Why We Win

Why We Win

What did make news last week was a neighborhood association’s quibble with how the 90-year-old veteran chose to fly the American flag outside his suburban Virginia home.

I do remember this story from Christamstime last, but was unaware of the details.

My day in the sun

A Sunshiny Day

Boned Jello

So far, it looks like this might be that day they say every dog has.  First, Gloria Estefan tried to play Oprah, and Miami's Cuban community, which means all of Miami, gave her hate.

The announcement that they would host the fundraiser for the president was only hours old when I started hearing friends and relatives talk about throwing away all their Gloria Estefan CDs. Soon bloggers were labeling them as traitors. In one swoop, all the good will they had built with so many followers, all the years of supporting nonpartisan causes such as freedom and human rights, seemed to disappear.

Sarah Palin seems to have regained her mojo.  I thought her relationship with FOX casted her the wrong way.  She's most effective as an independent voice, with a twitter here, and a jab there.  Yesterday she was in Boston, poking sticks in Obamunist eyes.

A roaring Tea Party crowd cheered on Sarah Palin on the Boston Common today as she slammed President Obama promising it’s “nothing a good old fashioned election can’t fix.”

George Soros began life as a 14 year old Hungarian Jew, pretending to be Christian while  helping Nazi's confiscate the property of other Jews on their way to the death camps.  He is still trading in human misery; still aligned with political monsters. What really perked me up then,  were comments made after this article. "Markets could be derailed again, warns Soros."

Every time government tries to straighten these ups and downs out they ALWAYS create the beginning of the next bubble, unwittingly, of course.

soros, what a joke–the markets need less regulation–let the people and the free markets work and you’ll see a stable economy. Government interference and regulation cause the instability–you should have gone to school in America.

criminal…..goes short and then talks the market down…

Our country is being run by left wing socialist lunatics who are trying to turn us into a third world nation. It’s not an extremist opinion, it’s happening right now in front of your eyes.

Does it make you wonder how a man who makes over a billion dollars a year profiting from unstable markets, can be comlaining about market instability? The very vehicle which has made him one of the richest men in the world.

Someone please explain why he backed and bankrolled Obama’s election?

Yeah, wasn’t it Soros who so strongly supported the bank busting Obama? Soros = hypocrisy.

Thanks for the tip. Mr. Soros. I will now invest heavily in the stock market. Betting against you puts me on the side of the angels.

What odd times.

If you answered "The New York Times," and "Duke," we're copacetic  First the Times.  We have here a story,  claiming that the paper is about to "go public with a list of names of Americans covertly working in Afghanistan providing force protection  for our troops."

That's so nuts, I'm really having trouble believing it.  I genuinely felt NYT publisher Pinch Sulzberger, and responsible editors, should have been tried for treason after they printed details of how we were tracking al-Qaeda via bank transactions, which led to the terrorists altering that behavior.    Something like this would call for arrest, trial, and summary execution.  But then, they're probably being fed the information via the White House, so fat chance.
The second WTF? is this

A Nike campaign only a Blue Devil could love
Duke haters will be buying Adidas sneakers from now until the 2010-11 season tips off.

In honor of the Blue Devils capturing their fourth national championship last week in Indianapolis, Nike has launched an ad campaign bearing the slogan "Order has been restored."

Peacocks

Dads
I took my dad to the mall the other day to buy some new shoes (he is 66).

We decided to grab a bite at the food court.

I noticed he was watching a teenager sitting across from him.
The teenager had spiked hair in all different colours - green, red, orange, and blue.

My dad kept staring at him.

The teenager kept looking and would find my dad staring every time.

When the teenager had had enough, he sarcastically asked: “What's the matter old man, never done anything wild in your life?”
Boned Jello
Knowing my Dad, I quickly swallowed my food so that I would not choke on his response; I knew he would have a good one!

In classic style he responded without batting an eyelid …………

Frustrated by recent political setbacks, tea party leaders and some conservative members of the Oklahoma Legislature say they would like to create a new volunteer militia to help defend against what they believe are improper federal infringements on state sovereignty.

Is it scary? It sure is," said tea party leader Al Gerhart of Oklahoma City, who heads an umbrella group of tea party factions called the Oklahoma Constitutional Alliance. "But when do the states stop rolling over for the federal government? [Okla. tea parties and lawmakers envision militia]

Arizona lawmakers on Tuesday passed one of the toughest pieces of immigration-enforcement legislation in the country, which would make it a violation of state law to be in the U.S. without proper documentation.

