Sarah! Sarah!

Today's Good News (Gospel)
Former Alaska governor Sarah Palin (R), who has been largely out of the public eye through much of the spring, will reemerge Sunday as she begins a national bus tour that will put her back in the spotlight and no doubt renew speculation about a possible presidential bid. [Full]

Now, let me tell you why this is great news ....

I don't understand why, but I do know not all of you share my enthusiasm for a Palin presidential campaign.  But you should be happy as hell that she'll try, for this reason.

Win or lose, Sarah Palin will define the issues that the 2012 election will hinge on.  What the GOP is offering as we speak are the traditional clusterfluck of  b-s artists and, you know, McCains. Yeah, a few, well maybe just one, Herman Cain, can electrify a room, but the rest are yawners.  Sarah Palin will come out swinging; talking stuff that milquetoasts would never hazard.  She, better than any of them, will operate in the firestorm of media hostility with no flapping.  Sarah Palin will ignite things.  It may be that the GOP still has enough punch left to knock her out, or the anticipated multi-billion dollar (in kind) media attack campaign will succeed, but the man left standing will have embraced her ideas.  And that's a good thing.

When bad judges interpret the law

Teh Law According to Garp

Gorp-tard Law

So far, and recently, every challenge to Obamacare has been upheld by Republican judges, but rejected by Democrats.  Ditto Arizona's Illegal  Alien laws. Ditto damn near any social issue brought before the courts. Just now I see that  a Wisconsin 'crat judge, a county judge!  —  Maryann Sumi (the same judge who refused to order striking teachers back to work in February, and whose son is a SEIU activist)  struck down Wisconsin's legislation repealing most collective bargaining for public employees.

This ladies and gentleman is the picture of a house divided.

Well, not quite.  Only about 30% of us, Democrats all, have managed,  through every trick, connivance and treachery imaginable, to grab enough reins of power to to undermine, or nullify the people's  will.  These scoundrels use our reverence for the law against us, so the ignorant voter feels obliged to suffer along.  The stock answer to this sort of criticism is, always, "yes the system is flawed, but it's still the best in the world." Really?  This is the best we can do? Because it it unquestionably a recipe for (a coming) explosion.

Our judicial system is corrupt.  What happens when a people despair of getting justice?  That's right, vigilantism.  And it may —  this time —  be a good thing. I'm just saying.  It's my personal opinion, and I hope I am wrong, that necessary changes will not come peaceably.  But they damn near need changing, one way or another.  Say Amen..

The GOP Whore

GOP sees Obama rift as way to woo Jews
Yes, we the Republican party have strong core beliefs.
(Modifications on Request)

The GOP Whore

What we have here is the reason, I said THE REASON, why the GOP is no longer relevant, and is instead a huge distraction.
  • Must woo Jews
  • Must Black voter.outreach
  • Must position ourselves to win illegal alien vote
  • Blah-blah-blah

Supposedly, the reason for the Jew-Democrat rift is Obama's alliance with Arab nations bent on destroying Israel.  Well, Jews have had 30 years now to recognize that Republicans have been stalwart allies of Israel, while Democrats have, at best,  included them in myriad negotiations with Islamic terrorists.  Negotiations never to Israel's advantage.

Elephant on a trampoline
Unlike Blacks, who are so in the thrall of this idiotic racist dogma,  as to be near hopeless,  Jews,  educated as they are, ought be immune to that sort of cultural mythology. Instead, the  prominent American Jew—  what I call the Hollywood Jew,  is  first a socialists/communist; a Democrat second, and observant Jew somewhere after that. When it's convenient.   In short, leftist ideology trumps all.

That's just the way it is . You must never pander. To anyone. Ever.  If these sorry-asses are to be won over, it will come from steady and principled application of a belief system that has a solid history of success. Like promoting  freedom, and the personal responsibility that goes with it.

