last time Bundesbank officials physically inspected the central banks gold holdings was, well, never.

Ruh-Roh.  It appears the Germans, if not the U.S. Congress, have been taking Ron Paul seriously.

Cash WinFall

So this nerdy pimple faced kid says, "Sell your Alcoa and Phillip Morris; give me the cash and I'll invest it in lottery tickets."
Sounded Legit

Res Ipsa Loquitor

The game’s vulnerability became clear in 2010, Sullivan said, when the MIT group figured out a way to win nearly the entire jackpot for a single drawing, something lottery officials had erroneously concluded was impossible.

The MIT group figured out that, if it bought enough tickets, it could push the jackpot to $2 million and trigger the rolldown all by itself.

In August 2010, the group began quietly buying up enough tickets to force a rolldown. The lottery remained silent as the MIT group stockpiled 700,000 tickets and did not alert the public that a rolldown week was about to happen, as it normally does. The MIT group bought more than 80 percent of the tickets during the August 2010 rolldown, Sullivan found, and ultimately cashed in 860 of 983 winning tickets of $600 or more. [Cash WinFall]

Speed Limits

One thousand 1
One thou

Barabus 0-60 in 1.67seconds
From my sailing days I knew that my Cal 25 had a maximum speed of 6.29 knots.  An immutable law of physics.

Maximum Hull Speed = 1.34 * LWL1/2
LWL:  Boat Length at Water Line

Watching Top Gear, which bench marks car's 0-60 mph times, I've become acutely aware of and astounded by  advances  in these times.  Just awhile ago the Bugatti Veyron did it in 2.5 seconds!  Think of that. You're sitting at a stop light.

  •  It changes to Green.
  • You floor it.
  • Repeat after me,
  • One thousand 0ne
  • One thousand two
  • One thous — Whoa!
  • You're doing 60 miles an hour.

Now comes the Barabus, a new 1005 horsepower supercar the automaker says is capable of doing zero to 60 mph in 1.67 seconds. HMFS!

Is there a physical law that comes into play here?  A point where a car may go no faster?  The same goes for things like the fastest running mile.  When Roger Bannister broke the 4 minute mile in 1954 the world was astounded.  Hicham El Guerrouj is the current men's record holder with his time of 3:43.13 minutes.  We know absolutely that someone will beat that.  What's the limit?  Can someone run it in 2 seconds?  Why not?

My brain hurts.

Tin Foil Attack!

Earthquake?  What Earthquake?
NUCLEAR STRIKES AGAINST UNDERGROUND BASES

Aha!  The Israelis did Iran, Right?
NO.

Recently, these sources informed him that the earthquakes that occurred in Colorado and the Washington DC area, surrounding August 22nd and 23rd, were, in fact, apparently nuclear strikes against underground military facilities.

[These underground bases] have been built by the US government, ostensibly since the early 1960s, at the cost of trillions of dollars of undocumented taxpayer money that is going into these “black projects.

Oh crap.  What about Iran?  I'm switching channels here boss.

Tesla Recharge Cost?

The Survey Sez ... ?

I watched an intriguing show about the new Tesla Model S sedan on the Wealth channel.  It (seats 5) will supposedly get 160 miles on batteries (the 50K price quote; the 300 mile range quoted is with  largest battery option +$$).  Here's the question that needs answering. If I use my portable generator to recharge it, how many gallons would  be consumed?  Not a trick question, because I don't know the answer.  Does anyone out there know?

Turkish Baths for congressmen, JFC

    "Sun Light Shower Baths to
Pep up Weary Congressmen"
CONGRESSMEN in Washington now resort to sun light baths in the Turkish baths of the House of Representatives office building when they become jaded. Weary from their intensive work and political worries congressmen find that these sun baths restore their “pep.” The lights, when the treatment is taken for ten minutes each day, give the patient the same benefits as if he were spending a couple of weeks at one of the southern winter resorts. Not only do the lights invigorate, but they also give the patient an artificial tan. These same kind of lights were used to treat the King of England. The busy men do not; find it necessary to disrobe to derive the full benefit of the sun shower baths and seated before the showers the health-giving rays bathe them from head to waist. Masks are worn over the eyes as a protection from the powerful rays.

JFC! How pamprered can you get.  Sunlight baths, indeed. Such high faluting language for tanning salon, for a bunch of  twig eatin', tofu fartin', lily livered, Prius driving, America-hating, bleeding heart liberal, blinkered, Starbucks drinking, elitist, can't-we-all-just-get-along, granola eating, namby-pamby, Birkenstock wearing, tree hugging, long haired, pansy-assed, kumbaya-singing, Earth First, bed-wetting, patchouli wearing, dirty, smelly, dope smoking, bongo playing, armpit shaved men crying "Mother Earth is Gaia ... .   oh - never mind.
