I love it, but it's killing us

I've been searching with DuckDuckGo for years. I've also eliminated the word g%g!€ from my vocabulary.

I remember this. Google is guilty of a lot of things, including manipulating search results to favor Clinton this election cycle.

Google is rolling out a new website platform for "small to medium businesses" (SMB) called GMB. When I was asked if I would use it, I replied that Google has such a nasty reputation for censoring anyone that publishes conservative political ideas. I would hate to set up my business to rely entirely on Google, only to have them switch it off.

I too use DDG and don't use Chrome browser either as it's g***le based(unless as sometimes happens, it's the only one that will work.) If I have to use it, as soon as I'm finished I clear the cache & remove chrome.exe in Processes using Task Manager.)
Hands up- how many knew that chrome, once used, keeps running unless you take action to stop it? That it adds itself to "autostart" programs without telling you? Probably you already know that it contacts the Mothership at every opportunity, and it doesn't tell you that either.
Their aim is to know EVERYTHING about all of us, and most of us would be horrified to find out how well they've accomplished that.
Makes me laugh, the underhanded sleazy corporation that had the motto, "don't be evil." Which has now been replaced by, "do the right thing." The right thing for that huge corporation, that is! - 7/9/17, 1:22 PM

^esky, I have a Chromebook but use it only for travel, not business. That's because it's small and cheap.

Max- yeah, that's how we all get sucked in. G**gle stuff is ubiquitous, cheap, and well-performing; but the tradeoff is, everything you do with it/on it gets sent to G**gle.
I'm just hoping that people become aware of the huge monster lurking behind the friendly facade, so that no one trusts it with important personal information. Some things no one would tell even their closest friend, but they'll let G**gle in on the secret without a thought!
FWIW- I don't care for NSA to know whatever I talk about on the phone either, but I really do think G**gle is the bigger threat. They're on the other side, and they ruin people's lives intentionally and maliciously. That's what the Left does!
So be careful out there. Not all conspiracy theories are false; we sure can't depend on the #LyingMedia to tell us which are actually true. That's been pretty well proven! All these media giants have their own agendas, and telling the truth isn't their concern.
They don't care about any of us except like a rancher cares about his beef cattle. - 7/10/17, 12:11 PM
