Muslim Brotherhood Calling Shots for NYPD

After forcing the FBI and CIA to purge their counterterrorism training programs of all references to “Islam” in “Islamic terrorism,” the Muslim Brotherhood in America has turned its sights on the New York Police Department (NYPD).

Writers from the Brennan Center for Justice at the New York University School of Law have posted op-ed pieces in The New York Times criticizing NYPD Commissioner Ray Kelly for appearing in The Third Jihad and authorizing its screening in NYPD training courses. [When Liberals Run Things- cont]

Democrats vs. Republicans: Stars They Won't Pay to See; Movies They Hate and Love

Take DeNiro
Res Ipsa Loquitur

Democrats are bigger moviegoers

This is likely fueled by Hollywood's reputation -- among both parties -- for churning out movies that promote liberalism (Avatar was named by the most moviegoers as having a liberal agenda). During the past six months, Democrats have seen on average 5.7 movies in a theater, while Republicans have seen fewer than four.

STORY: Democrats vs. Republicans: Stars They Won't Pay to See; Movies They Hate and Love

When DeNiro walked on stage with Hillary Clinton in  a 2006 Hillary for Senate fundraiser,  my response was visceral.  First thing I remember feeling was disappointment.  That this movie star, whose every film I had seen, and enjoyed, was shilling for that hateful Clinton twat (remember, this is me thinking viscerally.  That can get ugly).  Second thing was, "Jesus, what is he?  5-feet two?  I could kick his ass (more visceral stuff, pay no attention)."

I'm not alone here, despising Her Filthiness's guts. She is to Obama what Frick is to Frack.  The whole world understands that H.C. is despised in much of America, but not Hollywood evidently. When the Brit show Top Gear went to Florida on a  driving adventure to New Orleans, there were challenges the three stars had to endure.  One was to paint signs on each other's cars designed to get the driver killed (during the ride through Alabama).  This was one of them.

Tell me what blockbuster hits DeNiro has starred in since 2006?  Maybe the first Fokkers  movie, but that's about it,  and he was only in a supporting role.  A lot of his old box office, like me, prolly have trouble suspending disbelief when his character appears in a movie.  It's hard not to let the mind wander.  Think about where  they find all those midgets.   Hollywood is a business.  You don't last long when you go out of your way to alienate 65% of  the customer pool.

Second Amendment and Stinger Missiles

Tails of the Gun

Missiles

What you'll see is a fully armored Syrian tank being hit by an Israeli laser-guided, steel-penetrating, phosphorous-filled "hand held" rocket. The rocket is small, very portable and is a tightly controlled weapon.

Each one is accounted  for when they are checked out and back in.

There must be no fewer than 2  soldiers present to verify the use, one must be a senior officer with a  minimum of 10 years military service.

This  tank was headed for one of Israel 's settlements.

"Skyhawker Doug" sent this as an example of gun porn, and it is that.  It also prompts me to once again discuss the citizen soldier's right under the Second Amendment.  The Founders unarguably instructed that we keep a wary eye on those who govern us, and to remove them, by force if necessary, if they become tyrannical. It was to that end they did Amendment # 2, the express right to arm ourselves.  I shan't conjecture whether that time has arrived  (but it prolly is way past that); I will dwell on something else.

Our right to own a musket for was okay in 1776, because that's all the gummint could muster against its citizenry.  Not today.  Here we are, many of us,  still fighting the battle to even own guns, when the debate ought to be missile ownership.  And no, I don't mean Wal-Mart selling Stingers to Tom, Dick, or Harry.  But organized citizen militias (of which Maryland now has none) ought have that opportunity.  Tanks, choppers and howitzers too. I know its a radical idea, and that's the shame of it.

Cop Chases Himself on Snoop Cam

Police officer 'chased himself' after being mistaken for burglar
"chased himself round the streets" for 20 minutes after a CCTV operator mistook him for suspect.

Res Ipsa Loquitur

... the probationary officer from Sussex Police searched for suspects, the camera operator radioed that he had seen someone “acting suspiciously” in the area.

But he failed to realise that it was actually the plain-clothed officer he was watching on the screen, according to details leaked to an industry magazine.

