Nothing demonstrates the seachange that's taken place within the Republican/Conservative/Libertarian complex than Peggy Noonan.  Sweet Peggy.  Author of  Bush 41's  "a thousand points of light."  For some time now, having nothing whatever to do with politics, I've found Noonan to be increasingly unctuous, and her writing condescendingly preachy.  I bought her book (forgot which), but quickly drowned in the oceans of sweet syrup she heaps on everything. At least one, maybe two different people commented on my posts about the  "Kapi'olani Medical Center – the place of my birth ... .'"  letter that was posted on the hospital's web site. (Hawaii Bound ; Hawaii Bound), noting the letter was a fake because there was no presidential seal.  My response was that I didn't know whether all WH stationary had the seal, but  Representative Neil Abercrombie "Read the very special congratulatory message sent by President Barack Obama," and he should know. Still, I could find no letterhead examples without the seal, and it was unusual that a narcissist like Obama, who used a replica of the seal while campaigning, and then created another "President Elect" version would send anything without the gold braid. So I asked WND about it.  Here's what happened. Within hours of WND's story, the hospital pulled the letter from its website. This is particularly funny, because Snopes, within hours of the story, changed their claim that Obama was born in Queen's Hospital, to Kapi'olani Medical Center to conform with the letter. The text of the letter was read aloud by U.S. Rep. Neil Abercrombie, D-Hawaii, at the hospital's Centennial Dinner which took place on the evening of Jan. 24, and was recorded on video posted online by Kapi'olani, as well as excerpted now on this YouTube video Abercrombie even posted the information on his congressional website, saying the letter would be "settling the question once and for all." The letter was created by the hospital to replicate the longer letter Abercrombie read from. The presence of those Born in Kapi'olani tee-shirts certainly indicates that this was a planned effort to put to rest the questions,and multiple lawsuits, about Obama's citizenship.  Throughout this entire affair, Obama has taken great pains to keep his fingerprints off of anything to do with it  (even that meaningless green "certification" document was released by the KOS website).  I suspect so that when the thing finally blows up, he can argue "Look, how was I supposed to know where I was born, I was only zero years old when it happened?"  There is much more here for those inclined.

FWIW: Several years ago I wrote to Snopes, accusing them of slanting something or other way to the left.  I received an almost immediate first person reply, telling me to go f**k myself, more or less. I don't know if I'm blacklisted after that, but the several items I've submitted since have gone into the ether, evidently.  So this Renewing America piece interests me. “ [Abstract] Snopes.com has been accused of being run by a "flaming liberal." But now a defender of Snopes, about.com, has rushed to their aid, writing a story about how conservatives have attacked poor Snopes. They write, in part: Is it true that "Snopes.com is owned by a flaming liberal" and that "this man is in the tank for Obama"? Well, first off, Snopes.com is owned by two people, not one. They are husband and wife David and Barbara Mikkelson. [Oh, well, that makes a world of difference. Two people in a team could not possibly be leftists, now could they?] Second, the Mikkelsons' political views are between them and the ballot box. I don't know what they are; you don't know what they are; certainly the author of this email doesn't know what they are.   According to a boilerplate statement issued by the site, "Neither of the operators of Snopes.com has any affiliation with, has ever made a donation to, or has ever publicly expressed support for any political party or candidate." [The fact that the owners claim no affiliation and don't donate money proves what?] Anyone who has proof to the contrary should come out with it. Okay ....  there are little clues that stand out everywhere in the article appearing on Snopes itself and quoted at about.com. One of the biggest clues is the versions of the emails whose veracity Snopes doubts. For example, if you look up the stuff about Obama's nationality, you find that they print a version that accentuates the silliest claims in order to make the reasonable ones seem silly too. That is what we call a red herring. The Left is very adept at this tactic. For example: "...rumors swirling about that Barrack Obama was a Muslim with a middle name of Mohammed..." The following quote from about.com certainly does not comfort me: ... the Mikkelsons' political views are between them and the ballot box. I don't know what they are; you don't know what they are; certainly the author of this email doesn't know what they are." Not true. If Mikkelson were not politically aligned, he would not have endorsed only leftwing TV news channels as he did in an interview on CNN. ... Snopes' reasons for believing in Obama's credentials are not comforting either: "Judge Surrick ruled Berg's attempt to use certain laws to gain standing...were frivolous and not worthy of discussion." For real conservatives, the last people they trust are judges. They know our rights are being stripped one by one and that it is chiefly the judges who are doing the stripping. To hear a judge state that a US citizen has no right to know if a candidate for president is a US citizen and hence in compliance with the Constitution, is just more evidence of a thoroughly corrupt judiciary, not evidence that the lawsuit against Obama was not valid. The real fact of the matter is that the DNC and the electoral college should have delved into this matter a long time ago and it is clear that they did not. And we shouldn't care what the Mikkelsons — or their defenders at the very far-left pro-Obama New York Times — say about this. Conclusion: be wary of Snopes. I don't necessarily think they lie, but they present conservative emails in a very unfavorable light, so unfavorable that it is hard to call their presentation objective. Things move fast when you're chasing something as fleeting as a Cornered Obama.  12 hours ago I posted on Obama's letter to the  Kapi'olani Medical center, calling it "the place of my birth."  This today, from WND. “ More than eight months after Barack Obama was elected president, the mystery surrounding his precise birthplace is deepening as the myth-busting website Snopes.com – along with several news agencies and an Obama community blog – directly contradict the president's own claim regarding the hospital in which he was born. But according to Snopes, the popular online hoax-buster that many rely on as the final word on both important and frivolous stories, Obama was born at a different hospital in the Hawaiian capital. In Snopes' entry concerning allegations that Obama is a "radical Muslim," the site addresses the birth history of the commander in chief, stating, "Barack Hussein Obama was born on 4 August 1961 at the Queen's Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii." WND took a screen shot of the entry and highlighted the name of the hospital. ” Within 90 minutes of this WND story being posted, Snopes swapped the hospital of birth to indicate Obama was born at Kapi'olani, but noted some ambiguity by stating, "News accounts have also variously placed his birth as having occurred at Queen's Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. Randy "Duke" Cunningham (R CA) resigned from congress, plead guilty to bribery charges, and was sent to prison after being investigated by the FBI for a scant two years.  But, Jefferson is what?  That's right.  A Democrat.  So he stonewalled.  The FBI raided Jefferson’s congressional office in May of 2006, seizing documents showing he helped  arrange contracts between a U.S. telecommunications company and Nigerian officials.   Pelosi screamed bloody murder, and an appeals court ruled the FBI did not have jurisdiction to raid a congressman's office.  Him being a Democratic congressman, and all.  Not fair.  Separation of powers.  While all this was going on, Pelosi, Reid, and the Axis of Evil  were peppering the airwaves with commercials describing the GOP's Culture of Corruption. Jefferson, won re-election to a ninth term in 2006, and the Democrats took control of Congress.   Watch the video and  tell me the exact time the AP tells us which party Jefferson is affiliated with.   I'll wait.   ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ.

