This Strange Phenomenon ...

Danville is the site of major historical significance. From Civil War sites to museums, learning about the town’s historical role in Virginia is not hard to do. But fewer people know about the weirdness that is the Oak Hill and Berry Hill intersection. This is the site of Virginia’s own gravity hill. (Con't)

Trump will trump Bezos

I had hopes that Amazon owner Jeff Bezos's purchase of the WaPost would lead to something a little less left-wing doctrinaire. I don't know why I did, but I did.  It took  about a month to watch the chips fall, and they were not falling the right way.  Anyway, I just Googled the Redskin Insider to see the shakeout from last night's  20-13 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.  This is what I saw on the page. I wait eagerly to read about a successful "interception" of an Amazon delivery drone.

Have you seen this?

Pretend to go along to get along ...

Liberal Racism

AUGUST 31--In a confidential memo to fellow staffers, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee’s diversity director last year outlined “best practices” when dealing with the "radical" Black Lives Matter movement, including the avoidance of phrases like “all lives matter” and “black on black crime,” which “anger BLM activists” and are “viewed as red herring attacks.”

The November 2015 memo, authored by Troy Perry, notes that the document “should not be emailed or handed to anyone outside of the building. Please only give campaign staff these best practices in meetings or over the phone.”

... when dealing with the "radical" Black Lives Matter movement, including the avoidance of phrases like “all lives matter” and “black on black crime,” which “anger BLM activists” and are “viewed as red herring attacks.”
The Perry memo was posted late Tuesday evening to the WordPress blog of “Guccifer 2.0,” the hacker who has taken credit for intrusions into the DCCC and Democratic National Committee computer systems.

Since writing the BLM memo, Perry (seen above) has left the DCCC for a job with Hillary Clinton’s campaign.

Noting that presidential candidates “have struggled to respond to tactics” of BLM, Perry advised that House candidates and campaign staff “should be prepared.”

To that end, Perry counseled that “If approached by BLM activists,” staffers should meet with group members and listen to their concerns, but not “offer support for concrete policy positions.” Perry recommended that Democrats “Be a Partner & Lead From Behind” since leary BLM members “don’t want their movement co-opted by the Democratic Party.”

Reid calls on FBI to investigate if Trump ....

"If you're trying to change minds and influence people it's probably not a good idea to say that virtually all elected Democrats are liars, but what the hell." TRKOF

Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid has asked FBI Director James Comey to investigate whether GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump is conspiring with the Russians to swing the election, and whether Russia is using the campaign "to advance the interests of Russian President Vladimir Putin."

Reid pointed to the recent hacking of the Democratic National Committee emails as well as the House Democratic campaign arm, which has been blamed on the Russian government.

Homeland in charge of elections ???

Homeland (Obama) eyes special
declaration to take charge of elections

A White House policy directive adds, "The federal government also has a responsibility to strengthen the security and resilience of its own critical infrastructure, for the continuity of national essential functions, and to organize itself to partner effectively with and add value to the security and resilience efforts of critical infrastructure owners and operators."

Even before the FBI identified new cyber attacks on two separate state election boards, the Department of Homeland Security began considering declaring the election a "critical infrastructure," giving it the same control over security it has over Wall Street and and the electric power grid.

At the time, Johnson did not mention specific security issues, but the FBI has since cited one hack and another attempt.
The latest admissions of attacks could speed up that effort possibly including the upcoming presidential election, according to officials.

"We should carefully consider whether our election system, our election process, is critical infrastructure like the financial sector, like the power grid," Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson said.

"There's a vital national interest in our election process, so I do think we need to consider whether it should be considered by my department and others critical infrastructure," he said at media conference earlier this month hosted by the Christian Science Monitor. [Arghhhhhhhh]

Let's get this straight.  A government that fights tooth and nail against any effort to require voter ID, and have expanded the early voter system to a month before the election (making it impossible to monitor); and are now facing the possibility, if not likelihood, of massive voter revolt,  now decide they must protect this  "critical infrastructure"  by turning the process over to ... themselves?

Suggestions? Ahem.