Tornado Train (April 2011)
woooo-wooooooooarghhh

This is wild. watch the trees in the background. Here is something you do not see too often.  This video came from a fellow who works for the RR as a train dispatcher. Every once in a while he sends a cool video involving trains.  This is one of them.  Trains nowadays mount cameras in their cabs, facing forward and backward, the same way police cars do. This video is a rear-view camera.  This is video of a train that ran through a tornado. First there is the normal rear-view from the last of three engines, with the trees looking normal. Then you begin to see rain, and then, halfway through the video the trees begin to sway violently . . . and then the "fun" begins. - cuzzin ricky

Victories for Socialism

"It was a victory for socialism" —  TIME's Joe Klein
MSNBC ALL-STARS

For the last two years, Republicans have been lambasting Barack Obama who is right in the middle of the political spectrum, a mild liberal, as being a wild-eyed socialist. Well, there ain't anything that he has proposed that is purely socialistic as our Medicare program; a single payer program run by the government. And the folks love it
To the extent that socialism was founded, and is dependent on falsehoods and legerdemain, yes; a victory for socialism.

RAW MILK

" ... actually unpasteurized, unhomogenized milk. Big difference. Raw Milk is usually refering to the milk that comes from a cow who has just calved. It is full of blood spots, slime and other gross components and is usually just fed to the calves. It takes about 3 to 5 days for the milk to “clear up” enough for human consumption."
As an erstwhile summer-time farm boy what milked cows, I know what cow milk from the teat tastes like.  Grammaw made me drink it as punisment for trampling her parsnips, and such. Still, where does the great government brood sow get off trumping ganny's preogatives?

EtTu Ron Paul?

When Republicans Evolve

Political Evolution
A strange thing is afoot in the little libertarian corner of the Republican presidential primary: a race to the left on immigration. U.S. Rep. Ron Paul, until recently something of an immigration hawk — no amnesty, no birthright citizenship, no welfare benefits — has, as they say, evolved.
[...]
Paul instead praises the “superior” work ethic of immigrants and cites anti-Hispanic prejudice as the source of immigration hawks’ energy ... .[Border Wars]
Ron Paul is was, alas, the only person after Sarah Palin who I would consider voting ofr in 2012.

Fake Tea Party Candidate throws House Seat to Democrats

Jack Kemp's old House seat (Buffalo) went Democrat for the first time ever yesterday.  Demorats will crow that  liberal Democrat Kathy Hochul was successful because she painted the Republican Jane Corwin as backing the GOP budget plan "that would kill Medicare."

Current Events notes that "Because of his ballot designation and outsider status, Davis, a Democrat who was actually the Democratic candidate in the 26th in ’06, was taking votes (about 7%) of conservative independents from Republican Corwin."

Get ready.

Aside: This is what I don't get.  Davis is about 90 years old.  Why didn't someone send him a message?  Kidnap his grandkids?  Burn his house down?  Am I missing something?

Batteries Low and Mau-Mau Memories

Batteries Low and Mau-Mau Memories

Battery Low

My wireless keyboard acts like Obama often does, when its batteries are low.  I type ABCD and it produces  AbC8.  Cyber boy must need a tune-up.

And what's this "commemorate our common heritage and common sacrifices"?  Granted, we have very limited knowledge about robo-president's past, here on earth, but we do know of the Obama's history with British East Africa (later called Kenya).

The Obamas were Mau-Maus (why am I suddenly thinking of Otis Day at the Dexter Lake Club?)  Anyway, considering how the British Army dispatched the Mau-Maus, including grampa Bam, I don't think you call that a common sacrifice?  I mean, yeah, a sacrifice by Gramps,  who hear-tell was a bit teched in the head afterwards,  but it was  mostly fun for the Brits, one imagines.

