Res Ipsa Loquitor

Surprise, surprise, President Obama’s half brother, Malik Obama, oversees much of the finances of the Muslim Brotherhood, not just in Egypt but throughout the Mideast.
"This isn’t about owning the sins of your brother; it’s about knowing about them when they involve potential threats to national security. It’s also about knowing that an IRS official may be complicit in facilitating it by being an accessory to terror funding. " Walid Shoebat

When Morsi was arrested last month, the Egyptian military discovered a pile of documents linking the Obama regime with the illegal activities of the Muslim Brotherhood. Investigative journalist Jerome Corsi has obtained a copy of the document held by the Egyptian military, proving the Obama regime sent millions of dollars in bribes to the Muslim Brotherhood, paid out by the U.S. Consulate. Would it be unkind to place Obama in the same category with the Nazi spies who were landed in the US by U-Boat?  If no, why?

Incidents in the Life of a Slave Girl is a slave narrative that was published in 1861 by Harriet Ann Jacobs, using the pen name "Linda Brent." The book is an in-depth chronological account of Jacobs's life as a slave, and the decisions and choices she made to gain freedom for herself and her children. It addresses the struggles and sexual abuse that young women slaves faced on the plantations, and how these struggles were harsher than what men suffered as slaves. The book is considered sentimental and written to provoke an emotional response and sympathy from the reader toward slavery in general and slave women in particular for their struggles[citation needed], with rape, the pressure to have sex at an early age, the selling of their children, and the treatment of female slaves by their mistresses.

Amazon has a ton of books that Prime members can get for free for use on iPad or any computer, actually.  I just read Incidents in the Life of a Slave Girl  (which Wikipedia excerpt appears above).  What is compelling about it is the mind boggling literary gift  Harriet Jacobs had.  I mean, she was self taught to read by her grandmother, and her  depictions of Southern life and customs  during the early 19th century are riveting, at least I found them so.  All of the characters are real, and are identified in the Wikipedia narrative.

Following the bread crumb trail of FEMA orders, retired State Senator Sheldon R. Songstad of South Dakota State issued an “Emergency Fema Region 3 Alert!!!,” on August 13th.

Region three is comprised of; Washington DC, Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia.

Songstad’s research turned up some very interesting facts. Each item on its own could go unnoticed, but the collective facts may be worthy of your attention and scrutiny. The U.S. government appears to be preparing for a major event. It appears that this event is being staged for approximately Oct. 1st. Let’s look at the numbers and dates.

UN Peacekeepers began training the 4th week of July and will complete their nine week training by October 1st. They are learning English, as well as US weapon systems and Urban Warfare training.

How many troops are training? 386,000 troops!

In today's climate reports like this from The Sleuth Journal (which has a sober appearance) deserve vetting. Well, sober if you discount that Sleuth Journal are  9/11 Truthers. A Google search on "386,000 UN troops" yields "About 128,000 results."  Ahem.

The English are feeling the pinch in relation to recent events in Syria and have therefore raised their security level from "Miffed" to "Peeved." Soon, though, security levels may be raised yet again to "Irritated" or even "A Bit Cross." The English have not been "A Bit Cross" since the blitz in 1940 when tea supplies nearly ran out. Terrorists have been re-categorized from "Tiresome" to "A Bloody Nuisance." The last time the British issued a "Bloody Nuisance" warning level was in 1588, when threatened by the Spanish Armada.

The Scots have raised their threat level from "Pissed Off" to "Let's get the Bastards." They don't have any other levels. This is the reason they have been used on the front line of the British army for the last 300 years.

The French government announced yesterday that it has raised its terror alert level from "Run" to "Hide." The only two higher levels in France are "Collaborate" and "Surrender." The rise was precipitated by a recent fire that destroyed France's white flag factory, effectively paralyzing the country's military capability.

Italy has increased the alert level from "Shout Loudly and Excitedly" to "Elaborate Military Posturing." Two more levels remain: "Ineffective Combat Operations" and "Change Sides."

The Germans have increased their alert state from "Disdainful Arrogance" to "Dress in Uniform and Sing Marching Songs." They also have two higher levels: "Invade a Neighbour" and "Lose."

Colorful Brits

Notwithstanding the fact that perhaps a better title would have been the British Empire in the twentieth century or The Fall of the British Empire, this is a wonderful addition to the imperial historian’s library or to that of anyone interested in this fascinating period of history.