It would also grant police the power to stop and verify the immigration status of anyone they suspect of being illegal.

In addition, the new Obama nuclear "strategy" leaves it up to lawyers - including, apparently, those of the International Atomic Energy Agency (whose members include China, Russia and Iran) - whether the United States will be allowed to use nuclear retaliation if we are attacked with chemical weapons, deadly biological viruses or electric grid-cratering cyberwarfare. Like the rest of the president's denuclearization agenda, this exemplary act of restraint is supposed to dissuade the Iranian and North Korean regimes and other nuclear wannabes from thinking it important to have and wield "the Bomb." As William Safire would say, "Fuggedaboutit." [Sarah Palin clearly has gotten under President Obama's skin]

Half court press

A Conundrum, don't you think?

I think it remarkable that within a week of Tiger Woods crashing his Escalade, the press found every woman with whom he had an affair in the prior two years, with photos, text messages, recorded phone calls, etc.

And, they not only know the cause of the family fight, but they even know it was a wedge from his golf bag that his wife used to break out the windows in the Escalade.  Not only that, they know which wedge!

And, each and every day, they gave America updates on his sex-rehab stay, his wife's plans for divorce, and his plans to return to the pro golf circuit.

Obama has been in office for over a year now, and this same press still cannot locate Obama's official birth certificate, or any of his papers while in college, or how he paid for a Harvard education, or which country issued his visa to travel to Pakistan in the 1980's (as Barry Soetoro).  They just can't be found.

Yet, the public still trusts that same press to give them the whole truth.   Truly remarkable.

Kill American Free Card

A Tale of Two Cities

In New York, Islamic states try to carve out an exception for killing Israeli and American civilians. In DC, they smile.
In Washington, the summit advertisement reads as follows: “Dedicated to nuclear security and the threat of nuclear terrorism.”  In New York, the UN’s “ad-hoc committee on measures to eliminate international terrorism” is gathered to talk about drafting the world’s first comprehensive convention against terrorism.  For the fourteenth time in ten years.

In Washington, the image is of President Obama sitting on a chair beaming like a Cheshire cat, opposite some lucky head of state.  The two are surrounded by smiling Obama appointees and everyone agrees that terrorism is bad. In New York, the very same states agree terrorism is naughty. It’s just that “resistance,” “armed struggle,” and “liberation” are not terrorism.

The major stumbling-block to the conclusion of a draft comprehensive convention against terrorism at the UN has been a concerted effort by Islamic states to carve out an exception for murdering civilians of their choosing. Israelis top the list, but Americans are not far behind.

His SCOTUS pick will be a doozy

He sure showed us
why Obama continues to denigrate his office, and us

What's going on? According to Dr Lucier, Obama's policy is to disestablish the United States, Great Britain and Europe from the hegemony of world power, and elevate in their place the hegemony of the Third World under international governance.

Remember, Obama is a deracinated individual. He has no roots. He is a man from an Asian-Pacific background bred to no admiration for the ancient constitutional history which, until now, has reached across the Atlantic to bind America and Britain.

The president actually feels that the US Constitution, which grew out of Magna Carta and the 1689 Bill of Rights, is 'inadequate.'
[America's first Third World president.]

But now the country has got what it unwittingly voted for — and at last we have evolved beyond the rhetoric and entered into the real liberal world of the way things must be. - Victor David Hanson

Sarkozy- Obama Insane

French Leader Sarkozy Slams Obama,
Warns He Might Be Insane

Boned Jello

According to this report, Sarkozy was “appalled” at Obama’s “vision”  of what the World should be under his “guidance” and “amazed”  at the American Presidents unwillingness to listen to either “reason”  or “logic”.
Apparently, as this report details, the animosity between Sarkozy and Obama arose out of how best the West can deal with the growing threat posed by rising Islamic fundamentalism. Both Sarkozy and his European neighbors had previously been supported in their efforts by the United States in forming an alliance to strengthen the integration of Muslim peoples into their societies ...

Crash the Tea Party

this is a top secret mission

Poor sick bastards, we

One sick lady
Boned Jello

Imagine the luck.  The patent goes to the Mayo Clinic for a complete physical, and discovers she has brain cancer, syphilis, lung cancer, hemorrhoids, scurvy, clogged arteries, anal warts, auto immune disease, and acid reflux.

