A government task force finds that senior officers manipulated intelligence reports to make the President look good. The result? The Islamic State had time to blossom and flower.

BY CounterJihad · @CounterjihadUS | August 11, 2016

Last year, 50 professional intelligence officers at US Central Command filed a formal complaint that their intelligence reports were being altered by senior officers.  Now, we can say for certain that they were right.  A Congressional task force investigating the complaint has found convincing evidence that the reports generated by junior officers were far more dire in analysis of the threat from the Islamic State (ISIS), and that those reports became altered only once senior officers close to US Central Command (CENTCOM) leadership became involved.  Those altered intelligence reports sometimes made it into the President’s briefing material, where they could reinforce his judgment that ISIS was not a threat he had to take seriously.

The President later attempted to blame Austin for his decision, saying that he was acting on Austin’s advice. In fact, Austin had recommended keeping 20,000 troops in the country to ensure its stability as a fledgling democracy. It was ignoring that advice that created the conditions in which ISIS initially began to blossom.
Worse, these altered intelligence reports formed the basis for sworn testimony given by then-CENTCOM Commander Lloyd Austin.  General Austin’s testimony to Congress thus painted a rosier picture than was accurate.  This gave allies of the President in Congress the opportunity to downplay the need for policy changes, and undermined Republican efforts to drive a more serious response to the ISIS threat.  Such false statements by General Austin may have been perjury, especially if he was aware that they were false.

In a familiar pattern of behavior, it looks as if senior officials have been destroying records — especially emails — to block the ongoing Defense Department Inspector General investigation. [FULL]

SJW Asshats

Corpulent (corpulant?) Canadian comedian Seth Rogen is getting in a ton of trouble with social justice warriors for perceived racial stereotypes in his new animated adult comedy Sausage Party.

Saw a prescreening of Sausage Party last night......I mean I laughed but overall it relied waaaay too much on racist humor
The film, co-written by Rogen, is coming out tomorrow, but a tidal wave of liberal outrage is engulfing the movie, which is a spoof of Disney and Pixar animated films. Sausage Party‘s bizarre plot revolves around a hot dog’s relationship with other foods, and it ends with a food orgy.

Just saw Sausage Party... the biggest piece of crap ever... seriously never waste your time. Gross, unfunny, racist, sexist & a rape scene
The beef from the SJWs revolves around the racial stereotypes of some of the foods in the Sony movie. An Arabic loaf of lavash (voiced by David Krumholtz ) riffs on the 77 bottles of extra-virgin olive oil awaiting him in the next life. Also causing offense is an Irish potato who sings [Irish ballad] “Danny Boy” and whose catchphrase is “Jesus! F**k!”

Other comedic elements of the film that have galvanized the SJWs: Salma Hayek voicing a Mexican taco, a Native American bottle of Firewater (which quips  he had settled in the grocery store first before getting shoved in the backroom), and some Nazi German sauerkraut dedicated to”exterminating the juice” compound. Critics are tweeting their distaste with how this Sausage is made: [FULL TWATAGE]

Not to be outdone, the PJL (Porkers Justice League) denouced the SJW for bringing Seth Rogen's girth into the mix, and declared jihad on those "skinny white-ass corpogynists and their Black-ass wannabes!"

What more needs saying?

You don't need sound for this ...

The word you're looking for is "psychopathological"

More Media Frenzy

Even having predicted that the media's attacks on Trump would be unprecedented, I'm still amazed. Every single news outlet is dedicated to hysterically denouncing Trump, every minute of every day, while cooing at Hillary.

The main story this week: The media's psychotic claim that Trump called for Hillary's assassination.

Trump said: "Hillary wants to abolish, essentially abolish, the Second Amendment. If she gets to pick her judges, nothing you can do, folks. Although the Second Amendment people, maybe there is, I don't know."

Trump is supposed to be joined at the hip to David Duke based on not "disavowing" him with sufficient ferocity the 17th time he was asked about this person he's never met, never mentioned and didn't invite to speak at his convention.

Hillary invited the mother of violent cop-hating criminal Mike Brown to speak at her convention, and the Democratic platform expressly endorses the anti-police Black Lives Matter -- even as these celebrated cop haters inspire the mass slaughter of police officers across the country, in New York City, Dallas and Baton Rouge.
Hmmm. What could Second Amendment people "do"? One thing they could do is what they did do -- in 1994. That was the year gun rights supporters voted out dozens of Democrats who voted wrong on guns, ushering in the first Republican Congress in 40 years.