The programme is divided into three different parts, starting at the height of the empire when Queen Victoria was proclaimed Empress of India to the handing back of Hong Kong in 1997. The rise and fall of the greatest empire is portrayed with all of its contradictions and shows how Britain today has become a multi-cultural society as a result.

1.00pm in the afternoon, and Lauren was driving to visit a friend, when an UNMARKED police car pulled up behind her and put its lights on. Lauren's parents have 4 children (of various ages) and have always told them never to pull over for an unmarked car on the side of the road, but rather wait until they get to a service station, etc.    So Lauren remembered her parents' advice, and telephoned 112 from her mobile phone.

This connected her to the police dispatcher-- she told the dispatcher that there was an unmarked car with a flashing blue light behind her and that she would not pull over right away but wait until she was in a service station or busy area.

Res Ipsa Loquitor   The dispatcher checked to see if there was a police car where she was and there wasn't and he told her to keep driving, remain calm and that he had back-up already on the way.

Ten minutes later 4 police cars surrounded her and the unmarked car behind her.
... One policeman went to her side and the others surrounded the car behind.
They pulled the guy from the car and tackled him to the ground........the man was a convicted rapist and wanted for other crimes.
I never knew that bit of advice, but especially for a woman alone in a car, you do not have to pull over for an UNMARKED car.

Apparently police have to respect your right to keep going to a 'safe' place.
You obviously need to make some signals that you acknowledge them I.e., put on your hazard lights) or call 112 like Lauren did.
Too bad the mobile phone companies don't give you this little bit of wonderful information.

So now it's your turn to let your friends know about 112 (112 is an emergency number on your mobile that takes you straight to the police because 999 does not work if you have no signal).
This is good information that I did not know!

Please pass on to all your friends, especially any females.

Holder's Mustache

The Holder-Jindal Collision
The federal government attacks Louisiana school choice.

Louisiana governor Bobby Jindal found out late on Friday, August 23. Attorney General Eric Holder was suing to block the state’s school voucher program, which aims to give low-income kids in terrible schools the opportunity to attend better public schools and even private schools. The Justice Department claims the two-year-old program could interfere with federal desegregation orders in several Louisiana parishes, holdovers from the Civil Rights era.

Res Ipsa Loquitor“This was a complete shock,” Jindal says. “A complete surprise.”

Maybe it shouldn’t have been. Liberals have been fighting the Louisiana voucher initiative, officially called a “scholarship” program, from the beginning.

“The teacher unions took us all the way to the state supreme court, and the program’s still here,” says Jindal. In May, the court ruled the voucher program was constitutional but that funding it through the general education budget wasn’t. Jindal and the legislature made it a line item in the state budget instead.
Many in the education establishment in Louisiana—Jindal calls them the “coalition of the status quo”—protested the voucher program and other education reforms like charter school expansion and tenure reform. Some even hoped to recall him, the Republican speaker of the house, and other legislators, but the movement went nowhere.

He mighten not have been shocked had he'd read  the Pajama Media article about the Republican Party surreptitiously  working to re-impose it.  Hell, even without that, who's shocked by anything Eric Holder does anymore?

'When I Was 27 I Had Similar Feelings'

Democrats have no soul; no sense of right and wrong.  Their priorities are Party, Self, and sometimes Family, and when convenient, Nationin that order.  They have for more than 50 years had what amounts to an ecclesiastical sinecure where there is no political cost for being caught committing felony acts.  They can simply pretend it didn't happen, with no fear of media reprisal.  The latest example is John Farking Kerry blithely referring to  his 1971 appearance before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee where he lied, perjured,  and sponsored testimony from other liars and perjurers who trashed American servicemen in Vietnam.  He is a despicable man.

Is Mohammed God? Or Prophet?

Res Ipsa Loquitor

For no apparent reason I awoke trying to reason on Mahometanism; specifically this.  Mahometanist's  reaction to portrayal of Muhammad's image, like the Danish  cartoonist who had a jihad called against him.  Here's the quandary.

"You shall not make for yourself a graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them or serve them; for I the LORD your God am a jealous God ... First Commandment

Although that prohibition against Muhammad imagery is a recent one, appearing nowhere in the Koran, it's basis is God's instruction to Moses about graven images in the First Commandment.  But wait!  Mohammed is the "Prophet Mohammed," right.  It seems to me, then,  that by applying the graven image  proscription to him, Muslims are elevating him to God status.  Right?  And when Muslims prostrate themselves to say daily prayers, where do they face?  Not toward the heavens, or Mount Sinai (where the commandments were handed down, but facing Mecca—Muhammed's birthplace.  That is Jihad fodder.

