Liars in Power Down Under -- Too!

GREEN CRAP

Let's do some Libs on the Barbie

On July 1st, the much hated Carbon Tax was implemented in Australia. Given that PM Gillard made a promise for no Carbon Tax on video at the beginning of her term in August 2010, then broke that promise, followed by a devil may care attitude, I can’t imagine anything that would enrage Australians as much as this.Since there is so much coverage on this epic failure of the Gillard government, I thought I’d create a collage of coverage here. Follow the links to the appropriate essays and news articles. There’s also a speech at the end. First up is Jo Nova:

The-Tax-Whose-Name-Shall-Not-Be-Spoken Begins

Australians will pay $77 million per week in carbon taxes, while Europe with the 30 most green countries pays just one third of that, according to the Mineral Council of Australia. (Anthony Watts, continued)

Even more "interesting" than this cock-up are some of the comments, which I think many of you will find a kindredness with.

I’m beginning to think that Robert Kennedy Jr. and Ed Begley Jr. have compromising photos of every politician on earth. What else could possibly explain the reflexive genuflecting to the green altar that 90% of politicians engage in? It is mind boggling.

Noelene says:

At least we have an opposition that will get rid of the tax.It could be worse,we could have an opposition leader like McConnell Turnbull who went along with the ETS until the Liberals ousted him as leader.

This is what you get when a society does not have someone like George Bush to stand up to up to the UN and the superstitious crowd and the purveyors of fear from the Left like that lone Chinaman facing the tanks in Tienanmen square

Pamela Gray says:

Carbon taxes are worse than sharia law. Every man, woman, and child is covered under the carbon burka. And this tax will be as hard to remove as the real burka has been for women who live under sharia law and that suffocating black cloth

I'll give us credit -we have so far put the fear of god in enough congress critters to keep the hundred or so attempts like this to fail.  So far.  If the Aussies would just hang their Green-commies— well, that would really reverberate.

It finally arrived yesterday (they did send a notice about availability problems).  Sumbitch blew me away.  I fully inflated in about 3 minutes, and I slept on it last night to try it out.  It was great .  We have a king-size Sleep Number bed, and this was it's equal, IMO.  Better, actually,  because of the adjustable back-rest.  The acid test of course is durability, and only time and usage will determine that, but for now  I give it

Elizabeth Warren "Deathers"

That Aunt Bea was actually Bess/Bessie Reed Veneck, sister of Pauline Reed, Warren's mother.

And looky here! Elizabeth Warren was the informant on Aunt Bea's death certificate and she said Aunt Bea was WHITE! Even though one of the choices was American Indian, actually the first in the list, Ms. Warren still said old Aunt Bea was white. Hmmm............what's that tell ya, folks? -[Pollys grandaughter]

Another block in our understanding the Massachusetts voter.  People not bothered by alcoholic senators who drive off a bridge, then swim off leaving evening prey to suffocate when the air bubble she found is depleted of oxygen.  People not bothered by a congressman who kept a gay whorehouse. Or by a a virtual "Stolen Valor" poster boy who preys on rich women.

That Elizabeth Warren is even still alive in her race against Sen. Scott Brown cements them on the list of careless ignoramuses— with the likes of Maryland's or California's own.

Roberts changed vote at last minute ...
Ahem
Rotting AF1

Intelligence and security experts are outraged at the Clinton administration's probable use of blackmail and susceptibility to it as the Congress fails to investigate.
The Clinton Team and Blackmail

Now we learn that Roberts switched his vote

I'm thinking the same thing most of you are.  Going forward from the commencement of Obamacare hearings,,  there were frequent- if not daily- stories about threats (pressure) being put on the court by Obamunists.

Rewind to Clinton's impeachment trial in the House.  It is widely believed that Hillary gave her purloined raw FBI files on congressional Republicans  to pornographer Larry Flynt,  who used them to blackmail Republican House members, and most likely Senators (who failed to convict him).  We know that at least three House Republicans, Livingstone, Hyde and Barr refused to submit,  and had past marital infidelities  exposed.

Don't think for a minute that this thug  administration would  not use the same tactics, as I believe they did.   Roberts was found wanting.