Leaked Memo Reveals Soros Plan for Federally Controlled Police

A leaked document from George Soros’s Open Society Foundations exposes the billionaire’s level of involvement in attempting to build what his organization describes as a “national movement” to reform local police forces across the U.S. The reform largely consists of federal guidelines for local police forces.
Had'a have a little catharsis.  Had to. And, yes, we had a trial.

BRILLIANCE IN THREE PARTS.

~BRILLIANCE IN THREE PARTS...

~BRILLIANCE IN THREE PARTS...

      Part I:

      A. Back off and let those men who want to marry men, marry men.

      B. Allow those women who want to marry women, marry women.

      C. Allow those folks who want to abort their babies, abort their babies.

      D. In three generations, there will be no more Democrats.

I love it when a plan comes together; don’t you?

      Part II:

10 Poorest Cities in America  (How did it happen?)

City, State, % of People Below the Poverty Level

      1. Detroit, MI 32.5%

      2. Buffalo, NY 29.9%

      3. Cincinnati, OH 27.8%

      4. Cleveland, OH 27.0%

      5. Miami, FL 26.9%

      5. St. Louis, MO 26.8%

      7. El Paso, TX 26.4%

      8. Milwaukee, WI 26.2%

      9. Philadelphia, PA 25.1%

      10. Newark, NJ 24.2%

What do these top ten cities (over 250,000 pop.) with the highest poverty rate all have in common?

Detroit, MI - (1st on poverty rate list) hasn't elected a Republican mayor since 1961

      Buffalo, NY - (2nd) hasn't elected one since 1954

      Cincinnati, OH - (3rd) not since 1984

      Cleveland, OH - (4th) not since 1989

Miami, FL - (5th) has never had a Republican mayor

St. Louis, MO - (6th) not since 1949

El Paso, TX - (7th) has never had a Republican mayor

      Milwaukee, WI - (8th) not since 1908

      Newark, NJ - (10th) not since 1907

Einstein once said, 'The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.'

It is the poor who habitually elect Democrats... yet they are still POOR.

      Part III:

"You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich.

You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong.

You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift.

You cannot lift the wage earner up by pulling the wage payer down.

You cannot further the brotherhood of man by inciting class hatred.

You cannot build character and courage by taking away people's initiative and independence.

You cannot help people permanently by doing for them, what they could and should do for themselves."

TWO YEARS AGO ...
Congress to the Rescue: Quashing Obama’s Internet Giveaway

“Government exists to protect us from each other.
Where government has gone beyond its limits is in
deciding to protect us from ourselves.”  ―Ronald Reagan

Quashing Obama’s Internet Giveaway

President Obama’s plan to give away the Internet back-end to dictatorial control of countries like Russia, China, Iran, Cuba, and North Korea has been quashed because of a provision tucked away in the recent omnibus budget bill passed by the US Congress.  Yes, hidden in amongst all the pork barrel frittering and boondoggle squandering of the public funds, there was one bona fide gem thrown into the mix. BLAH-BLAH-BLAH

Last week I received an untold amount of e-mail on this subject.  And the truth is that even the thought of this happening has left me paralyzed.

We are already left with an almost certain insurrection waged by the Obama-Nation of Islam-Soros created Black Army of Fuck-all-White People. Gird your loins, it's coming.  But even that Obama gift pales in comparison to the long term effects of losing control of our own (created by Al Gore, wot?) Internet.   There is no action  to stop this treason that  I would  find  reprehensible, criminal, or  un-American.  Nothing.  This has to be stopped.

For whatever it's worth, email your congressmen now, even if, like me, she's part of this insurgency, and demand his immediate removal from office. Here are two ways that could happen.  If a majority of Obama's cabinet votes that he is incompetent, the presidency passes to Biden.  That action alone makes this a big enough public deal that failure  gives congress a fast track opportunity for impeachment.  If that fails .... .  Ask for God's intervention.

Infrared-ed Meats

TECHNO THRILLS

It's in my nature to sell things that I'm super pleased with, which is why,  I suppose, that even with a PhD in Astrophysics,  and a degree in culinary arts from the Culinary Institute of America, I've spent my life in sales and marketing. So ...