"Well, Jane, it just goes to show you, it's always something--if it ain't one thing, it's another."

All this illustrates my fear about the spread of Muslim culture in our country.  Anybody can be an Imam.  In the Middle East he's often the guy in town who can read the Koran, or pretend that he can.  I alluded to the Danish cartoon jihad, which was sparked my an Imam Ahmed Akkari.  People died.

During the cartoon crisis Ahmed Akkari acted as a preacher and spokesman for the Islamic Society, inciting hatred and struggle against Denmark and freedom of expression, but today he has basically changed attitude and broken with his former comrades.  [Islam versus Europe]  Res Ipsa Loquitor

GOP Machination

Punk'd
Res Ipsa Loquitor

We reported that staff within the Republican National Committee are working to re-impose it, outside the public eye.   ... The RNC officially and vehemently denied. But. We’ve also tracked the statements of elected Republicans including Rep. Jim Sensenbrenner, and the activities of their lobbyists and staffs. Sensenbrenner is under the influence of a long-time former staffer who is currently lobbying for the far-left ACLU.

What a red herring. Voter ID is not about voter “suppression.” What, specifically, do Sensenbrenner, Cantor, Boehner and Priebus want imposed? What do they regard as “voter suppression”? They should lay their cards out on the table.
The specific laws that Democrats like Williams want to use the Voting Rights Act to undo now are laws mandating photo ID at the voting booth — which Sensenbrenner claims to support. And, which heavy majorities of the American people support. And, which have been shown to increase minority voter turnout. Voter ID is sensible and especially critical in the border states, where vote brokering, identity theft and fraud are all too easy for even non-citizens to perpetrate.

So if voter ID isn’t Sensenbrenner’s motivation for seeking to put several southern states back under federal receivership when they make even minute changes to voting regulations and laws, then what is? Why does the Wisconsin Republican believe that the “full power” of the Voting Rights Act is still necessary in the south? He should step out and explain publicly what he intends to do and why, and to which specific states. [Full Wonderment]

I don't walk into this believing the Democrat and Republican parties have been whipsawing the voting public in tandem for the past 50 years,  but I'm getting there.  If PJ Media are right about this, it explains a lot.  Like why the GOP treated Sarah Palin with hostility after she jump started McCain's campaign, and actually threatened to win.  We were punk'd.

Arab Mentality
By Dr. Arieh Elda an M.D. at Hadassah Hosp Hospital in Israel

I was instrumental in establishing the "Israeli National Skin Bank", which is the largest in the world. The National Skin Bank stores skin for every day needs as well as for war time or mass casualty situations.

This skin bank is hosted at the Hadassah Ein Kerem University hospital in Jerusalem where I was the Chairman of plastic surgery.  This is how I was asked to supply skin for an Arab woman from Gaza , who was hospitalized in Soroka Hospital in Beersheva, after her family burned her. Usually, such atrocities happen among Arab families when the women are suspected of having an affair.

We supplied all the needed Homografts for her treatment. She was successfully treated by my friend and colleague, Prof. Lior Rosenberg and discharged to return to Gaza . She was invited for regular follow-up visits to the outpatient clinic in Beersheva.

One day she was caught at a border crossing wearing a suicide belt.

She meant to explode herself in the outpatient clinic of the hospital where they saved her life.

It seems that her family promised her that if she did that, they would forgive her.

This is only one example of the war between Jews and Muslims in the Land of Israel . It is not a territorial conflict. This is a civilizational conflict, or rather a war between civilization & barbarism.

I have never written before asking to please forward onwards, so that as many as possible can understand radical Islam and what awaits the world if it is not stopped.

They made the unusual decision, for Democrats, to begin the event with a prayer. This was likely in response to a prayer vigil being conducted by pro-life activists at the same time nearby.

Des Moines activist Midge Slater took the podium and spent five and a half minutes thanking God for abortion rights, abortion doctors and taxpayer funding for abortions. She also referred to the decision to have an abortion as “a blessing”.