These Obamas a strange people.
Mua-Mau Memories

Buncha shit
I switched to Firefox 4 last week, and was initially pleased.  Then, after spending more time than I should have had to, to get Firefox to save open windows on closing (still not accomplished), this.  When I tried to post this morning I got the Blogger sign-in page.  I tried about 20 times without success.  Okay, I went to IE and signed right in using the same PW.  But I don't like IE, because it's like an old whore wearing stinky perfume.  It smells like a funeral parlor. But there you have it.

Last week I activated the Verizon cellphone my son Hucker gave me.  I never wanted one, but realized it was nice to have in case I drove to the store and forget where I was. He thought it was nice, because when that happened his mom called and told him, "go find your father."  This Verizon phone met my one criterion; it was a pre-paid account, so no additional Verizon bills. At 99/call, the initial $10 should last through Christmas, at least.

Anyway, Mo Sup was out of town, so I called her with the number in case she had to reach me.  I also called my daughter and gave her the number.  I had a Dr. appointment, so in the waiting room I decided to check this thing out.  It was dead.  Not only was it dead, but even after charging it up, it was dead.  It's broke.  I tried to access My Verizon,  but I couldn't get in.  Why?  Because by now I had Firefox 4.1, and Roboform was no longer supported.  Since Verizon issues passwords every time you fart, over the years I've collected about a million of them.  I went down the list (using Roboform), but none worked.

I don't need this shit.  I don't want this shit.   I hate this shit.  What a bunch of shit, wot?

The Neverending Story

Ken Burns Baseball
Ahem

Ken Burns Civil Rights Special

Over the past few weeks I watched Ken Burns Baseball.  I skipped the  premier run on PBS,  because I wasn't willing to commit to a series that long (and I'm an all-or-nothing personality).  Also, I was quite busy here, saving the union from the spector of  a "President Kerry."  While I enjoyed it, somewhere around the 1960's it struck me that a better title would be Ken Burns Civil Rights: Oppression of the American Negro.

While I acknowledge the injustice of barring Black Americans from playing in the major leagues (through an owner's gentleman's agreement), that was resolved by Jackie Robinson in 1949.  But, no.  Burns is entirely caught up in the American Liberal's concept of original sin, from which there is no atoning for.  Ever.  Even electing a mystery man with no past as president, because he's black, has only led to more racial turmoil.

Jim Piersall (CLICK)
Ken Burns style, of course, is to employ a kind-of deus-ex-machina device.  In his Civil War series, it was the disembodied voice reading poignant letters, or historians like Shelby Foote and FDR apologist Doris Kearns Goodwin chipping in with historical insights, with still pictures in the backdrop.  In Baseball,  Goodwin (is she sleeping with Burns?) quite nicely recalls growing up in Brooklyn, and her passion for the Dodgers.  Baseball aficionado George Will  is there too. Negro League superstar Buck O'Neil was himself a mainstay  He has a kindly, sage visage, and is a very effective story teller (I want to cite Uncle Remus, but can't. Obviously).

So much time (I'm guessing about 30%) is spent on baseball's apartheid, that unless you played for a New York baseball club, or made a error whilst playing for Boston, you may as well had never played.  How can nearly a full day's (22 hours)  focus on the sport miss Cleveland's (Fear Strike Out) Jimmy Piersall? Or knuckleballer Hoyt Wilhelm (whom I watch no-hit the hated Yankees)?  Nuh-uh.  No time.  The list goes on and on.

If you're are a young Black-kid watching this series, you probably  leave with a feeling of bitterness (as did Jackie Robinson himself leave baseball).  No wonder we can't seem to move-on in this country. It's not allowed.

As an aside -  In my yoot,  I despised Curt Flood for challenging baseball's reserve clause, the system whereby a player was owned by a club.  Because it just made no sense to me that government could dictate to the owners how they run their business,  Especially in this, where as Flood points out, the public perception was a battle of millionaire ball-players suing millionaire owners for their freedom.  After watching Flood in this series, I grew to admire, and even like him, without siding with him.  This is not a bitter man, but a man.  Who walked his talk. But here's what made my jaw drop.