The operator directed the officer, who was on foot patrol, as he followed the "suspect" on camera last month, telling his colleague on the ground that he was "hot on his heels".

The officer spent around 20 minutes giving chase before a sergeant came into the CCTV control room, recognised the “suspect” and laughed hysterically at the mistake.

This story (sent by the lady  mary) prompted me to post the video  How To Beat Speed Cams in the header video theatre,  which as far as I know no a soul watches, even though I sent in a cleaning crew to get rid of all sticky stuff on the seats.  Still, you can also see it here.

A far more intesting, uplifting, and quite legal fantasy story is Obama being attacked by a moose.

Cinabons on the cheap

Hoes in the Outfield

Cinabons are a family favorite, but they're pricey, and quite large (high calonic caloric).   I started making them with my Cuisinart Bread Maker (a truly great thing), but they're a few hours in the making, and relatively labor intensive. Still, MoSup loves her Sunday Cinabons, so I went to the test kitchen.

Pillsbury makes a Cinnabon , but a tube of 8 costs a hefty $3.75.  But that's not why you'll want to buy the cheaper store brand. This is why.  They cost about $1.29 for 8, but more importantly store brand cinnamon rolls  unroll very easily (see my picture); whereas the Pillsbury won't  unroll at all. You see where this is headed then.

Do this filling:
(Real Cinnabons don't add the granny sugar; your choice)
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon plus 2-1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
This is enough for two batches, so save half for next week.  Unroll the packaged cinnamon rolls, over-spread with your filling, and re-roll.  Cook per package instructions.    I add Craisins, because we add Crasins to everything.  You can extend the provided  icing with a  little cream cheese if you want more goop. So,  for just a little added work you'll have something that's remarkable.   Yum.  Yum.

What's that?  You have Type 2 diabetes?  Even better.

You're welcome.

Rodge, I think you're way off base when you say there is no rapprochement possible with the Liberal knob wankers in our country who cause so much intolerable vexation, and that they ought be dropped from a helicopter into an active volcano even though that's silly because—  because there are 30+ million of them and even if we used every chopper in the country it would take .... wait --   pi(x) = \sum_{n=1}^{\infty}\frac{\mu(n)}{n}\Pi(x^{1/n}) = \Pi(x) -\frac{1}{2}\Pi(x^{1/2})-\frac{1}{3}\Pi(x^{1/3}) +\frac{1}{4}\Pi(x^{1/4}) -\frac{1}{5}\Pi(x^{1/5}) +\frac{1}{6}\Pi(x^{1/6}) - \cdots zeta(s) = 2^s\pi^{s-1}\ \sin\left(\frac{\pi s}{2}\right)\ \Gamma(1-s)\ \zeta(1-s) \!.  ... okay,  it would take a long  long time.  Is it worth all that?

The Man Who Would Be Henry the VIII

The Bad King

When Obamacare was signed into law in March, the President assured Americans that it does not, in any way, shape, or form, fund elective abortions. He even signed an executive order to this effect. The only problem with Obama's claims, which are being repeated by politicians like Harry Reid and partisan groups like Democrats for Life of America, is that they are not true. [2010 -Does Obamacare Fund Abortion? Let Us Count the Ways]

I am proud of the Catholic church.  Not for religious reasons; because aside from teapartiers they are the only institution to declare war on this evil government as a matter of principle.   I  pray they won't believe the sure to follow lies that will issue from Obama's lying blue lips. We all know what Obama promises are worth. And we know what happens to people who believe him.

An aside, about principles.  Clint Eastwood's unprincipled  (given his prior denunciation of the government seizure of General Motors)  'IT'S HALFTIME IN AMERICA',  is also based on a false premise.  It's not Halftime, it's Sudden Death Overtime.  Whoever scores in the November election wins; the loser can pound sand. If Obama wins, it's truly game over for Americans.

