The Old Way Is Still Good

Here's an interesting gift idea, the Escoffier Cookbook.  I like that it's a translation of the original Guide Culinaire, , published in 1903 by Auguste Escoffier.  There are no directions beginning, "Heat oven to 350º ... . "  Instead, one cooks "in a somewhat moderate oven, that the heat may reach the center of the soufflé by degrees."  One did not lower the range burner to "medium" either.  One "moved the pan to the corner of the fire."  No Crisco, or Wesson oils. It was animal fats and clarified butter. And you did not drain the used grease into a soup can and throw it away, so instructions for reconstituting your cooking fats were important.  “ Every time the frying fat is used it should, after having been melted, be strained through a towel, for the majority of foods which it has served to cook must have left some particles behind them which might prove injurious to the foods that are to follow. ” A squirt of lemon oil will remove odors. There are in all 2973 recipes, beginning with sauces and stocks. Amazon sells the hardcover new for $17.19, but it can be had used for $6.  My copy is 35 years old, and runs good.  My suggestion is to buy it used for friends and relatives who vote (D), and explain that thanks to the ratbastard democrats, you've lost your savings and can't afford new anymore, so it's their fault. That way you can be kind and thoughtful, and spiteful all at once.  USA!  It's why we'll win.

I'm intrigued by criteria Obama-Rama-Elect applies when selecting military appointments?  Even more, I wonder about angst the chosen should experience while weighing whether to serve this president. A man who has promised to cut our missile defense, and defund development of future combat systems? Not to mention his promise to yank us out of Iraq, and play footsy with the likes of his Iranian soul mate?  I have jumbled emotions.  On the one hand, I don't trust any  field grade officer, present or erstwhile, who trucks with the democrat party.  There is absolutely no way to reconcile patriotism and honor with left-wing political activism.  Period. On the other hand, it's crucial that congressional democrats not succeed in driving our best military men, and women, out of service to their country.  While I think it was a huge mistake, in the lomg term, to eliminate the military draft, I see efforts to reinstate it by the likes of Charles Rangel, as infiltration.  And while I would view it as a dreadful event, I can nevertheless think of a scenario where a military takeover of a putrid gummint would be preferable to not.  And so could you.

Why I'm Demoralized.

Okay, I have to get the election out of the way, so I'm just going to say it. I am demoralized.  Not so much by Obama's election, as by how he won.  Years of our kids being undermined by an education system run by 60's antiwar hippies, combined with the abdication by news media of all pretense of political neutrality, and sophisticated networks of election fraud were all brought to bear in this perfect storm of an election.  Election?  "Government overthrow" is a more proper mot juste.  The left media have imposed upon us their pornographic vision of a socialist government.  In 2004 Newsweek's Evan Thomas announced in advance that media wanted Kerry to win, and their efforts on his behalf would be worth 15%. Those efforts weren't nearly enough, so this time they got serious.  Forget the 604 million dollars Obama raised, 300 million of which actually came from identifiable sources.  How much were the non-stop, year-long news media infomercials Obama benefited from worth?  A billion?  Two?   With just a few infomercials a day, Ron Popiel convinced men to spray their bald spots with painted lint.  We're talking ShamWow times a 100 million, in Obama's case.  Give me one percent of the media impressions he received, and I'll get Margaret Cho elected Governor of Utah. But, even with all that behind him, Obama's campaign resorted to fraud and deceit on historic levels. This election wasn't just the 1972 Olympic Basketball Championship, where game officials kept putting time on the clock until the USSR scored the winning basket (although that's going on in Minnesota, where Al Franken needed 500 points after the game supposedly ended, and is still at the free throw line making foul shots).  No, this election was the 1919 World Series, where the game was fixed in the locker room, by the players, before the first inning was played. It was under-aged  Chinese gymnast He Kexin fraudulently winning gold medals, and when the  Chinese government's own internet profile of  her as a 13-year old was proffered, the Chinese government erased it.  Poof!  The medals stood.  They stole the tactic from Obama.  Or is it the other way? The real significance of Obama's birthplace controversy, which by the way the United States Supreme Court has agreed to review,  isn't so much about his citizenship status, as it is about the Rule of Law.  Law which has been flouted at every Obama turn. It's how a federal judge dismissed Philip Berg's COLB lawsuit, not on its merits, but because Berg didn't have standing to bring the suit.  It's how  the news media refused to entertain any questions about missing gaps in Obama's life.  It's about Ohio's Secretary of State throwing at least 200,000 fraudulent ACORN ballots into the pool of counted votes.  It's about the media refusal to acknowledge miles of video tape, and yards of documents showing Obama's close association with terrorists.  Terrorists who once contemplated  the murder of 25 million Americans who didn't respond to their reeducation camps.  It's about Obama promising  to "cut investment in  'unproven' missile defense systems.'"   His promise to "stall development of future combat systems."  His call for a new "civilian army," equal to our military in capability and funding.  Maybe he'll call it the Republican Guard.  It's about show trials, and indictments of Bush Administration officials by punk ass Marxists,  for political differences.  That's why I'm demoralized. Any future similarities between the coming Obama regime, and the ideas of James Madison and Thomas Jefferson will be oversights.  Peter Hitchins nailed it when he wrote "The United States, having for the most part a deeply conservative people, had until now just about stood out against many of the mistakes which have ruined so much of the rest of the world."   Conversely, Rep. John Lewis happily told Charlie Gibson that Obama's election was "a nonviolent revolution."   And that's the problem  The overthrow of the United States should be a very violent affair, indeed. At least as violent as 1775–1783, 1812-1815, 1861-1865, 1917-1919, 1941-1945, 1950-1953, the WALL and the Desert years that created and protected this  greatest nation in history, combined. It will be still, if my interpretation of events withstand scrutiny, and are shared by enough people.  Some of whom fly F-22's.