My kids Father's Day gifted me  this Char-Broil infrared grill, and I was underwhelmed. Boorishly churlish, actually.  I was perfectly happy with my massive  ten year old chunk of stainless steel that often still worked, and saw it as a power move by my dear wife to get it off the deck.  Now, I can't get over how this deal does what it does, but Horry Clap!

It is almost impossible to overcook something.  Srsly.  I've forgotten to check burgers, chicken, etc, and they look burned to a crisp, but no!  The burgers are juicy, chicken too. How you get infrared without electricity is still a mystery, but it evidently does.   Also, if you leave it on for about 10 mins after you finish cooking it cleans itself.  Just brush it off.  Nobel prize.

By the bye, last night I placed a baking pan with frozen onion rings on the upper rack while our meat cooked below. They were uber crispy (best ever, actually), and no oil! Oh, this too
— it will quickly heat to 700º +, so pizza is an obvious candidate.

You're welcome.

Here's the story (paraphrased): "Since the managers were positioned in front of the Democrats, I got to know a number of the other team's senators. During Lindsay Grahams closing statement, at one point he said something like:

'We are all SINNERS. . . . All are SINNERS and fall short of the glory of God,' given in his wonderful southern
drawl.

With this, Senator Boxer, who was seated right in front of me, suddenly became agitated.

'He's not a SENATOR,' she said. 'We're not all SENATORS . . . He's not a SENATOR,' she repeated several times.

Finally I told her that Lindsay was saying "We're all SINNERS, not all SENATORS." Of course after the impeachment vote there seems little difference between the two, even if most people are not nearly as confused as Senator Boxer was (is).

Lost and Found

When I suffered a monumental system crash a few years ago, that not only destroyed my computer  but the backup drive as well, I was bereft. I did cobble together a semblance of history using several thumb drives, and by mining info from three old computers stashed in the basement. When the smoke cleared I was left with most everything post 2008 (Except most of my Obama files?).

While house cleaning on Friday, I discovered a stash of forgotten CD back-ups.  OMFG!  The past few days I've been mining them.  So far I've recovered approx. 300,000 pictures, and countless texts and e-mail data.  From time to time I'll repost some that have relevance, or just amuse me. Like these.

Oh My ...

PHOENIX (AP) - The investigation and possible prosecution of metropolitan Phoenix Sheriff Joe Arpaio will be handled by the U.S. Justice Department after federal prosecutors in Arizona asked to be removed because of unspecified conflicts of interest, according to a court filing made public.

The U.S. Attorney's Office for Arizona said in its brief filing Friday in U.S. District Court in Phoenix that the case has been assigned to the Justice Department's criminal division, public integrity section.

The filing cited "existing conflicts of interest or the appearance of conflicts of interest pertaining to the matter" for Arizona's federal prosecutors, but it did not provide details.

Snow also said there was probable cause to believe Arpaio intentionally failed to turn over records that he had promised, under oath, to give to a court official.
Mel McDonald, an attorney for Arpaio, said he was disappointed by the decision.

"It's their call," McDonald said. "If they have a conflict ... I'm not one to second-guess that decision."

U.S. District Judge Murray Snow ruled last Friday that another judge should decide if Arpaio and others should be held in criminal contempt-of-court for ignoring court orders in a racial profiling case. Snow also said there was probable cause to believe Arpaio intentionally failed to turn over records that he had promised, under oath, to give to a court official.

The records were from a secret investigation that Arpaio's foes say focused on Snow in an attempt to discredit him.

Arpaio, a Republican who is running for a seventh term this year, has vigorously insisted that he didn't investigate Snow and instead said the probe was focused on widespread identity theft.  [More, if you can stand it]

Like in a Greek play, Obama's DOJ is the crane with cable that lets him drop into and resolve any  political problem in a flash.  My contempt for this — this, call it  brigandage,  is boundless.  In my play, Sheriff Joe will be President Trump's Attorney General.
