The "FAIL" thing X 2

Academic stupor

 Progressive Professor Trashes Obama

Boned Jello

Cuzzin Rickey sent me this  story.  Been futzin with it for about 5 hours, off and on. I recognized the professor's name. David Michael Green. A Hofstra PolSci teacher of the usual kind.

It bores me, plowing the same ground, over and over.  I know too many of these assholes.  Oh, they think I'm an asshole, too.   I admit it; they don't. Plus, I'm not paid for being an asshole; they are.  With public monies to a large extent.

Here's a concise thumbnail of Green.  Here's "Professor Trashes Obama," which includes Green's screed "Now I’m Really Getting Pissed Off."  Which reason is, Obama's not acting militantly enough to suit leftist academics, and Soros, Inc.  Which is why the Pelosi's and the Obamunists can't stop trying to enact Obamacare and Globalwarmingcare, et al.  They have to appease these people, because they own today's Democrat Party.

Eat me.

People beginning a political discussion by asserting they're a Southerner, a churchgoer, and a swing voter in presidential elections, are about to lay some leftist agitprop on you.  Bet on it.  If the person is saying it in Newsweek, double down.

There was a 6 month or so gap between the start of my best friend Tim's puberty onset, and my own.  It was hard playing war by myself.  But, anon, we were going on shore leave together, and having just as much fun.

I copied the "THIS WEEK roundtable" blurb about a month ago.  It speaks for itrself, and serves to segue into ... Frank Rich v. ‘America Rising’: Hope ‘n Change v. Buyer’s Remorse.
It was not a referendum on Barack Obama, who in every poll remains one of the most popular politicians in America. It was not a rejection of universal health care, which Massachusetts mandated (with Scott Brown’s State Senate vote) in 2006. It was not a harbinger of a resurgent G.O.P., whose numbers remain in the toilet. Brown had the good sense not to identify himself as a Republican in either his campaign advertising or his victory speech. (more…)

"The president ...will come in with
a plan -- and it will be bogus... .
"

Boned Jello
MORAN: Well, let's look forward. Where does it go now? We heard David Axelrod today say the president still wants not the small plan that he seemed to suggest to George Stephanopoulos. He still wants to go big, as do Pelosi and Reid and David Plouffe, the new player there. What do you think of that?

WILL: I think it's madness for them to spend another three months at least on health care when the country wants them to turn to other matters. The president's second sentence of his State of the Union address last year said we all know that the primary question is jobs and the economy. So they spent a year on health care, and they dare not surely do that again. And their votes are simply not there for the big bill. ...  I don't think the country is angry so much today as it is sober and frightened. And it's frightened by the deficits, the sense that there's no plausible economic assumption that will make this turn out well.

So I expect the president on Wednesday night will come in with a plan -- and it will be bogus and rejected -- to have a commission that will recommended difficult choices on entitlements and taxes and all the rest. ['This Week' Transcript: Obama Adviser David Axelrod

Bacon Taste

 BACON

Boned Jello

MoSup is blessed with uncanny senses of hearing and taste, much to my dismay at times, ahem.  She can, for instance,  tell if I sectioned her grapefruit with  a knife used to slice garlic, and not washed.  Usually she let's things like that go, but when it comes to bacon she's fussy and outspoken.

Boned Jello
The Greeper and Joe bought me a gourmet bacon of the month deal once, and we're talking expensive stuff here.  It was all quite good, and served to set a new taste standard.  Ordinarily I buy whatever's on sale.  Gwaltney, Smithfield, Giant brand.  All crap to her.  Last month BJ's had a deal on Oscar Meyer, so I bought several packs, and that more than passed muster.  It has taste, and renders little fat.  Last night I bought Oscar Meyer Extra-Thick (Applewood Smoked) from Giant (2 for $7).  Horry Clap!  This is the best bacon evah!

Normally a pound of bacon will yield two of these glasses of fat.  Look at this!  Maybe 2 TBSP.  And, the bacon is T-A-S-T-Y-licious.  I will buy this stuff, even at full price from now on.

You're welcome.

Déjà vu all over again

1994 Déjà vu

In 1996 Bill Clinton was on the ropes.  Aside from imposing, retroactively, the largest tax increase in American history, his administration had nothing to show for itself.  His plan to grab control of the nations Health Care was shot down in flames.  Hillary became the first (and still only) First Lady to be subpoenaed before a grand jury, and new scandal seemingly arrived daily with the morning dew.

Bill Clinton reached into his hip pocket and summoned Dick Morris, the man who had engineered his resurgence as Arkansas Governor, to get him reelected.
Morris advised Clinton to sign the GOP's Welfare Reform Act, that he had twice vetoed, and blanket smaller television markets, away from the scrutiny of the national media, with political ads.  He, did both,
  • He signed the Welfare Reform Act (and immediately campaigned on undoing it if   reelected ).
  • Paid for the unprecedented media blitz with illegal campaign funds; rented the Lincoln bedroom;  laundered Teamster money, sold missile guidance technology, and took loads of Chinese commie cash.
  • The Oklahoma City Bombing was a bonus  opportunity to display a take-charge persona, and go on a gun banning spree.
Summary - Clinton was a wily crook who somehow avoided imprisonment, if not Impeachment.

2010 - Barack Obama's Administration needs no further introduction.  His Administration is, by the standards set by his cultist masters, foundered on Plymouth Rock.

The Him
reached into his vault (where he keeps his birth certificate) and summoned David Plouffe (Plouffe the Magic's Draggin'), campaign manager of Obama for America and Obama-Biden 2008.

Here's where the Déjà vu runs off the track.

Plouffe is recommending more of the same.
  • Shove through Health Care - by any means
  • Brag about non-existent Job Creation
  • Get the ACORN voting apparatus oiled up.
Summary - Obama is possibly the most politically tone deaf creature in American history; or totally George Soros's bitch.

"A Facebook employee has given a tell-all interview with some very interesting things about Facebook's internals. Especially interesting are all the things relating to Facebook privacy. Basically, you don't have any. Nearly everything you've ever done on the site is recorded into a database. While they fire employees for snooping, more than a few have done it. There's an internal system to let them log into anyone's profile, though they have to be able to defend their reason for doing so. And they used to have a master password that could log into any Facebook profile: 'Chuck Norris.' Bruce Schneier might be jealous of that one."