While watching It's a Wonderful Life for the first time several years ago, I was stuck by how much we'd changed in my lifetime. Consider this scene from pre-ACLU indoctrination days of yore.  My point being that the audience accepted, even expected the cop's behavior.  Generation Me are not used to being deprived; couldn't recite even 5 of the Ten Commandments, and view the law as something to game.  When our elected keepers begin fearing for their own safety, they'll react.  Predictably. That's my guess.

I wish I'd been able too get this sooner, but  c'est la vie as that say in that snooty French restaurant in Annapolis.  Most every trace of Obama's past is missing,  "locked-up,"  or suspicious. In August I finished coding my document search software, which compares phraseology, nuance, spelling and word construction. against every document on the internets, against Obama's speeches and written promises. Billions and billions of documents. I call it Obama Bot, and sent it crawling the nets.  Bingo. Last night it came back with a hit on Obama's senior thesis!  It was found on a computer in Pakistan, owned by a Sohale Siddiqi, and titled "MAKING THE RICH PAY ME,"  and has over 184 matching points  (stuff too complicated for you).  Not only that, Siddiqi's companion diary notes that "Barry worked on this every night we were room-mates.  He had several variations." To put it plaimly, it's a certified match. Aside from its historical significance, it gives us an early glimpse into the mind of this man who will be our President, and the foundation upon which his economic plan is based. This may be my Nobel!

All of that is about to change. Continental Promotions Group headquartered in Canada is one of the rebate industry’s largest and oldest players and has huge ties to computer hardware rebates. CPG is putting the screw to its customers to “repay” rebates that have already been funded. Hardly what we would call “Fulfilling the Promise of the Brand” as it is stated on its home page. ” Are you with me?  So far it looks like a simple case of corporate embezzlement. CPG is trusted with this money in order to make sure the consumer is “safe.” We have it from good sources currently that CPG owes consumers somewhere in the neighborhood of $9M to $12M worth of rebates. The problem here is that CPG currently only has about $3M in cash to cover that $9M-$12M in rebates owed to the consumer. Where that money has gone to is anyone’s guess and we will leave speculation up the law enforcement authorities and the courts. Currently CPG is contacting its customers telling them that they will need to yet again deposit money into CPG accounts in order for CPG to have the cash to cover rebate checks to consumers. This is money that companies have already paid CPG previously. CPG is telling its customers that if they do not pony up AGAIN, consumer rebate check payments are in jeopardy. In our example above, CPG is not sure where the $100,000 is that Company X paid them, but we are sure that they want another $100,000 or CPG will start bouncing consumers’ MIR checks. ” So, we have a company evidently caught red-handed in a massive fraud.  Is their response to fire corporate officers, and open the books to investigators?  No.  Their response is taken directly from the script congress is using in the sub prime meltdown.  That is, brazenly demand from their already defrauded constituency more   cash to cover the embezzlement, or customers won't get entitlements.