(Three credit course) "Historian" Howard Zinn is to American history what Leonard Jefferies is to Black Afro-Centric history, or "the school of let's-make-shit-up."  Zinn's version of history is made to conform with the Progressive (Stalinist) view that America is evil, has always been evil, and can only escape being evil by putting fellow progressives in charge.  I am absolutely certain that what little American history the Obama poseur knows, was partially learned by reading Zinn. Anyway, Zinn was a featured speaker at  The Progressive's 100th Anniversary Conference in May. Many of Hollywood's most progressive All-Stars were in attendance, to the surprise of nobody.  I don't expect many will watch all of Zinn's speech (he is an extraordinarily bad speaker), but give it a go for the same reason Patton read Rommel.  To help us outmaneuver our common enemy.

Eighteen months from now Americans will be receiving a can of coffee for Christmas, and be damned glad to have it.  Retirement nest eggs will have disappeared, and tax collectors will be hounding everyone for the last scraps.  Only government employees will have the job security of gummint IOUs.  Add to this mix the question of Obama's very legitimacy. Despite a near media blackout on the subject, a June poll showed that 49.3% of us  know, and are 'troubled,' by Obama's refusal to release his birth certificate.  As Oath of Office conflicts become more pronounced, all this will percolate. A military coup was unthinkable even a year ago, but then so was a communist government, where untold numbers of fraudulently elected members of congress hold sway. Unlike Iraq, we are a democratic republic of long standing, and will not collapse without a whimper.   God help us all - and I don't mean the government's god.

The Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women and Children in Honolulu has posted on its website a letter on White House stationery dated Jan. 24 in which Obama wrote, "As a beneficiary of the excellence of Kapi'olani Medical Center – the place of my birth – I am pleased to add my voice to your chorus of supporters." NOTE: Look at the letter  Obama sent, and tell me it isn't contrived, and transparently self serving.    Too late Obama.  You're illegal, and had too many opportunities to persuade otherwise.  Now, finding a way to remove you is our mission. WND asked if a hypothetical elected official pretended to be born at the hospital, would federal law prevent her from disclosing that? If so, which federal law would that be? "It's just our policy that without permission we don't ever answer questions about babies born in the hospital," she said.   This is not the first time Kapi'olani and other Hawaiian hospitals have slammed the door on WND's attempts to ascertain specifics about Obama's birth. As reported last month, Kapi'olani declined to return any of at least four WND messages requesting comment, while Queen's Medical Center said in a prepared statement, "Due to patient privacy laws we cannot respond to your inquiries." ”

(David Paterson would be a good place to start.) Challenge the constitutionality of BO2’s legion of fill-in-the-blank czars — none of whom have to be confirmed, or even pass a security check. (Come to think of it, neither did Barry.) Let slip your own journalistic dogs of war, assuming you have any, to find Barry’s birth certificate, his college transcripts, whether he applied to Occidental as a foreign student, and on which passport he traveled in 1981 to Pakistan with his friend Wahid Hamid, for starters.  ... and Jane Dystel. ” Whew.