And there was this, from just a few weeks ago (June 21).
Rotting AF1
I am surprised by the 7-2 decision:  I woulda guessed 5-4.  There have been a few more recent rulings the same way, where I was surprised over the libtard vote.  I can't help but worry that there is a quid pro quo at work here — by the liberal justices to gain the deciding vote in Obamacare (which looks like Monday).
I know, silly.

After posting, I felt stupid because I know that justices vote immediately after the oral arguments are finished, so, I thought, what a stupid thing to say. My stupidity had to do with not realizing a justice could change at the last minute.

I have to admit one thing --- our Friday guest stopped in Delaware (no sales tax) and bought some big-ass MAC, that was still in the box— she brought it in so it wouldn't be stolen form the car—  and an iPad.

Since the iPad came with zero  written directions, she asked me to  figure out how to get out of the "airplane mode" she was stuck in, and hook her up to my wireless.  In the process of learning how to do all this (first one I'd held in my grubby little hands) I became envious.  There was a day when I'd have been first on the block to own one, but those days are gone.  Right now I just want a fricken toaster that will toast a bagel in less than 3 minutes, and the muscles to chop wood at a decent rate.

Rotting AF1

Without further explanation I lost everything computer I've done for the past year.  Passwords.  E-mail. What's galling is that I did everything right, but Microsoft failed.   So yeah, it sucks, but I'll look at it like doing another crossword puzzle (I did a dozen during the dark).  A new adventure, akin to parachuting into occupied California—  with no suitcase nukes.

Here's a random experience from the dark time..  For the first time in ages I listed to C-Span radio on my short wave.  WTF  happened to that once fine service.  Every time I tuned in there was some democrat  blabbing on as though not a person in the world would call in and spank them with facts.  I guess, because none did.  Not once.  Oh, there were callers, but all more radical then the guest, and that's something when you consider the two that drove me the most insane were some Jersey Rep. named Rob Andrews??, and then Henry Waxman. I had to leave.

Here's my quandary.  I believe acts committed in the heart and mind carry the metaphysical weight of being actually committed.  I am then a mass murderer several times over this weekend.  I found comfort in sending Stalin-like numbers straight to hell.  I'm hoping that by confessing here,  I will get some credit for contrition on the Big Day.  Like, I meant it in the good way.

  4. We're having unexpected company, so I had to paint every room in the house and take out the garbage
  5. At the barber shop this morning I read the Baltimore Sun which was all Obamacare Gloat.  I hypervenilated.

Okay.  I'm ready.  And. I haven't been so worried about anything since Hillary looked like she'd be the 2008 presidential candidate, instead of that zero named Obama — who hadn't a chance in hell to win, and neither did she. nbsp; I'm saying a rosary.  Y'all follow your own custom.  I'm including the picture below ["Removing a rusted chastity belt"] because its symbolic of what happens when your masters don't trust you, and try to control you with evil devices like Obamacare.  And, it made me laugh.

Amy Howe:
To answer a follow-on question about the Plain English explanation, yes, there is also the so-called Medicaid coercion issue -- whether Congress can require the states to comply with the law's new requirements for eligibility for Medicaid or risk losing all of their funding for Medicaid. But the main issue that most people are focusing on is the mandate.

Decisionmas Morning

Predictions for this morning ...
"I hope ... someone on television cries. My guess is Ed Schultz ..."

[Today] is Obamacare Decisionmas. Don’t act like you haven’t been waiting for this moment all your life. Or, at least, you’ve been waiting for the endless whining to – please, God, make it stop – from the left to abate,

[...]
  1. SCOTUS strikes down individual mandate in a 5-4 decision, but keeps the full law pending it’s actual enforcement, a la Arizona. It’s likely the Attorneys general only have the capacity to sue on the single issue of state-based expenditures.
  2. John Roberts writes, because that’s what John Roberts does. And he’s a smarty pants, and he hasn’t managed to eek out an opinion since May.
  3. Scalia concurs, but writes his own lengthy opinion, determining that the whole thing should be trashed on Commerce Clause grounds, despite having the exact opposite opinion in Gonzalez v. California.
  4. Ginsberg writes the dissent on paper that has been caressed by Breyer’s tears. Sotomayor and Kagan concur.
[...]

"In addition, I hope, if the mandate goes down,"
  • someone on television cries. My guess is Ed Schultz, but I’d be willing to extend that guess to Andrew Sullivan, though that’s more of an outside bet.