In 1994 the players went on strike (causing cancellation the World Series!) over baseball owner's attempt to impose a salary cap.  It came down to a federal judge to determine —

...  if baseball’s leaders had undermined collective bargaining by trying to abandon some of the fundamental ways in which they dealt with the players. The owners’ militancy symbolized their frustrations with player salaries, and with how frequently the union had outflanked management in negotiations and public relations.

The judge ruled for the players  The judge was Sonia Sotomayor

Arrest Dupnik

Is the message too subtle for you, sheriff?

The Pima County sheriff's office is now claiming that the Iraq vet they pumped sixty bullets into was part of a "home invasion ring", although they still won't let anybody peek at the warrant or what, if anything, they took from the dead guy's house. As has been pointed out, apparently the Pima Co. Sheriff's department operates under looser rules of engagement than the slain Marine ever did in Iraq.
Revoltin' Joe

Assuming, for one moment, that this isn't a big fat stinking lie of a coverup, sheriff Dupnik, I want you to see if you can wrap your tiny mind around a simple piece of fact:

If your people weren't dressing up like masked thugs and kicking doors down and shooting people, then robbers wouldn't be able to impersonate your people by dressing up like masked thugs and kicking doors down and shooting people, in turn necessitating your people dressing up like masked thugs and kicking their doors down and shooting them. [Tam continued]

Well done Tam. Dupnik, you may remember, is the sheriff who, in the wake of the Giffords shooting, described Arizona as "a state of Minuteman vigilantism, death threats against politicians and judges, talk-radio demagoguery, and bullying of Latinos blah-blah-blah]. Earlier this dewberry held a press conference and blamed talk radio and television for a decline in America. Of course Dupa-Dupnik refused to enforce Arizona's illegal alien law, which of course makes him an outlaw himself, and in the west I think that means he can be arrested by anyone — and shot of he resists.  You might want to check that a little further however.  Sometimes I confuse what-is with what-oughta-be.

Blast from the past

The way new Blogger works is any changes to the logo or blog format are applied universally through the archives.  So I was surprised to find this artifact in my own archives.  If I remember correctly, I was telling a story on myself in this post. This is how I met Juice and Mr. Juice.  She stumbled across my blog and recognized Vanessa Dobbs as her daughters room-mate!  Vanessa left the Air Force when her enlistment was up, and went to college.  Juice Jr. is still in the Air Force and last I heard was shooting Talibanners from pretty much that same window.

A man was tired of being bossed around by his wife so he went to a shrink. The psychiatrist said he needed to build his self-esteem, and gave him a book on assertiveness.

He had finished the book by the time he reached his house. The man stormed into the house and walked up to his wife. Pointing a finger in her face, he said,

"From now on, I want you to know that - I -am the man of this house, and my word is law! I want you to prepare me a gourmet meal tonight, and when I'm finished eating my meal, I expect a sumptuous dessert afterward. Then, after dinner, you're going to draw me my bath so I can relax. And, when I'm finished with my bath, guess who's going to dress me and comb my hair?"
"The fucking funeral director," said his wife.

Who?

.. it's niggled at me for ages ... .

Honestly, and this is a personal thing ... but it's niggled at me for ages that no one who ever dated him ever showed up. The simple fact of his charisma that caused the women to be drawn to him so obviously during his campaign, looks like some lady would not have missed the opportunity

We all know about JFK's magnetism, McCain was no monk, Palin's courtship and even her athletic prowess were probed... Biden's aneurysms are no secret. Look at Cheney and Clinton - we all know about their heart problems and certainly speaking of the opposite sex, how could I have left out Wild Bill before or during the White House? Nope ... not one lady has stepped up and said, "He was soooo shy..." or "What a great dancer!!" Now look at the rest of this... no classmates, not even the recorder for the  Columbia class notes ever heard of him

Who was the best man at his wedding? Start there. Then check groomsmen.