It's been nearly a quarter century, and the Democrats are still so traumatized by their sweeping losses in 1994, that, even after Gabby Giffords was shot in Arizona, even after the Aurora movie theater shooting, even after the Sandy Hook massacre, Democrats refused to take up a gun bill in the U.S. Senate.

Apparently, the only news you'll be getting from now until the election is the media's own insane interpretation of every little thing Trump says or does. Anyone remember the week-long scandal about a star on a Trump retweet?

No one, not even Joe McCarthy, has ever faced this level of obsessive hatred from our constitutionally protected guardians of liberty in the press. Anyone else would be chewed up and spit out after one minute of such relentless attacks.

But sissy conservatives who have never faced one minute of press hostility blame the victim, saying it's Trump's fault for giving the media openings to twist his words.

She was wearing a Hillary Button?

America's Latino population

Some years ago I read an article by someone I admired - Florence King stands out? - to the effect that it will fall to America's Latino population to protect our Republic from its enemies.

Just popped into my head.

Scandal Meter must be calibrated differently ...

This article by Stu was rejected by The American Thinker.  Maybe because they had 8,000 other submissions on topic?  I am glad to post it here.

Stu Tarlowe Stu@Tarlowe.com August 10, 2016

“My Scandal Meter must be calibrated differently from the MSM’s” I often claim that I have a scandal detector and a Bravo Sierra meter.

For example, Hillary's, Bill's and Obama's speeches at the DNC practically broke my B.S. meter; they pegged the needle permanently into the red zone.

But my scandal detector must be calibrated far differently from the ones the Mainstream Media use. For example, my detector showed real scandal potential in the recent news that an Iranian nuclear scientist, Shahram Amiri, who had been named and discussed in Hillary Clinton's compromised e-mails, had been executed by Iran for spying for the U.S.

This seemed to indicate that Benghazi wasn’t the only scandal which left Hillary with blood on her hands. But, as far as the major "news services" are concerned, not only did the story sink beneath the waves with nary a ripple, let alone any significant mention, but Hillary, if asked about it, would probably say,

"Well, the guy's dead, so at this point what difference does it make?"

It just didn't register on any major news service scandal detector.

My detector also registered the potential scandal in the revelation that, seated behind Hillary at a recent rally in Florida, in the highly-visible area usually reserved for those supporters a candidate wants to show off, was the father of the man who committed the terrorist attack on the (gay) nightclub in Orlando.

On TV I encountered the story only on an "entertainment news"- type show, and even there saw or heard no mention that the fellow, Seddique Mateen, had made a public statement very critical of Donald Trump’s candidacy.

I had to get all that from "alternative media"; the story, and the Clinton campaign’s preposterous claim that they didn’t know he was there or who he was until after the rally, apparently hadn't even moved the needle on any of the MSM's meters.

Ah, but when Donald Trump quipped that Second Amendment supporters might know how to prevent or undo Hillary's anticipated stacking of the Supreme Court, then the MSM's scandal detectors started beeping!

Right away he was castigated far and wide for "advocating violence" and maybe even suggesting assassination. Such “threats”, the talking heads were all eager to pile on and tell us (almost in unison!), had no business coming from a presidential candidate.

It seemed to me that Trump’s very casual, offhand remark might have more likely been a reference to the actual rationale behind the Second Amendment, that the People of the United States have a God-given right to keep and bear the means to resist a tyrannical government.

That used to be understood by all Americans, back when American History and Civics were still part of the curriculum. Trump might even have been thinking of the words of Thomas Jefferson, who said (in a 1787 letter from Paris to his friend William Smith) "...What country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms [...] The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants."

But to the Libs/Progs/Leftists who inhabit the Obama regime, the Hillary campaign and the ranks of sycophantic, footlicking collaborators, enablers, apologists and fellow travelers in the mainstream press, even those notions (let alone the notion that the right to resist tyranny comes from God, rather than from Government) set off their scandal detectors!

.. republic be on its last legs?

Could our republic be on its last legs?
Irrespective of election results?

Chief Justice TRKOF

If the judicial system continues to usurp power it doesn’t rightfully possess, then America’s current system can’t last much longer, according to Conservative Review senior editor Daniel Horowitz.

“We will not survive another few years as a republic, irrespective of who wins this election, if the courts are not stripped of their power,” Horowitz declared during a recent appearance on the Mark Levin Show.

Indeed, the nation is reaching a “cathartic moment in our history where elections don’t matter,” according to Horowitz.

