So Just How Stupid Are Liberals Anyway?

“Stupid and Inexcusable” is the liberal method, mantra, and motto

So Just How Stupid Are Liberals Anyway?

King Gruber

Seeing as how liberal stupidity is a given, the question becomes one of degree—just how stupid are liberals?  Are they off-the-charts stupid, or simply low-wattage-dim-bulb stupid?

Please don’t mistake my question for being merely some snarky ad hominem attack.  You have only to look at the recent questioning of John Gruber by Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC) in order to see the truth of things.

As Dietrich Bonhoeffer said before his execution by Nazis in WW II, “Not to speak is to speak.” Indeed—so the “intellectual community’s” silence in the face of Gruber’s “glib, stupid, thoughtless, inexcusable” comments amounts to tacit approval. Referring to the “intellectual community’s” implied agreement with Gruber’s remarks, Issa commented “I guess what you said was popular in that community.”
When Gruber called the American voters stupid and easily fooled (and he’s a frou-frou professor from MIT, so he should know) he was obviously not referring to the conservative electorate, who knew that ObamaCare was a pig in a poke from the get-go.

No, Gruber was referring to liberals, the mindless herd that gets its marching orders from NPR, “The New York Times.” and other such propaganda outlets (they don’t call them “useful idiots” for nothing).

When Gruber was recently questioned by Gowdy regarding comments that Gruber had made regarding the Affordable Care Act (ObamaCare), Gruber characterized his own comments as being variously: glib, thoughtless, stupid, arrogant, and inexcusable.  (Gruber, as I am sure most everyone knows by now, was one of the chief architects of ObamaCare).

Gowdy: Do you see a trend developing here, professor Gruber?

Gruber: I don’t understand the question.

Gowdy:  [That’s] a lot of stupid quotes you’ve made, that’s the trend.

Gruber:  A lot of stupid and inexcusable quotes.

“Stupid and Inexcusable” is the liberal method, mantra, and motto

Bingo!  Give the man a cigar and a Kewpie doll.  “Stupid and Inexcusable” is the liberal method, mantra, and motto.  But, wait, it gets better.

After Mr. Gowdy finished his questioning, Darrell Issa, chairman of the House Oversight Committee, asked Gruber “When you made these repeated comments, your glib inappropriate comments, in an intellectual community with lots of other like-minded people…did anyone come to you and tell you that what you were saying was inappropriate?”  To which Gruber replied “Not that I can recall, no.”

And this “intellectual community” is what passes for America’s “best and brightest” these days.  God help us all.

These are the “elites,” the puppet-masters that pull the strings and give the marching orders to the liberal “useful idiots.”  If the puppet-masters are glib, stupid, and thoughtless, then what does that make the liberals that follow them?

Dumb as a box of rocks.  (These are the people, after all, who said “but of course” when Pelosi told us that we needed to pass ObamaCare so that we could find out what was in ObamaCare).  So there’s your answer to the question posed in this article’s title: just how stupid are liberals?  Pretty darn stupid.

But don’t be lulled into complacency by their stupidity—they can be vicious and crazy as well.  I would no sooner turn my back on a liberal than a rabid dog—but that’s the topic for another article. Cananda Free Press FULL LINKS AND COMMENTS

Dana Milbank; Douchebag

There Are Eight Million Douchebag Stories
in the 'Liberal World.'  This is Just One of Them

Last week Dana Milbank, the noted Op-Ed writer for the Washington Post, recovered himself admirably after the baleful events of November 4th, and picked through the post-election wreckage, presumably looking to assign blame. Milbank’s studied conclusion was that President Obama should be tagged with the blame for the electoral debacle, which is not, in itself, a particularly startling finding. Milbank, however, does not pin the onus on Obama for his lack of leadership, his wrong-headed policies, or his general disinterest in his job. He reasons that Obama brought this defeat on himself by delaying his amnesty executive order until after the election. Milbank declares that such a bold and largely anti-constitutional move “would cement the Hispanic loyalty to the (Democratic) Party in the long run.” Mr. Milbank also claims that the open flouting of the national immigration laws “…is what is best for the country.” He did gave away the game, however, when he let it slip that Obama’s planned executive order is really a scheme to create another ten million Democratic voters.

In the heart of this column Milbank illustrates the liberal game plan at its worst. He is smug, smarmy, and never fails to remind the readers of liberalism’s assured moral superiority. He repeats the liberal echo chamber stock phrase that amnesty is “right” and “best for the country”, and that a politician should worry more about doing the right thing rather than political expediency. The repetition of these tiresome liberal hymns actually does serve to turn the daily debate in the Leftist favor. [Milbank’s Lament: Amnesty, Missed Opportunities and Lost Elections]

Since Monday, school district officials in Grosse Pointe, Michigan, first canceled a decision to allow Rick Santorum to speak at Grosse Pointe South High School, then reversed that cancellation.

There is a catch, though: students who want to see the former U.S. senator and presidential hopeful must first obtain permission from their parents. [full]

I guess a BJ would be out of the question?

Today's veddy smug and ignorant Liberal twattle.

I guess a BJ is out of the question?

Ain't that cute?  Imagine, the GOP actually once supported equal rights?  Must have been in 1861, because in my memory no Republican platform has escaped being called "extremist," and "right-wing" by these harpies.