Then get the footage of the graduation ceremony. Has anyone talked to the  professors? It is odd that no one is bragging that they knew him or taught  him or lived with him.

When did he meet Michele and how? Are there photos there? Every president  gives to the public all their photos, etc. for their library, etc. What has  he released? And who in hell voted for him to be the most popular man in  2010?????
Does this make you wonder? Ever wonder why no one ever came forward from President Obama's past saying  they knew him, attended school with him, was his friend, etc. ?? Not one  person has ever come forward from his past.

.... I just dunno about this fellow.

FDR & Jesse Owens

From the Where is your God now Files
Jesse Owens Stand-in
At the event, Hitler only shook hands with the German victors and then left, and the Olympic committee decided that Hitler must greet every medalist or not greet any medalists at all.  Hitler opted not to shake anyone's hand or greet or congratulate anyone at all.  Although people expected Jesse Owens to be upset by being snubbed by Hitler, he felt that it was President Franklin Delano Roosevelt who snubbed him, as he did not even send Jesse a telegram with his congratulations.  In fact, Jesse was not once invited to the White House or given any honors by Franklin D. Roosevelt or Harry Truman, the following president.  It was not until 1955 when President Dwight D. Eisenhower acknowledged Owens' achievements.

Whenever I see an article with some Liberal/Democrat blasting yet again, the Conservatives/Republicans/Tea Partiers,

Trumped Truth

So, Mo Sup walks into a bar....
Trump
I recently expressed to MoSup my suspicions about Donald Trump's role in the Great Obama birth certificate to-do.  To wit:

He blows into the room, leveling all the charges against Obama that dominate the interwebs, but not the Liberal media.
His citizenship. The fact that he has no classmates —  at any level of his American schooling — who remember him.  Trump simultaneously announces his plan to explore a 2012 presidential run, because, don't you know,  the Republican field is so pitiful.  Polls show immediate ascendancy into the upper tiers of candidates.  Good on you Donald!  The man who has the guts to do the media's job!  USA-UAS-USA!

Then, in mid-April, this caused even me to wake-up.

The man behind Donald Trump’s possible 2012 presidential campaign is a registered Democrat who voted for Barack Obama in 2008.

Not only that, but Michael Cohen, an executive at the Trump Organization who doubles as Trump’s chief political adviser, once volunteered for 1988 presidential candidate Michael Dukakis and worked for a Democratic member of Congress.

When Obama did suddenly come forth with a birth-certificate, it took Trump exactly two-seconds to be quoted on DRUDGE taking credit.
Obama releases his birth certificate and chides silliness of issue; Trump claims victory.  ”

I expected a "if it's real. let me look at it" from Trump. Instead, he said "well, what about his college records?  That allowed the White House to slam all the doors shut, with no whimper from the DT.

"He's almost 50 years old and he's president of the United States and I don't think anybody would debate his intelligence and so now we need to get serious ... let's just get serious and get back to focusing on what's important," senior Obama adviser Valerie Jarrett said on The Joe Madison Show this morning.

Yup, from now on only the insane will push the subject of Obama's past, and will be ridiculed by  their own kind.  Beauty.

My expressed feeling at the time was a question.  Did Obama use Trump to get this serious question into-the-open ?  It had become a threat to Barry's reelection.  I mean, there is no way Obama is going to respond to WND, or Jerome Corsi, whose book "Where's the Birth Certificate" was scheduled for release.  He had to get his corporate news team involved; get them to be the ones demanding answers.  I saw no hint of annoyance on The Donald's face while Obama supposedly humiliated him at the Correspondents’ dinner; he was all impish smiles. (Obama ridicules Trump at Correspondents’ dinner, mocks ‘birther’ crusade)

SO, this morning MoSup comes back from church and says. "I have to tell you this before I forget any of it.   The guy who wrote the Where's the Birth Certificate book (Jerome Corsi) is on Tom Marr's (WCBM) radio show, saying ...
  • — he was warned that Trump would be coming forward to do some spade work for Obama
  • — he has six deeply embedded sources in Hawaii; one told him that the hospital registry of births now held an entry for Obama "that wasn't there yesterday"
  • — Corsi said he'll be closely watching Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel's effort to start casino gambling in Chicago.   He suspects Trump will be a major winner. As he was when GE renewed his Apprentice  television show.
Can we be manipulated any easier?  Sheesh.