During the entire prayer, State Senator Jack Hatch and Rep. Tyler Olson, both of whom are running for governor, kept their heads bowed and eyes closed, joining in the group prayer.

Nobody yet has told me how we might have a conversation with Democrats, and this is why.  There are none. No way.  Nada.  Let me define "Democrat," so there is no misunderstanding about whom we speak.  A Democrat voted for Obama.  The stain is indelible.

Went to a couple's place last night for cocktails, after dinner.  This guy is a German, who took an early retirement working for US Forces in Europe, then "retired" at the age of 53 in Arizona.   Since then, he and his wife moved to Salinas, Ecuador....didn't like that (I could have told him) and now has been in Cuenca for a couple of years.  He is now 65.

Anyway....this guys is a TV nut.  He turned me on to HMA (Hide My Ass) VPN......... for a monthly fee you can re-route your IP  (actually, it gives you a new IP) through thousands of servers all over the world.  Right now, I'm operating through a proxy server in Miami..... after just leaving a server in Denver.

Res Ipsa LoquitorThe advantage there, is that a lot of content (about 90% of Netflix content) is restricted for distribution outside North America..... I just logged on to my Netflix account after hooking up to HMA..... and now 100% of the content is there!  The same holds true for PBS, the History Channel, etc....

Anyway, none of this helps any of you unless you are outside the country....but he did turn me on to two Android apps.  One for TV (Called TV Portal) and one for Movies (Movie Maze).  Through TV Portal, it looks like he can pull up pretty much any TV show that's been aired in the last few years.  Movie Maze is even more interesting.... he fired it up on his Toshiba Tablet, and started playing the new Mat Damon movie (Elysium), which is currently in theaters in the US.

Since I had my Samsung Tablet stolen in Buenos Aires.... I'll have to rely on my Samsung phone for now.... but I'm going to give it a try in a few minutes.  Just thought you'd be interested in the VPN capability, AND the two Android apps (Apple might have similar apps, for all I know).

This guy really knows what he is doing, and he is DEATH on anything Apple.  On the other hand, I've run into people that are just as committed to Apple, and wouldn't have anything but.....

Professor's Response To Angry Gay Marriage Supporter

Res Ipsa Loquitor

Excerpted from Clash DailyDear Edward:

I want to take the time to thank you for writing and telling me that I should be fired from my position as a tenured professor because I am “the biggest embarrassment to higher education in America.” I also want to thank you for responding when I asked you exactly how you arrived at that conclusion. Your response, “because you insist that marriage requires one man and one woman,” was both helpful and concise.

While I respect your right to conclude that I am the biggest embarrassment to higher education in America, I think you’re wrong. In fact, I don’t even think I’m the biggest embarrassment to higher education in the state of North Carolina. But since you’re a liberal and you support “choice” – provided we’re talking about dismembering children and not school vouchers for those who weren’t dismembered – I want to give you some options. In fact, I’m going to describe the antics of ten professors, official campus groups, and invited campus speakers in North Carolina and let you decide which constitutes the biggest embarrassment to higher education.

  • In the early spring semester of 2013, a women’s studies professor and a psychology professor at Western Carolina University co-sponsored a panel on bondage and S&M. The purpose of the panel was to teach college students how to inflict pain on themselves and others for sexual pleasure. When you called me the biggest embarrassment in higher education, you must not have known about their bondage panel. Maybe you were tied up that evening and couldn’t make it.

  • At UNC Chapel Hill, there is a feminist professor who believes that women can lead happy lives without men. That’s nothing new. But what’s different is that she thinks women can form lifelong domestic partnerships with dogs and that those relationships will actually be fulfilling enough to replace marital relationships with men. I can’t make this stuff up, Ed. I don’t drop acid. Well, at least not since the late 1980s. But I promise this story is real and not an LSD flashback.

  • At Duke University, feminists hired a “sex worker” (read: prostitute) to speak as part of an event called the Sex Workers Art Show. After his speech, the male prostitute pulled down his pants, got down on his knees, and inserted a burning sparkler into his rectum. While it burned, he sang a verse of “the Star Spangled Banner.” I believe that stripping incident was almost as embarrassing as the other one involving the Duke Lacrosse team.
There are seven more examples given.  Mike Adams is a criminology professor at the University of North Carolina Wilmington and author of Letters to a Young Progressive: How To Avoid Wasting Your Life Protesting Things You Don’t Understand\.   This earns the Tag "Best Ever"