Of course the GOP are against people making higher wages, right?  That's why they keep finding new ways to bleed them with new taxes.  Oh, right.  Ahem.  Wait— Mz. Terkel must be excused for confusing a free market with government mandated wage scales;  it's all just too confusing for the pasty-face cloister.

And, Mz. Terkel, under what particular part of our Constitution is there the right for a gaggle of Terkels to spend my money promoting their idea of art?  Just asking.

This is all silly, and shame on me for wasting your time, and mine.  A knee jerk,  This is why were at war with them. Click-Click.

Public scolds on the brink ...

Members of activist groups protest Great State of Maine Air Show
About 75 people protested Saturday
Res Ipsa Loquitor

Veterans for Peace was one of the groups that protested the air show of war planes at Brunswick Landing.

Along with the negative environmental effects, the group said events like these glorify war.

According to the group, Thunderbird airplanes drop bombs and kill people.

Group members said these planes should not be used to entertain. [Full]

First off, here are your Veterans for Peace.  Secondly, and radical leftist affiliations aside,  I wonder if these  common scolds and barrators (more commonly called MFCS) are aware of how close many  Americans are to exploding in a fury against them and their ilk?  Not me. I'm too law abiding and in control.  Others.

Chicagoans hungry to flip the bird to Rahm, nicely

The line at 12:10pm extended down the city block from the entrance, full of Chicagoans who, it would seem, don’t share Mayor Rahm Emanuel’s definition of “Chicago Values.”

Some of you asked just what the scene’s like on Chick-fil-A appreciation day in Chicago, home to #ChicagoValues, and the city at the heart of the controversy over Chick-fil-A after our mayor congratulated an alderman in shutting the company out of opening a second location within the city limits.

Chick-fil-A mini rival, New York-based eatery Schnipper's Quality Kitchen has announced plans to donate a portion of its proceeds throughout the month of August to benefit marriage equality. Once again, I think the left have misread what this is about.

Yes, there are cultural, religious, and  traditional value reasons up the ying-yang  for opposing gay marriage, but there's another reason for hopping to Chic-Filet's defense.  This chap makes the point in Legal Insurrection's comments:

I think that the liberals “in-your-face” tactics towards businesses, free speech and pursuit of the ridiculous will really haunt them in November.

I think that even the dumbed down public is fed up with this BS, political correctness and the total lack of common sense.

Hopefully, many in this liberal cabal of thieves, liars and oppressors will be evicted in November beginning with the head, “You didn’t build this,” supporter.

RED CROSS FINDS WAR CRIMES

Delegates at the 31st International Conference of the Red Cross (ICRC) and Red Crescent raised the concerns over the potential “International Humanitarian Law” violations – which can constitute war crimes - during a workshop in Geneva.

Oh my, if you think the Hague is looking for more American war crimes, you'd be right.  Well, not just Americans.  Barn Army's mary confessed to me, "I'm  a war criminal from my childhood"

“Exactly how video games influence individuals is a hotly debated topic, but for the first time, Movement partners discussed our role and responsibility to take action against violations of IHL in video games,” the Red Cross wrote in its daily bulletin.

Nuts about JoePa

Liberal Asshattery
Tomasky finds JoePa

Jumping to Illusions

THE CRIME
On the evening of March 1, 2002, Sandusky, it is alleged, was raping a 10-year-old boy in his anus. A 10-year-old boy. In the very showers used by the Nittany Lions players. A boy Sandusky had seduced with promises of things like tickets to games and visits to the mighty Penn State locker room. A graduate assistant, also a former star quarterback and today still an assistant to Paterno, saw it and went to his father. His father told him to go not to the police, according to the report, but to Paterno. The great man would make it right.

MITIGATING
And you respected Penn State. You had to. They were good, and they were good: fine young men, early to integrate, high graduation rates. All that was Paterno. A literature major at Brown, for chrissakes. Yet another thing to like about him.

UNMITIGATING
I liked him less after he joined the Big 10, crushing Eastern conference hopes (a move that reverberates to this day, as we watch the Big East conference asphyxiate). I liked him less still when I read that he (and Lou Holtz) had attended Newt Gingrich’s birthday party in 1995.

REMITIGATING
That was mitigated many years later when I saw that his son had endorsed Barack Obama and his daughter (?)  Hillary Clinton in 2008. “I brought my kids up to think for themselves from Day One,” Paterno said, rather charmingly, at the time.  Michael Tomasky, The Daily Beast

After Sandusky, the people most deserving of contempt are the kid's parents,  for punting  I'm no Penn State fan, but it's sad to see a pretty good man, by all accounts, gone wrecked  for what essentially is a crime of misplaced loyalty.  Anyway, it is what it is.

Here's the thing about unctuous sermonizing by liberals like Tomasky though. They are famously selective about who, and what, triggers outrage.  They'll  reach into the can of nuts and extract juicy political cashews, ignoring myriad Lib peanuts (e.g. Bill Clinton and John Edwards) alone, in their rancid turpitude.

I believe that I am a moral person, but if I am confronted some day with a situation that requires real moral bravery of me, where I really have to choose, and it will hurt—would I do the right thing?
Only if the politics suit you. It's the Lib disease.