CLINTON. I thought they'd look into it. But, you know, I just think a crazy person like Larry Nichols is not enough to get a story on the television with names in it.

FLOWERS. Right. Well, he better not get on there and start naming names.

CLINTON. Well, that's what I mean. You know, if all the people who are named....deny it...That's all, I mean, I expect them to come look into it and interview you and everything, uh, but I just think that if everybody's on record denying it you've got no problem.

FLOWERS. Well, I don't think...I don't think it...I don't....Well, why would they waste their money and time coming down here unless someone showed 'em some interest? See, they weren't here tonight and they're not going to be there.

CLINTON. No, no. See, that's it. I mean, they're gonna run this Larry Nichols thing down, they're gonna try to goad people up, you know, but if everybody kinda hangs tough, they're just not going to do anything. They can't.

FLOWERS. No. They can't. [The Clinton Doctrine]

Thuth-O-Meter

Sitting atop the list of Clinton legacies is the Clinton Doctrine.

"If you deny it, how are they going to prove it?"

That sort of morphed into "If you lie, and keep lying — and even go on the attack,  people who want to like you will stick with you,"  Today, there is no Truth Meter.  No single arbiter to pronounce judgment.  I don't know that there ever was that person, or thing,  but I do know none seemed to be required.  That's what kilt us.  That we require a Truth-O-Meter.  But wait.  Would it matter?  Oh crap.  No it wouldn't.  Truth from God's lips would be an inconvenient truth for half of us, and rejected.

Today, in 2011, we are without a common language,  without a  common religion, without a common moral code, and, hell, without even a common historical accounting of what happened in the past!

Is there hope? There's always hope.  As long as there's a palpable heart beat, and there is.  I think.  It's a dicey thing day-to-day. It's Liberalism what kilt us.

The Mysterious Mr. Bubbles

Blowing Bubbles

A time for swordmen

A job for super heroes, alas.
Columbo WTF?

May2, 2011
Last week was pretty damned exciting, wot.  The Donald either —  1) Forced Obama to produce a birth certificate; or 2) gave Obama his stage direction to unveil a very expensive piece of art. I'm letting all this to percolate for awhile, but in the meantime some very smart men gave us birthers a proper spanking.  There was John Bolton's " the notion that it’s an issue worth talking about [is] not entirely rational.”  Then, Thomas Sowell bespaked:
The birth-certificate issue does more political damage to Obama’s critics than to the president himself, because it enables the media to paint those critics as kooks.
Ouch.  Is Dr. Sowell saying that fear of being labeled by the left-media is reason to abjure?  Interesting.  I'm going to let this shake out.  If I have a fault *snort*  it's one of them is that I won't let something go if it's important to me.  You will see me then as either being this guymonkey boy, or  this guyEmile Zola .  We'll see. But for now, this is what keeps me interested —
(pretend this a movie script outline)
  1. Obama spent in the neighborhood of  $2,800,000 (supposedly his own money, heh) fighting against having to produce the birth certificate.
  2. At least three versions of the (meaningless) Certification of Live Birth were released, each fixing obvious frauds on the previous release.  Duh.
  3. The new Democrat Governor of Hawaii, upon taking office, promised he would produce the birth certificate, only later to admit nobody could find one.
  4. A former Hawaiian Senior Elections Clerk signed an affidavit that he was told there was no Obama certificate on file in Hawaii.
  5. Chiyome Fukino (a known Obama agent, caught in numerous lies) stated that the certification of birth that Obama released is the only document the state releases.
  6. Several states were considering legislation requiring future  presidential candidate to produce a valid birth certificate before being placed on the ballot.  This would  have effectively killed Obama's reelection.
  7. The number one selling book on Amazon —  "Where's the Birth Certificate"
  8. Donald Trump used the national stage to demand that Obama release  a birth certificate.
  9. Voila!  Well sumbitch, there it is. With "document experts" waiting in the wings to explain any anomalies, of which there were plenty.
Right. If you don't feel like throwing popcorn boxes at the screen, well God bless your for your ... something. Faith in government, I guess.