[...]

Via Gerard:, Naked DC Blog, the most delicious thing I've found in some time: (based on a this single entry).  Is that the best opening ¶ you've ever seen, or what?  [-- Predictions for tomorrow morning] I'm atremble in anticipation..

Dems Admit Obama’s Not Eligible
"So What?.  We can nominate who we want."

Res Ipsa Loquitur

Weary of defending in court the Constitutional eligibility of their man at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, the Democrat Party has finally admitted Barack Obama is not qualified to be president of the United States– and that it doesn’t matter.

According to a motion filed by Party attorneys in a Tennessee eligibility lawsuit, “…Defendants [the Tennessee Democrat Party and the Democrat National Committee] assert that the Tennessee Democrat Party has the right to nominate whoever it chooses to run as a candidate, including someone who is not qualified for the office.” [continue - Western Journalism Center]

Since Obama has  declared a willingness to rule without congressional support, or within constitutional constraint,  is this a case of "in for a penny, in for a pound?  I believe Obamunists know, at this point, that the only way they can stay in office, and salvage their soon-to-be emasculated takeover,  is through extra-constitutional means.  Where he was born, and other legalities then are moot.

No argument matters.
You MUST show up in person, where in the past you could renew online, for up to 10 years at a time.

This is how political correctness impacts us all.  Because 'some' abuse the privilege, but must not be inconvenienced, we, the rest of us, must ALL be inconvenienced in the name of equality.

But, you don't need a picture ID to vote, that would be racist.

Maybe the ID required should be the same to vote, get a library card, board a plane, rent a DVD, be admitted to a hospital, get treatment from a Doctor or Dentist, fill a prescription, or just rent a car.

Having passed any number of voter ID laws, all condemned by the Democrat Party, and nullified by Democrat judges, Georgia appears to have been forced to spank everyone— to assuage Eric Holder and the Obama taliban.   A microcosm of the USA.

Mitt's Choice

                      —   you berks.

From  the Drudge linked story (to unreliable Politico) about Obama losing ground to Romney in Ohio

Obama is clinging to his lead based on his strength with three demographic groups: black voters, young voters and women. Obama leads among African-Americans 93 percent to 6 percent, and he beats Romney among young voters 54 percent to 36 percent. Women support Obama over Romney 52 percent to 41 percent.

The problem Romney faces then, with young voters, will be to identify with them.  Here are two who commented to the Politico article.

Res Ipsa Loquitur

Willie Tate · Top Commenter · San Diego State University

Show me a poll where Romney is leading. Despite all you say, Americans know Romney is not on their side. It's not struggling when you're ahead...Romney is struggling to stay relevant. What is he for? I don't know either...and neither do the American people.

We know you're better off than you were four years ago, so why would you not be for Obama?

Res Ipsa Loquitur
Ryan Stewart · Top Commenter · Florida Atlantic University
As Gary and the right wing struggle to tell themselves what they want to hear, and reinforce all of the projection based drivel that keeps them deluded, the Romney campaign continues to hide, letting the Obama campaign define him.

Gary and the right continue to blather on, repeating the cable news drivel they were fed on the economy, and ignoring the independent economic analysis that shows the opposite.

People like Gary bought into all of the 2008 campaign projections, and never quite let them go. They always believed Obama was not up to the job, and have spent the last four years ignoring reality to reinforce their political house of cards.

Time for people like Gary to drop his spoon fed delusions, and study up.

It's clear then.  Romney must drive a railroad spike through his brain, and hope for the best if he's to have any chance of creating a dialog with that lot.

It's US! Donilon and Power

OBAMUNISM, The Party,

Donilon pegged as likely White House mole
It's Them!!

Tom Donilon- Mole in thr Whitehouse

It suggests that Thomas Donilon, the national security adviser, is a likely source in The Times reporting, considering he is “the commenter of record on events." Read more:

The book [The Amateur]  also describes a rivalry between Jones and his deputy Tom Donilon, who currently serves as National Security Adviser. Donilon, a longtime Democratic operative, made derogatory remarks about military commanders in Iraq and Afghanistan, the book says. Klein quotes Jones as once telling Donilon, “You have no credibility with the military.”