This is because unelected judges are deciding most major social and political questions with finality. Horowitz details the danger posed by the courts in his new book “Stolen Sovereignty: How to Stop Unelected Judges From Transforming America.”

Levin praised the book, calling it “a must-read” and “a terrific book” and deeming Horowitz “one of the smartest young men in the conservative movement today.”

Horowitz said he was inspired to write the book by two distinct events that happened Sept. 3, 2015. That was the day Rowan County, Kentucky, clerk Kim Davis was thrown in jail for refusing to violate her Christian faith by issuing “marriage” licenses to same-sex couples. This came after the Supreme Court in June created the constitutional “right” to homosexual marriage.

[FULL]

Right now Liberals have appointed approx.  52% of all federal judges. If Dems win this election that percentage is expected to reach 76%.  I have here quoted Jefferson's admonition (about watering the Tree of Liberty with the blood of rancid government) so often that I fear it's reached proper triteness.  And, after all, who wants to .. you know. The risk our founders took is way under appreciated.

THUG NATION SINCE 1992

Since the Democratic National Committee emails were leaked a few weeks ago, three people associated with the DNC have all been found dead under what could be questionable circumstances. Some — including Bernie Sanders supporters  — suspect the Clintons were behind the deaths, just more episodes in the alleged “Clinton body count” dating back to the 1990s. Others dismiss the speculation as left-wing conspiracy nuts. But until the police have completed their investigations and the medical examiners have released autopsy reports, it is premature to make any determinations. [Full]

I'm on break

So, yeah, I've been doing other stuff that I had to do,  like various appointments and trying to set MoSup's new laptop working when all of her history on the old one was fried and so I have to reconstruct from old BUs. And then there's passwords. MFCS PASSWORDS UP THE YING YANG!  Collectively we must have 150, some in use for 10 years or more.  Thing is,  anytime you re-register/install on a different box you have to meet the new protocols (minimum 26 letters, every other word in CAPS, four primary numbers. and a partridge tree).

...it wasn't the Russians

This is my third e-mail concerning the Attila The Hen e-mail and DNC hacks.
As I said before, it wasn't the Russians.
Der Skoonj

This new email scandal is the Wikileaks release of a gaggle of DNC emails that prove the Democrat primary race was rigged in establishment Hillary’s favor. She’s tried to make herself the victim once again, blaming the Russians and—bizarrely—Donald Trump for the hack that set the emails free.

I have some news for Hillary and Democrats—I think I’ve got the real culprit. It doesn’t seem to be the Russians that hacked the DNC, but instead a hacker who goes by the name of Guccifer 2.0. The original Guccifer famously hacked Hillary’s home email server, you might remember.

Here’s Guccifer 2.0’s website. Have a look and you’ll see he explains who he is and why he did the hack of the DNC.

Now, ask yourself: Why is Roger Stone the guy showing you this? This website isn’t hidden but of course our pathetic press patsies haven’t reported it; they just keep repeating Hillary’s spin.

Before I tell why Hillary’s dishonest blame-casting is so dangerous, let me explain a little more about why it seems like Guccifer 2.0 is the real deal. He seems to have set up a Twitter account back in June and then a WordPress blog to let the world know that he’d hacked the DNC.

Trump-Obama gaffes

The Obamissariat

OK, we all remember (those of us who have an attention span beyond today's news cycle) when Barack Obama pronounced "corpsman" as "corpse-man", or when, on Memorial Day 2008, he said he saw some of those being honored right there in his audience (prompting several wags to quip, "Obama sees dead people").

But just the other day Donald Trump made what seems like a great stride in the race to say things that indicate a stunning stupidity about military matters. His supporters cringed and his opponents attacked. [Continued]

A nice reminder Stu, but, and I may be in the vast minority here, we've reached a point where anybody with the tiniest bit of inquisitiveness is familiar with Mr. "57 States."  We are by now in a death struggle with LoFo's and hard core "progressives" for the nation's soul. Either we have enough innate health to fight off these autoimmune diseases, or we don't.

Drive-Bys Go Full Palin

!

Drive-Bys Go Full Palin on Trump

I'm telling you, I wonder how long it's going to be... Well, it's already happening, even before today.  But we do have a number of Republicans -- Meg Whitman being the most famous and noteworthy recently -- who are suggesting not only is it time to throw Trump overboard and get rid of Trump, it's time to sidle up to Hillary Clinton.  But I'm telling you, there seem to be so many people on our side that are deeply affected by what the media does.