A $60 Bidet

Perfect Gizmos and Gadgets

The Shiney-Hiney

Res Ipsa Loquitur

I bought this last week from Sellout Woot.  It was $59.95 with free shipping and no tax. It arrived two days after order, and I had it installed and percolating in less than 30 minutes.  It appears to be very sturdy, and is simple as 1-2-3 to use. Which is important.  This was my first experience with a bidet, and  had only an idea of what to expect.  The reasons I bought it are, in order:
  • It's a gadget
  • It will give me the cleanest nether region in the land
  • It will save money (I haven't used so much as a square of TP since the first "white glove" inspection passed muster).
  • If I ever break both arms, or become infirm, I won't have to call the neighbors over for help to, you know.
As you can see, Brondell sells several models that cost up to $600.  Speaking for myself, there are no additional features on any that interest me.  I'm at the point where I want my appliances with one switch.  On.  Off.  The portable Shiney-Hiney (as I will call it) pretty much fits that description. and it works swell.  I know what you're thinking.  "Rodge, is the spray powerful enough to handle a manly man?  Let me tell you, at full strength you can etch designs on your sphincter,  if that's something that appeals to you.  It's the best thing I've bought since the George Foreman grill.

You're welcome

Who Castrated Ann Coulter?

(JJ from Good Times) Evidently size does not matter

Roll-Over

... something has happened to Coulter. I don't have firsthand knowledge that she was kidnapped by RINO Team Six and taken to an offshore medical facility where she was forced to undergo a gruesome surgical procedure, but many of her recent columns suggest that something of the sort must have occurred. What else could explain her endorsement of Mitt Romney?
[...]
Her inexplicable support for Romney has led her beyond being merely wrong about his chances in the general election to writing things that are either deliberately disingenuous or genuinely ignorant. The latest example of this tragic development is a column titled, "Three Cheers for RomneyCare." As its title suggests, this piece actually defends the Massachusetts "universal" health law. When I first read it, I could hardly believe such horse manure had emanated from Coulter's keyboard. The column opens with this howler: "If only the Democrats had decided to socialize the food industry or housing, RomneyCare would probably still be viewed as a massive triumph for conservative free-market principles -- as it was at the time."  [Who Castrated Ann Coulter?]

Last February Mark Levin  was puzzled by Ann Coulter’s bizarre endorsement of Chris Christie, who supports gun control, amnesty, Obamacare and climate legislation.  Before that, way back in July 2009, I was puzzled when she denounced us "birthers" as kook conspirators.  Not because she took a disagreeable stance, but because she did it without explanation. That was way out of character for someone who tackled the false,  but sacred-to-the-left image of Joe McCarthy as arch fiend..  Ann writes whole  books explaining her contrariness, but here, A dicto simpliciter

I don't jettison friends over political differences—   if the differences are presented factually and are philosophically consistent I agree to disagree.  That especially goes for someone I've admired as much as Ann Coulter.  But, WTF?  What's going on?

Ann stated in the past that she hasn't married because she's never found a man who's both stimulating and as smart as she.  She's dated several card carrying Liberals in the past, and herein may be the solution to this vexatious question. A woman in love can, you know, adapt. The  post-Carville Mary Matalin,  for example,  is a good deal more, er, politically pragmatic then the original, conservative  firebrand.

And there's the Stockholm syndrome possibility.  Ann Coulter is greeted at every public appearance by Liberals determined that she should not be allowed to speak.  Fights break out; violence always a possibilty.  Ann would not be the first person who succumbed to wanting safety from this; and to be loved.   The most conspicuous example I can think of is David Brock,  although Ann Couilter could not possibly jettison all her principles  in a stroke.  One hopes.

The Photo That Could Win Romney the White House
The leading Republican candidate should schedule a visit with Catholic leaders now, according to our political columnist, and reap the political benefits in November.

WYSIWYG

This is my response to any appeal to bring religion into this election (as long as the candidate is not a Muslum).  What a bunch of crap, that 'photo-op' notion.  I'm a Roman Catholic, and I could care less that Ronald Reagan wasn't, if you catch my drift.  It's unlikely, bordering on  impossible, that Obama would carry the practicing Catholic vote as it is.  I don't care that Mitt Romney is a Mormon.  I do care that he would be just another version of  the Bushes, McCain, et.al,  shoved down our throats by the establishment GOP, and lacking any revolutionary fervor for  lopping heads.  Same goes for the rest of the pack, except for Ron Paul who comes with his own bag of worries. I must content myself then with a stop-gap hope that the Obama monster will be slain in November because, to mix metaphors,  we're not just on the brink, we're leaning 20º to leeward.