“When he (Jones) went into the Oval Office, he was usually accompanied by a phalanx of aides, including three political operatives who had played roles in Obama’s 2008 campaign,” Klein writes. “Jones’s chief of staff Mark Lippert; his deputy Tom Donilon, who had coached Obama for his debates against John McCain; and Dennis McDonough, the director of strategic communications. At times this group was expanded to include Hillary Clinton, Valarie Jarrett, David Axelrod, Rahm Emanuel, and on rare occasions, Michelle Obama.”

Another book, “Obama’s Wars” by Washington Post reporter Bob Woodward, released in 2010, also discussed the conflict between Jones and Obama’s political team.

Woodward’s book says that Jones saw the political team “as major obstacles to developing and deciding on a coherent policy.” Woodward identifies the group as including then-White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel, top adviser David Axelrod, and then-press secretary Robert Gibbs. “He (Jones) privately called them ‘the water bugs,’ the ‘Politburo,’ the ‘Mafia,’ or the ‘campaign set.’”

“There are too many senior aides around the president,” Jones is quoted as saying in the Woodward book. “‘They’re likely water bugs. They flit around. Rahm gets an idea at 10 a.m., a briefing by 4 p.m., and I will say ‘no’ because the work can’t be done in a day. The water bugs did not understand war or foreign relations, Jones felt.”
[ clipped from  Book Describes Rift Between Obama’s Nat’l Security Adviser and His Political Team: ‘Water Bugs’]

While I was reading The Amateur, questions about WH  security leaks were raging.  Two people I knew little about- Donilon and Samantha Power, screamed out "IT'S US!  as I read about them. Here's Power. I think this shows how pliable our nincompoop-in-chief is,  in the hands of the experienced hard core leftists he feels so comfortable with.  Too bad Power didn't suggest immolation while wearing a saffron robe instead of the bow.

.When it came to foreign affairs, no one had a more profound influence on Obama than Samantha Power, [a Harvard professor]who burst upon the scene in 2003 with her book , A Problem in Hell, which indicted America and other democracies for being "bystanders to genocide."

Samanta Power- Hates America
Obama made her a member and then appointed her to the National Council as special assistant to the president.

"US foreign policy has to be rethought," Power argued. "It needs not tweaking but overhauling ...Instituting a doctrine of mea culpa would enhance our credibility by showing American decision makers do not endorse the sins of their predecessors."

Power's answer to her own question was clear:she wanted Obama to "get down on one knee" and seek pardon for the sins of American Foreign policy."

        News From the Front

Rotting AF1

I have a computer on order, but other than an acknowledgment from Woot, I have nothing.  No shipping date or tracking number.   I think I made a mistake in taking the $5 shipping option instead of paying for FedEX.  At any rate, I have now crashed (permanently it seems) Windows "Safe Mode," from which I have so happily been operating.  This comes via my tiny Acer  notebook, with it's tiny screen, and it's tiny keypad, and its tiny  clock speed.  But, that's not what I wanted to say.

This is.  Microsoft are the dumbest canker blossoms on Earth.  Have to be,  I've been playing the game.  Trying to sort things by  following their instructions.  But damned near every thing they tell me to run results in

"This Program will not run in safe mode."

I'm not making that up.  Like the "System Restore Readiness Tool." After much formality,  like  proving I had a valid Windows license and a Green Card, etc., by running a program and sending them the code it generated, I was able to downloaded it.   The readiness tool instructed that I delete all Windows updates from the period I was having trouble.  Okay, that was easy.  Next I was to stop the system from reiinstalling the updates (link to appropriate page provided) by toggeling auto updates to "NO.".  Guess what?  That's right, "You cannot use this function in safe mode.

Just now, when I rebooted Windows (in safe mode), this message:  "Installing updates, do not turn off the computer."  Shit.  It got to "30% Complete" and hung.  For 20 seconds.  Then -- Blue Screen, and I STG I heard laughter coming from the speakers. !

I don't expect anyone to read this (except for the Appoles who can  smell the scent of wounded  PC from China.  Go ahead, I can take it, ya bastids.

This is catharsis.  Plus, I've been doing this blog for 10 years, and my guess is that I have accunmulated 1000 posts on one of my PCs going belly up. That collection would make  a nice coffee table book for Apple enthusiasts.

I wanted a picture so I borrowd this from Doug because I admired it, and it was free,