Here's a pretty damned good summation of why it took so long to get even this far.

Well, first of all you gotta go out and find the paper stock from 1961 which isn't easy in a moist climate like Hawaii.

Make it a ream since you're going to have to replace a lot of certificates with numbers leading up to and away from this one. At least 100 in each direction. (Might want to slowly and carefully assassinate some of those contemporary births with natural causes -- see the How-To Manuals from the Kennedy era.)

Then you gotta find and refurbish a typewriter from the era because you don't want those Free Republic weirdos catching you out with the font issue.

Then you've got to make sure you've got some vintage ribbons from the same era. Don't want ink from the 21st century on a document from the 20th, do we now. Ribbons are a harder score so you'd best hang out on ebay until these float up or go to that government warehouse where they keep the Ark of the Covenant. Whichever is quicker.)

Then you gotta get the mother/father signatures down (nothing in a Bic Gel Ink, thank you), and make sure the "attending" is either dead or permanently bribed with himself and his family under live-in smothering threat from natural born Samoans.

All in all it takes awhile to get this done, but you have to remember the secret slogan of the Obama Administration: "Rome wasn't burned in a day."  Vanderleun

Gerard Vanderleun is prezactly right. But, all that work is only necessary if the "original" certificate is to be released for inspection.  It was not.  Instead we got a "scanned" copy printed on safety paper. All that's required then, is a registration number consistent with others born in August, 1963, and a typeface consistent with the period/   If you can find a child born on August fourth, who died the next day, say a  Virginia Sunaharaa, there's one opportunity.

blah blah blah ....  Since I started taking notes back on May 2, not a day has gone by without some new evidence of fraud surfacing about the legitimacy of the new certificate; and nary a one is discussed anymore.  Without blue dress DNA, Obama is home free. The machinery to invoke the Soviet Union's practice of declaring dissenters insane is in place.  This job then is one for super heroes.  Men with the nads to look the Joker in the face, and flay him bare with blunt edged swords.

Electric VW

Okay, stop it.  I'm up.I'm up dammit! Stop

What was that?
Watch as an electric powered VW Beetle does naught-to-60 in 9.51 seconds. ... Oh, wait
—  I meant to say as it does a quarter-mile straight in 9.51 seconds.  And the Beetle is  1.7 seconds faster after he changed the batteries!

A commenter (maybe me? no.  I looked. I've never been there) wrote "call me when a battery-powered car wins the le man 24hr."

There's a certain resistance to electric powered cars because of the "green" lobby's influence.  Starting with me, as one, I hate their guts.  I hate that they've been allowed to hijack alternate fuel R&D under the utterly preposterous, and provenly contrived claims that the earth's very existence lies in the balance.  That very same smug and condescending blood clot who are, say,  Nancy Pelosi's comstitueney.  But this!  This type of demonstration sets a man's blood racing. Speed! It's competition.

This is where I'm at.  If I had access to a reliable electric car, that cost no more to purchase and operate than a gas burner, I'd buy it.   And that day is coming. In the meanwhile then, there is no reason not to make 100% use of  our oil resources.  Provide the cheap energy that jump-starts our economy, and cut OPEC out of America's business plan.

First we have to  rid ourselves of these Democrats. Butyou knew that.