They still believe that the only way we can ever win is to have a nominee or a candidate for whatever election is up that the media doesn't destroy.  And, of course, I said, "Well, then if you get that kind of nominee that the media doesn't want to destroy, they're really not going to be that good  going to be part of the accepted establishment."  [Rush Limbaugh]

2) A FINE EXAMPLE

Over the years  College Humor  has morphed from being obsessed by Lindsay Lohan and drunken frat parties to, viz,  one that takes it's cue from The Daily Show's leftist political humor. This recent entry is a good example. Most* of the quotes are accurate, and are the kind of truthful observations that propelled Trump into taking the GOP nomination despite an all out attempt by the GOPe to stop him.  So this cute little attempt use the Hildabeast to back-hand trump shows they view anything politically incorrect  as dangerous thinking.  I know.

*One panel quotes Trump saying in the late '90s:
"I have black guys counting my money! I hate it. The only kind of people I want counting my money are short guys that wear yarmulkes every day. Those are the kind of people I want counting my money. Nobody else."
Wikipedia have here listed just about every meaningful Trump quote from the 1980s onward.  This quote is tagged DISPUTED.  Trump responded:   He made up this quote. I've heard the quote before, and it's nonsense... I've never said anything like it, ever." – Meet the Press (24 October, 1999)
3) EXPANDING
Fusion, the struggling millennial-centric news outlet, wrongly attributed a racist quote to Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump on Wednesday.

An article that was featured on the very top of Fusion's home page described an application for a web browser that supposedly attached real past quotes from Trump to mentions of his name found online. "To be extra-clear: these are all real quotes that Donald Trump actually said..." read the article, written by Patrick Hogan.

One of those quotes said, "Laziness is a trait in blacks."

That line, however, is not directly from Trump. It is found in a 1991 tell-all by a former Trump employee, who alleges in his book that he heard Trump say those words to a black accountant at a Trump-owned establishment, according a 2011 article in the Huffington Post. [Full]

4) SPEAKING OF (CON) FUSION :

Since Donald Trump’s reality TV bona fides have carried him near the top of some early Republican polls, we’ll probably be reading about him for at least a few more months. Which is annoying, given his penchant for saying pompous, ignorant, racist, and sexist things in a never-ending quest for attention.

Luckily, there’s a way to make reading about Donald Trump much, much better. We wrote a custom extension for Google Chrome that adds a ridiculous Donald Trump quote to every online mention of his name.

To be extra-clear: these are all real quotes that Donald Trump actually said, such as:

“Laziness is a trait in blacks.”

“We need global warming.”

“Somebody’s doing the raping”

You can install the extension at the Chrome Web store by clicking here. (Or just download the crx file if you’d prefer to install the extension manually.)  [FULL]
Let me put it this way.  Trump is a successful businessman who runs his operations with a firm hand on the tiller.  He will not put up with liars or slackers, and in will call a spade a spade(don't even) and is, I think, scrupulously honest.   50 years ago he'd be played in the movies by Jimmy Stewart or Gary Cooper,  and directed by Frank Capra.   But, then, so could the vast majority of Americans. That's why I've been behind him from the get-go.  This is our last chance. Will I be happy with his every presidential decision?  Of course not; only I could meet that requirement.

The 'Vous

Who Knows Where This Is?

The 'Rendezvous (Vous) opened in College Park in 1962 (closed 12/22/96).  It quickly became the new favorite frat-sorority hangout, replacing the Varsity Grill which had "modernized" it's old high ceiling, "aircraft hanger with/ giant wood burning fireplace" motif,  with  paneled walls, etc., and losing it's soul in the process.

Anyway. I remember that you had to walk down a few stairs at the 'Vous to reach the toilets, which were always overflowing; imparting the stench of urine to mingle with spilled beer.  It was raucous, fun, and full of memories and drunk co-eds. Much closer than the Town Hall, too.  After leaving the 'Vous,  one might stumble down the street to the Little Tavern and give hell to "Cyclops," the cockeyed cook while he fried up a bag of "death-balls."

ASIDE: Kenny Ambrusko scored a 101-yard, game-winning touchdown against Navy in 1964.    That TD saw MD linebacker Jerry Fishman run in front of Navy's team, giving them the finger.  "After playing a contractually obligated 1965 game, Navy and Maryland did not play again until 2005."

Ambrusko later was a bartender (maybe mgr) at the 'Vous.  He said that what was behind Fishman's anger was after sacking Navy QB Roger Staubach, Staubach called him a "fucking Jew."