The patient in this case is Miss Liberty, and her problems are also known, in Barn Army patois, as  liberal educators, the democrat party, gummint regulatory commissions, local gummint, lawyers, the IRS,  unions, bad judges, Democrat media complex, taxes, taxes, mo  taxes.

Where to begin?  Well, auto immune disease (bad judges)  is flaring up - again, so let's look at that malignancy.

On Friday, a federal District Court judge tried to indirectly reinstate the D.C. handgun ban.  Judge Ricardo Urbina , a Clinton appointee, wants to make it so difficult for people living in DC to use a handgun defensively that few will get one.

Last September, a Washington Post reporter, Christian Davenport, found out just how difficult it still is to get a handgun in D.C. even after the Supreme Court struck down the city's handgun ban. Excluding the price of the gun, the reporter spent $558.69 in various fees to get through the approval process. But that was only part of the cost. It took him "a total of 15 hours 50 minutes, four trips to the Metropolitan Police Department, two background checks, a set of fingerprints, a five-hour class and a 20-question multiple-choice exam."

So when do these types of regulations constitute just as much of a ban on handguns as an outright ban? A dollar tax solely on newspapers would clearly be struck down as unconstitutional. The power to regulate can destroy both the First and Second Amendments.[A Gun Ban By Any Other Name...]
As you can see,  auto immune disease is particularly pernicious, because even after successful treatment (legislation) it will rise to attack the system anew, destroying everything. Unfortunately, the only known cure today is to kill the cloned patient, reproduce from that clone, and destroy deadly microorganisms as they appear. That'll be $50, and I don't accept Obamacare.

What? No flux capacitator?

A marvel of engineering..

Several years ago, Rockwell International decided to get into the heavy duty transmission business. We were getting ready to tape our first introduction video, as a warm up, the professional narrator began what has become a legend within the trucking industry. This man should have won an academy for his stellar performance. Now remember this is strictly off the cuff, nothing is written down, this became the biggest talk in the industry, vs our new product which we were introducing. I think you will enjoy this once in a lifetime performance from this gentleman.

Tom Coburn Jumps the Shark

Coburn WTF
He went on to bash Fox, saying, "Don't catch yourself being biased by Fox News that somebody is no good, the people in Washington are good, they just don't know what they don't know."

According to the Senator, constituents should balance Fox with CNN, because it's unhealthy to get the news from one source.  He, himself, reads two newspapers, the New York Times and the Washington Post, because listening to both sides puts things in context, and knowing different views "makes you a better person."

A better person?  If the Times improves character, may I suggest porn to enhance Bible study.  Coburn sounds like a camp counselor who's spent too much time at a yoga retreat. To know thy enemy is good, but recognize one thing: they are the enemy.
[Coburn bashes Fox, praises Pelosi].

Boned Jello

The last Senator to go from staunchly reliable conservative to numbfuk, in one heartbeat, was Orrin Hatch in 1993. As chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, and to the complete dismay of conservatives, he turned a blind eye to trashy Clinton nominees coming before his committee, and none were trashier than  Janet Reno.  Hatch refused to hear from any witnesses lined up to testify about Reno's misconduct as Miami's state's attorney, and likety-split she was A/G.

A little later, I read a small news item about the justice department dropping its probe of Senator Hatch's involvement in the BCCI scandal.  Huh?  I had no idea he was even being probed.  Prolly nobody did, because it was announced by the Clinton DOJ on the very day of his inauguration, Jan 20, 1993.  (In 2001 Hatch admitted to "shielding Reno from right -wing confirmation critics. )  There were other rumors circulating about, but I've always believed that Hatch made that deal with the devil over BCCI.

Now we have Coburn.  Read the whole article [Coburn bashes Fox, praises Pelosi].  I can think of but 5 reasons for his statements.  In the order of their likelihood:
  1. He's bored being a Senator  (but likes being a prince).
  2. He's having an affair with a sophisticated eastern liberal
  3. Had just popped some Ecstasy
  4. Has some enmity for fellow Sen. Inhofe, and is lashing out
  5. He never read his own book .
Whatever the reason, Dr. Coburn has clearly jumped the shark.  Sigh.
